Ii 19 Customer Reviews Description Released: Jun 23, 2015. 464 pages. In American Mojo: Lost and Found, Peter D. Kiernan, award-winning author of New York Times bestseller Becoming China’s Bitch, focuses on America’s greatest challenge—and opportunity—restoring the middle class to its full promise and potential. Our educated, skilled and motivated middle class was the cornerstone of America’s postwar economic might, but the country’s dynamic core has struggled and changed dramatically through the last three decades. Kiernan’s extensively researched story, told through individual histories, shows how the middle class flourished under unique ...

Culture Trumps Economics, cont.

I don't really care for arguments about the economic benefits of immigration - for the simple reason that culture trumps economics. Somewhere in After America, I quote a particularly fatuous slab of happy talk on the subject: 'Sober-minded economists reckon that the potential gains from freer global migration are huge,' writes Philippe Legrain in Immigrants: Your Country Needs Them. 'The World Bank reckons that if rich countries allowed their workforce to swell by a mere three per cent by letting in an extra 14 million workers from developing countries between 2001 and 2025, the world would be $356 billion a year better off, with the new migrants themselves gaining $162 ...

A Simple Solution to the Arab Migrant Crisis: Cancel 2022 World Cup in Qatar

And repurpose the $260 billion being spent on stadium construction in Qatar for shelter for migrant Arabs. It’s the least the Arabs could do for their fellow Arabs. Why should these poor Arabs have to live under the thumb of white racist Europeans — many of whom are hateful Christians, Jews, atheists, or agnostics — when their Arab brothers have plenty of money to construct them nice new homes in the Arab world? A single Arab country has over a quarter of a trillion dollars to spend on an absurd vanity project, but Europeans must take in every Arab in the world who wants to move to Europe (and, in time, all their kinsmen)? Even after writing off FIFA boss Serge ...

The Murderer Next Door: Why the Mind Is Designed to Kill David M. Buss 34 Customer Reviews Description Released: Apr 25, 2006. 288 pages. As acclaimed psychological researcher and author David Buss writes, "People are mesmerized by murder. It commands our attention like no other human phenomenon, and those touched by its ugly tendrils never forget." Though we may like to believe that murderers are pathological misfits and hardened criminals, the vast majority of murders are committed by people who, until the day they kill, would seem to be perfectly normal. David Buss's pioneering work has made major national news in the past, and this provocative book is sure to ...

Ann Coulter: Correcting Bill O’Reilly (Again!) On “Birthright” Citizenship And The Constitution [Full Thread]

To support his insane interpretation of the post-Civil War amendments as granting citizenship to the kids of illegal aliens, Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly is now taking job applications for the nonexistent—but dearly hoped-for—Jeb! administration, live, during his show. (Apparently my debate with O’Reilly will be conducted in my column, Twitter feed and current bestselling book, Adios, America, against the highest-rated show on cable news.) Republicans have been out of the White House for seven long years, and GOP lawyers are getting impatient. So now they’re popping up on Fox News’ airwaves, competing to see who can denounce Donald Trump with greater vitriol. ...

Debt Is Good

www.nytimes.com Debt Is Good Rand Paul said something funny the other day. No, really — although of course it wasn’t intentional. On his Twitter account he decried the irresponsibility of American fiscal policy, declaring, “The last time the United States was debt free was 1835.” Wags quickly noted that the U.S. economy has, on the whole, done pretty well these past 180 years, suggesting that having the government owe the private sector money might not be all that bad a thing. The British government, by the way, has been in debt for more than three centuries, an era spanning the Industrial Revolution, victory over Napoleon, and more. But is the point simply that ...

Trump and allies plot path to victory

For Donald Trump and his followers, the path to victory is fairly clear. First, consolidate the leads he enjoys in Republican polls; then turn out enough supporters to win early state contests; then ride a wave of new and energized anti-establishment voters to the Republican Party presidential nomination and beyond. In interviews with activists, analysts and Trump supporters in early voting states, a complicated picture emerges of what it would take to transform the billionaire real estate developer from a front-running candidate to a plausible nominee. Although not many people beyond Trump's orbit see it playing out that way, what is clear is that Trump has significant appeal with ...

Donald Trump, the GOP and the immigration swamp

Donald Trump should not be exempt from normal scrutiny or from consideration of the effect of his candidacy on conservatism's future. "This was not a subject that was on anybody's mind until I brought it up at my announcement." Donald Trump, on immigration, Republican debate, Aug. 6 Not on anyone's mind? For years, immigration has been the subject of near-constant, often bitter argument within the GOP. But it is true that Trump has brought the debate to a new place – first, with his announcement speech, about whether Mexican migrants are really rapists, and now with the somewhat more nuanced Trump plan. Druggies, drug dealers, rapists and killers are coming ...

WHY WHITE PEOPLE SEEK BLACK PRIVILEGE

With Milo Yiannopoulos’ shocking report that Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King is in fact white – according to Yiannopoulos, quoting blogger Vicki Page, “King is white and has been lying about his ethnicity for years” – taboo questions now arise about the nature of race in America. King, of course, isn’t the first leading black activist with no black biological background: Rachel Dolezal, former head of the Spokane, Washington NAACP and adjunct professor of African-American studies at Eastern Washington, turned out to be a white woman. However, King was a key figure in the same movement that now runs the Democratic Party, using the tools of racial ...

Like many of you, I have been entertained by the unstoppable clown car that is Donald Trump. On the surface, and several layers deep as well, Trump appears to be a narcissistic blow-hard with inadequate credentials to lead a country. The only problem with my analysis is that there is an eerie consistency to his success so far. Is there a method to it? Is there some sort of system at work under the hood? Probably yes. Allow me to describe some of the hypnosis and persuasion methods Mr. Trump has employed on you. (Most of you know I am a trained hypnotist and this topic is a hobby of mine.) For starters, Trump literally wrote the book on negotiating, called The Art of the Deal. So we know ...

Donald TrumpIt’s an unwritten commandment of politics: Thou shalt make no mention — ever — of a woman’s menstrual cycle. Bringing up women’s biological differences from males seems as mean-spirited as talking about the state of Donald Trump’s hairdo. There, I put it out there. Again. But you won’t hear me called a sexist pig waging a War on Men. Because making fun of The Donald on a superficial level is not just de rigueur in this Republican primary season. For a columnist, it represents a virtually required sexist double-standard. Where is the outrage? The billionaire real estate developer was swiftboated Thursday night. He was effectively tried and ...

It’s a bad week for wrestling fans, as Rowdy Roddy Piper is dead, and we learned that even Hulk Hogan is no match for Political Correctness. Like a Soviet official who has fallen out of favor, Hulk Hogan (pictured right, in happier days) has been airbrushed from the history of World Wrestling Entertainment, the company he turned into a global force, and whose owner, Vince McMahon, he turned into a billionaire. Yet the WWE’s decision may prove short-sighted, as the company and its owners remain vulnerable to a Politically Correct crusade despite disavowing their most legendary superstar. Hogan was the breakthrough star of professional wrestling, a hero to children of the 1980s and ...

Cuckservatism: The Cuckoo In The Conservative Movement’s Nest

Recently, I discussed how the crude but effective portmanteau “cuckservative” has taken the internet by storm. But I did not spend much time defining “cuckservative”—in part, because a term popularized in memes, message boards, and social media is not likely to have a coherent definition. However, the cuckservative meme may be having a lasting impact by getting people hitherto unaware of Dissident Right views exposed to them and causing them to rethink their old assumptions. So it’s worth examining in more detail. American Renaissance Editor Jared Taylor distilled many of the memes and snarky insults into a coherent and unified argument: that “the things ...

First They Ignore You, Then You Laugh At Them, Then You Win: How The “Cuckservative” Meme Is Undermining Conservatism Inc.

Gandhi probably never uttered his most quoted aphorism: “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” but many dissident movements–both before and after the misquote—have adopted it to describe their hoped-for trajectory from marginalization to victory. [The 10 most famous things never actually said, by Eoin O’Carroll, Christian Science Monitor, June 3, 2011] For the past several years, Conservatism Inc. and the Main Stream Media have effectively ignored the Dissident Right and all other heretical thinkers on race. In fact, the only time groups like American Renaissance or VDARE.com typically receive any attention is when the ...

Donald Trump and the Fed-Up Crowd

Donald Trump — a former liberal and benefactor of Democrats — is still surging. But his loud New York lingo, popular put-downs of obnoxious reporters and trashing of the D.C. establishment are symptoms, not the catalyst, of the growing popular outrage of lots of angry Americans who are fed up. The fed-up crowd likes the payback of watching blood sport in an arena where niceties just don’t apply anymore. At least for a while longer, they enjoy the smug getting their comeuppance, as an uncouth, bullheaded Trump charges about, snorting and spearing liberal pieties and more sober and judicious Republicans at random. Perhaps they don’t see the abjectly crude Trump as any ...

Forget Trump and Bernie: Here’s Why Clinton or Bush Will Be the Next President

Political elite has absolutely no fear of Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are rising in the polls and seemingly pose a threat to the political establishment. Come the 2016 primaries, however, Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton will likely be at the top of the pack. The oligarchy that has controlled American politics for generations is still firmly in control despite the illusion of change. In no way do Trump or Sanders threaten this control despite the corporate media’s fascination with them and polls that appear to show them gaining favor among potential voters. A CNN-ORC International poll conducted between July 22-25 demonstrates the dominance of the ...

From the New York Times last night:Two inspectors general have asked the Justice Department to open a criminal investigation into whether sensitive government information was mishandled in connection with the personal email account Hillary Rodham Clinton used as secretary of state, senior government officials said Thursday. What does that have to do with whether or not Joe Biden intends to run for president? Well, the relationship between the Obamas and the Clintons has always been -- to put it mildly -- strained. There are all kinds of reasons why. The Clintons resent the righteous ass-whipping Obama handed Hillary in the 2008 Democratic primaries. The Obamas resent the fact that the ...

Why Some People Will Always Bow to Tyrants
Post Date: 2015-07-19 17:35:26 by Rufus T Firefly

As America continues to descend into a vicious police state, many have wondered how it all came to this. The easiest answer to that question, is that we let it happen. No matter how brutal a regime may be, tyrants never come to power unless they gain the approval, or at least the indifferent consent of their people. So the real question is, how come so many people seem absolutely complacent in the face of our crumbling cultural values, and the steady march of tyranny? Even worse, how can so many people revel in it? It seems like the number of people who truly value freedom are severely outnumbered by idiots and power tripping busybodies. Granted, the number of people who want to be free ...

Why I Support Donald Trump’s Campaign – And It’s Probably Not What You Think… [Full Thread]

Begin with the end in mind – I’m not trying to convince anyone that Donald Trump is running a campaign to actually win the GOP nomination. Factually, I’m as uncertain and perhaps more skeptical as the next person. However, given that Trump has actually done things he normally wouldn’t do if this was a mere publicity stunt (ie. stock divestitures, removal of conflicts etc.), for the sake of intellectual argument, I’m going to assume, cautiously yet optimistically, he’s in it to win it. So why support him? Argument #1 – After all, he’s been a democrat, an independent, a Republican, and well, I have consistently despised Charlie Crist. Counter Argument – Then again, what about ...

Image Credit: Instagram/tednugentofficial"Americans are fed up with the political status quo..." Rock star and conservative activist Ted Nugent struck back at comments made by Ari Fleischer, former White House press secretary to President George W.
