Politico: Has the SPLC lost its way?
Post Date: 2017-06-28 16:27:16 by Tooconservative
Politicos lead story at this moment is a piece from the Magazine titled Has a Civil Rights Stalwart Lost Its Way? The stalwart in question is the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) a group which made its name suing the KKK but which now mostly makes news attacking mainstream conservative groups. That has led to a persistent critique that the SPLC overplays its hand. From Politico: As [SPLC founder Morris] Dees navigates the era of Trump, there are new questions arising around a charge that has dogged the group for years: that the SPLC is overplaying its hand, becoming more of a partisan progressive hit operation than a civil rights watchdog. Critics say the group ...
Smoking Marijuana Really Can Ruin Your Life
Post Date: 2017-06-27 07:40:09 by Gatlin
Hi. I am 26 years old and have been smoking weed for about 10 years now. I took about a year and ½ off, but I basically smoke everyday if I have some. I have been married for almost 5 years and I have 2 children a 4 month old boy and a 4 year old daughter. I have a very beautiful family and I want to stay with them forever. I have a good entry-level career (Microsoft Marketing) and we have a nice little house and nice cars, and lots of nice stuff. I guess you could say, on the surface, my life is as close to perfect as it gets. My wife does not smoke pot (she never has) and she does not want me to smoke either. I smoked when we met, but after I quit (for the time ...
Eugenics and Abortion [Full Thread]
Post Date: 2017-06-27 07:20:01 by sneakypete
I see and have seen passionate as well as sometimes intelligent discussions about these issues for years, but NEVER see any pros to oppose the cons. So I am going to state some in order to start a discussion where the OTHER side of the arguments is also stated. We all know the anti-eugenics and anti-abortion points, and they ALL seem to be based entirely on emotions and religious beliefs. The Eugenics people base their argument on some pretty solid facts, namely that there is a finite amount of resources available on the planet, and the sick, the lame, the stupid, and the lazy use up more than their fair share and contribute nothing in return in a modern world where grunt labor has very little ...
Who will speak for the children about impact of marijuana?
Post Date: 2017-06-26 22:29:49 by Gatlin
I am compelled to write to the community after attending the town of Truckee Marijuana Workshops to hear comments regarding the potential for allowing dispensaries, cultivation, processing, and delivery services to exist within our town boundaries. While there is no turning back to recreational use of marijuana; there is opportunity to gauge whether this community should allow access to the product that layers risk to our children and youth. THE FACTS Marijuana is classified as a Schedule I controlled substance, and under federal law, this classification has a high potential for abuse. Marijuana stimulates the pleasure centers of the brain; it is addictive in 9 percent of all users, in ...
Stevie Wonder: Can’t Say ‘Black Lives Matter’ When Blacks Are Killing Blacks
Post Date: 2017-06-23 13:31:22 by Tooconservative
While addressing gun violence at a North Minneapolis Conference on Peace, musician Stevie Wonder said it is contradictory to say, Black Lives Matter while black-on-black crime rages out of control. According to Billboard magazine, Wonder said, It is in your hands to do it. It is in your hands to stop all the killing and all the shooting wherever you might be. Because you cannot say, Black lives matter, and then kill yourselves. He continued: Because you know weve mattered long before it was said, but the way we show that we matter, the way that we show all the various people of color matter is by loving each other and doing something ...

CUT THE CRAP. ISLAM MUST BE EXTERMINATED. HERE’S HOW.
Post Date: 2017-06-06 08:55:46 by Stoner
CUT THE CRAP. ISLAM MUST BE EXTERMINATED. HERES HOW. So, a little review for those of you who may be new. Islam is a political system, NOT a religion, and unless and until humanity wakes the hell up and STOPS referring to it as a religion, there is no hope. Islam is a hyper-aggressive, militaristic, expansionist, totalitarian political system designed to create a super-rich micro-oligarchical ruling class with a massive, destitute, genetically handicapped underclass below. The paper-thin faux-religious facade was a conscious, specific con from the very beginning much like Mormonism and Scientology a pure racket using borrowed and piggy-backed religious motifs to lend ...
Liberals Are Shocked To Find We’re Starting To Hate Them Right Back
Post Date: 2017-06-01 20:39:01 by Tooconservative
I know its theoretically wrong for a Republican candidate to smack around an annoying liberal journalist, but that still doesnt mean that I care. Our ability to care is a finite resource, and, in the vast scheme of things, millions of us have chosen to devote exactly none of it toward caring enough to engage in fussy self-flagellation because of what happened to Slappy La Brokenshades. Sorry, not sorry. And thats not a good thing, not by any measure, but it is a real thing. Liberals have chosen to coarsen our culture. Their validation and encouragement of raw hate, their flouting of laws (Hi leakers! Hi Hillary!) and their utter refusal to accept democratic outcomes they ...
The Lessons of Sgt. Pepper’s 50 Years Later: Stop Fighting One Another and Focus on the Real Enemy

Count me out if its for violence. Dont expect me at barricades unless it is with flowers.... Whats the point of bombing Wall Street? If you want to change the system, its no good shooting people.John Lennon The more things change, the more they stay the same. America is still wrestling with many of the same problems todayendless wars, civil unrest, campus riots, racial tensions, police brutality, divisive politics, overreaching government agencies and threats to freedomthat it struggled with 50 years ago when the Beatles released Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. The hippies of the Sixties Generation who embraced flower ...
When Judges Legislate and Legislators Judge
Post Date: 2017-05-19 16:00:22 by cranky
Mark ended the week on one of his favorite TV shows, with Stuart Varney on Fox Business. Fox haven't posted the segment where Steyn mistook Stuart's son for the Belgian prime minister, but they did post this exchange, with Mark marveling at how the legislative and judicial branches appear to have swapped roles: "The congressional GOP is sending a very dangerous message. They're basically telling their voters elections don't matter and no matter what you vote for, nothing changes," he said. He said the system is "dysfunctional," since you have judges legislating while Congress holds "pseudo-court hearings" on things like Russian election ...
Special Prosecutor For Trump/Russia Investigation Is A Disaster
Post Date: 2017-05-17 20:09:06 by cranky
The Trump Administration may never recover from the decision of Deputy Attorney General Rob Rosenstein to cave into Democratic pressure and appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the totally fictitious scandal of Trumps relationship with Putin. The prosecutor, hired to investigate something that never happened, will not report Trumps innocence. Special prosecutors never do. They justify their own existence, importance, budget, and staff by finding something to prosecute. Usually the crime they end up going after is one that his own investigation has created. Remember the Valerie Plame affair? After years of work the special prosecutor found that no ...
Just When We Thought The Swamp Was Being Drained
Post Date: 2017-05-16 08:08:32 by HomerBohn
If you had an army some 30,000 strong and a court system stacked over the decades with judges who would allow you to break the laws, how much damage could you do to a country? We are about to find out in America thanks to the phony ex-president B. Hussein Obama. The ex-president said he was going to stay involved through community organizing and speak out on the issues and that appears to be one post-administration promise he intends to keep. He has moved many of his administration's top dogs over to an organization called Organizing for Action (OFA). OFA is behind the strategic and tactical implementation of the resistance we are seeing across America, and politically active courts ...
Trump must be winning!
Post Date: 2017-05-14 11:40:48 by Justified
Trump must be winning because progressives are becoming louder and crazier than they normally are. You can always tell when a non progressive is getting their way when msm goes absolutely bonkers and lies so much even they can't tell the truth any more. 90% of the news today is about trump freaking out or people jumping ship or he is going to get impeached or he is going to start WWIII or he is going start slavery again or whatever crazy progressives can sling! Go Trump!!!! ;) PS Maybe progressive's heads will start exploding in the street!!!
As U.S. seeks dominance, China gathers friends and seeks integration
Post Date: 2017-05-14 04:06:35 by A Pole
The U.S. Pentagon has endorsed a plan, known as the Asia-Pacific Stability Initiative (APSI), to invest nearly $8 billion to bulk up the U.S. presence in the Asia-Pacific region over the next five years by upgrading military infrastructure, conducting additional exercises, and deploying more forces and ships, The Wall Street Journal reported on May 7. That comes in addition to the $54 billion in new military spending requested for next years federal budget. The effort to bulk up the U.S. presence in the Asia-Pacific region is seen by backers of the plan as a way to signal U.S. commitment to the region. It was initially put forward by U.S. Senator John McCain, and the general concept ...
GOP Loves Obamacare
Post Date: 2017-05-12 16:12:39 by Hondo68
The House of Representatives Endorses Obamacare Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives crafted a partisan compromise bill that endorsed and reinforced the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. This was done notwithstanding claims to the contrary by President Donald Trump and the House Republican leadership, who want us to believe that this bill, if it becomes law, will effectively repeal and replace Obamacare. Obamacare is a stool with four problematic legs. The constitutional leg is the premise that the federal government has the lawful power to regulate the delivery of health care. The legal leg is the premise that the federal government is obliged to provide health insurance to ...
Comey's Out. Who's Next for Rosenstein? [Hillary?]
Post Date: 2017-05-10 12:52:15 by Tooconservative
If I were Hillary Clinton, I'd be afraid. I'd be very afraid.Something has happened that has drastically changed her position in the world and that is the advent of Rod Rosenstein as deputy attorney general, a name not well known by many until now, although he has had quite an illustrious career at the Department of Justice and elsewhere.Confirmed only April 25, 2017, Rosenstein wrote the well-crafted "Memorandum to the Attorney General" on the subject of "Restoring Public Confidence in the FBI." The contents of this memorandum are what many are assuming impelled Donald Trump to take an action he was hesitant to do, ...
Ann Coulter: Swamp People: 47; Trump: 0
Post Date: 2017-05-03 22:35:45 by cranky
If this is the budget deal we get when Republicans control the House, the Senate and the presidency, theres no point in ever voting for a Republican again. Not only is there no funding for a wall, but thanks to the deft negotiating skills of House Speaker Paul Ryan the bill actually prohibits money from being spent on a wall. At a CYA press conference on Tuesday, Trumps ridiculously chipper budget director, Mick Mulvaney, described the bills prohibition on building a wall as a MAJOR win. (At least Mulvaney said it in English, unlike his all-Spanish 2014 townhall.) True, there will be no wall. But the Democrats graciously agreed to allow the administration ...
Hayward: Who Needs the ‘Resistance’ When You’ve Got the GOP Writing the Budget?
Post Date: 2017-05-01 20:40:33 by cranky
Why does the left bother with Resistance theatrics when the Republican Congress funds their entire wish list anyway? Thats a bit of a trick question because the left still plans to seize more power and money by recapturing Congress and the White House. Theyll never stop attacking the legitimacy of the Trump administration. The only lingering mystery is why so many Republicans think they can counter this strategy by appeasing Democrats. At a cost of hundreds of billions of dollars in other peoples money, Republicans purchase a couple of sound bites that allow them to claim they arent heartless monsters because they funded every left-wing priority, from ...
Major League Baseball's War on PEDs Is Still Petty and Pointless
Post Date: 2017-04-19 21:35:36 by Deckard
With players rolling in NSAIDs and amphetamines, why do androgens still freak people out? Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte was suspended Tuesday after testing positive for the testosterone derivative Nandrolone, an androgenic compound that increases lean body mass and strength, decreases fat mass, and expedites soft tissue repair. Prolonged use also causes left ventricular hypertrophy and high blood pressure, but it's the first set of effects that'll cause Marte to miss 80 games and render him ineligible for postseason play in the event the Pirates make it that far without him. Over at Yahoo!, MLB columnist Jeff Passan argues that Marte's suspension means we should ...
Chelsea Clinton's Cheerleading Cult
Post Date: 2017-04-19 08:56:03 by HomerBohn
How thirsty does Variety look begging readers to join it in doing high V cheerleading moves for Chelsea Clinton? Thirstier than an ultra-marathoner lost in Death Valley in mid-July. Hyping the entertainment magazine's latest cover, Co-Editor-in-Chief Claudia Eller gushed this week, "How cool does Chelsea Clinton look on our Power of Women, NY, cover?" Welcome to the liberal media's manufacturing of "cool." Leather jacket? Check. Overzealous airbrushing? Check. Humanizing grin? Check. Democratic establishment pedigree? Checkity-check-check. This is just the latest attempt by The Media Resistance to make Chelsea Clinton a thing. The same liberal lunatics in ...
Jared Kushner: A Suspected Gangster Within the Trump White House
Post Date: 2017-04-17 14:07:58 by Deckard
Donald Trumps son-in-law Jared Kushner has emerged as a significant influence within the policy-making apparatus of the White House. After a rather public imbroglio with Trumps strategic policy adviser Stephen Bannon over the U.S. cruise missile attack on the Shayrat airbase in Syria, Kushner is «in», as they often say in Washington, and Bannon is «out». In any case, the anti-globalist faction, which is led by Bannon, has received verbal «thumbs down» on several fronts from Trump.Trumps adoption of Clintonesque Democratic Party policies of opposing the Syrian government, confronting Russia, supporting NATO, backing the U.S. Export-Import ...

on your wonderful accomplishment, of an amazingly unprecedented feat. It is hard for anyone to believe, but you did it! You just posted 4 real good authentic news stories in a row. There were no SWAT teams called out and no dogs have been shot. And The Free Thought Project was not sourced once. Wowee! A truly specular accomplishment for you on this record momentous occasion. Deckard, I always knew you had the capability. Atta boy, you have made me truly proud of you. Keep up this excellent work.
Ayn Rand Reconsidered
Post Date: 2017-04-05 08:14:17 by Deckard
Why carry the burden of creating something and then having to stand for it and be proud of it? Why think and imagine and create your own way into the future of your most profound vision? Why bother? And why, therefore, allow others to do so for themselves and cause disordered, disharmonious ripples in the great silent lake of humanity? Pull them down. Make them equal. Make them empty. (The Underground, Jon Rappoport) I wrote the following article five years ago. Since then, Ive had a chance to set down a few more remarks about Ayn Rand. Here they are: The one glaring problem in her work is the overall effect of her hammering mercilessly on behalf of freedom and the ...
Thomas Massie: Trump ‘burning political capital’ with attacks on conservatives
Post Date: 2017-03-31 14:50:43 by Hondo68
Rep. Thomas Massie isnt worried about President Trump coming after him in a primary election over his opposition to the health care bill that sputtered out last week in the House, saying the commander-in-chief is burning political capital by listening to members of the establishment and attacking conservatives that want to help him deliver on his promise to drain the swamp. He can bring Air Force One, Marine One and Amtrak One, it is not going to change what I am going to do, Mr. Massie, Kentucky Republican, said on MSNBCs Morning Joe. My constituents
sent me to D.C. frankly to drain the swamp and we were excited, you know, ...
… GIVE ME A FRIGGIN’ BREAK …
Post Date: 2017-03-31 09:32:28 by Gatlin
I have just finished reading where a blabbering libertarian Freedom Caucus member idiot openly cried like a little baby on the floor of the House because he missed a vote, now has the audacity to compare Trump to a 5th-grade child.
