Many are called, but few chosen

Wednesday, July 15, 2015"For many are called, but few chosen."Matthew 22:14 What did Jesus mean? What was He telling us when He said, "For many are called, but few chosen."? If you, as a Christian man have learned anything from the misuse of "Judge not, that ye may not be judged," Matthew 7:1 and "Lord, behold, here are two swords." And He said unto them, "It is enough". You should have learned that one of the most important keys to understanding Scripture is Context, Context, Context. For looking at "For many are called, but few chosen." all alone is not going to give you context, it is instead going to either leave you ...

Rapture of the Church [Full Thread]

Many people don't believe in the Rapture of the Christian Church, or even know just what the Church is. There are many differing opinions on all phases of the End Times. The only valid opinions come from what we read in the Holy Bible. I will post an article tomorrow that doesn't skimp on references giving chapter and verse. I believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church. More on that tomorrow.

Do You Heap Burning Coals on Your Enemy’s Head?

Taken out of context from the Bible, the question seems rather odd. On face value, heaping burning coals on the head of anyone, friend or foe, see just downright un-Christian. But that is what we read in the Book of Romans 12:20b “… you will heap burning coals on his head.” Indeed, we are encouraged to do this very thing, something that no matter how we look at it, conjures up negative images. The question is, what does this phrase mean? Where does it come from? Before we begin to look at the phrase in detail, let us first look to God so that we set our understanding on the firm foundation of Who and What God is, for the phrase is found in the Holy Bible, which is the very ...

It Is Now Appropriate To Begin Serious Discussions as to Whether Pope Francis is, in fact, The Antichrist.

Always accept gifts that blaspheme our Blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Crucified for Our Sins and the Sins of the World, with a big, shit-eating grin. It’s just good manners. Communism has murdered well over one hundred million people in the last century alone, a massive percentage for being Christian. If one adds the abortions, it is probably closer to a billion souls. Our Blessed Lord and Savior shown crucified on a hammer and sickle is, by all metrics, worse than Our Lord shown crucified on a swastika. This is flat-out blasphemy. And Pope Francis stands there, nods and grins. He should have shaken his head “no”, and very demonstratively physically rejected it, ...

Jimmy Carter Says Jesus Would Approve Of Gay Marriage

Faith is important to former President Jimmy Carter, and he writes about it extensively in his new memoir A Full Life: Reflections at Ninety. But his religious beliefs don't keep him from supporting every American's right to marry the person they love.HuffPost Live's Marc Lamont Hill asked Carter on Tuesday whether he believes Jesus would approve of gay marriage, and Carter said he does."I believe Jesus would. I don't have any verse in scripture. ... I believe Jesus would approve gay marriage, but that's just my own personal belief. I think Jesus would encourage any love affair if it was honest and sincere and was not damaging to anyone else, and I don't see ...

Baylor drops ban on 'homosexual acts'

The world's largest Baptist university has dropped a ban on "homosexual acts" in its sexual conduct policy. After years of appeals from students, alumni and others, Baylor University revised its sexual conduct policy, dropping the ban on gay sex to "state more plainly the expectations of the university," a Baylor spokeswoman said Tuesday. "These changes were made because we didn't believe the language reflected Baylor's caring community," spokeswoman Lori Fogleman said in an email. Baylor's old policy called "homosexual acts" a misuse of "God's gift," along with sexual abuse, sexual harassment, sexual assault, incest ...

Romans chapter 4 is the chapter. Open your Bible, we're going to look at Romans 4 for a little bit tonight. There was a little girl who secretly and quietly had saved up enough money to buy her father a present for Father's Day. But when she had all her money collected, she was very concerned and so she went to her mother and said, “I can't be going down town every month to make payments. Mother, is there a store where they let you pay for the whole thing at once?” That's the kind of question a child would ask. And it is also true that there are religions in the world, in fact all false religions believe that you buy your salvation on some kind of an installment ...

I love actual history. Not the stuff the left makes up, but real, actual history.Anthony Johnson was an Angolan who achieved freedom in the early 17th century Colony of Virginia, where he became one of the first black property owners and slaveholders. Held as an indentured servant in 1621, he earned his freedom after several years, which was accompanied by a grant of land. He later became a successful tobacco farmer. Notably, he is recognized for attaining great wealth after having been an indentured servant and has been referred to as “'the black patriarch' of the first community of Negro property owners in America". Johnson was captured in his native Angola by an enemy ...

Ephraim is a cake not turned. —Hosea 7:8 A cake not turned is uncooked on one side; and so Ephraim was, in many respects, untouched by divine grace: though there was some partial obedience, there was very much rebellion left. My soul, I charge thee, see whether this be thy case. Art thou thorough in the things of God? Has grace gone through the very centre of thy being so as to be felt in its divine operations in all thy powers, thy actions, thy words, and thy thoughts? To be sanctified, spirit, soul, and body, should be thine aim and prayer; and although sanctification may not be perfect in thee anywhere in degree, yet it must be universal in its action; there must not be the ...

POPE FRANCIS IS ON AN UNSTOPPABLE COLLISION COURSE WITH PROPHETIC DESTINY “And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.” Revelation 16:13 (KJV) Radio talk show host Michael Savage must be a regular reader of NTEB, because we’ve been saying this from the moment Pope Francis was elected to rule the Vatican corporation. "Help, Lord." — Psalm 12:1 The prayer itself is remarkable, for it is short, but seasonable, sententious, and suggestive. David mourned the fewness of faithful men, and therefore lifted up his heart in supplication-when the creature failed, he flew to the Creator. He evidently felt his own weakness, or he would not have cried for help; but at the same time he intended honestly to exert himself for the cause of truth, for the word "help" is inapplicable where we ourselves do nothing. There is much of directness, clearness of perception, and distinctness of utterance in this petition of two words; much more, indeed, than in the long rambling outpourings of ...

"The Lord hath done great things for us, whereof we are glad." — Psalm 126:3 Some Christians are sadly prone to look on the dark side of everything, and to dwell more upon what they have gone through than upon what God has done for them. Ask for their impression of the Christian life, and they will describe their continual conflicts, their deep afflictions, their sad adversities, and the sinfulness of their hearts, yet with scarcely any allusion to the mercy and help which God has vouchsafed them. But a Christian whose soul is in a healthy state, will come forward joyously, and say, "I will speak, not about myself, but to the honour of my God. He hath brought ...

Biblical Name Eshbaal Found Outside of the Bible

The Biblical name Eshbaal has been found for the first time in an ancient inscription. Incised before firing on a 3,000-year-old pithos (large ceramic storage jar), the inscription was discovered at the site of Khirbet Qeiyafa in Israel. Researchers Yosef Garfinkel, Mitka R. Golub, Haggai Misgav and Saar Ganor have published their study of this inscription in a forthcoming issue of the journal Bulletin of the American Schools of Oriental Research (BASOR). The Eshbaal inscription reads “[ ] | ¾šb¿l | ùbnú | bd¿” (“¾Išba¿al son of Beda¿”) and was written from right to left in the Canaanite alphabetic script. The name ¾šb¿l, commonly translated as ¾Išba¿al (or Esh-Ba¿al—“man of Ba¿al”), is ...

4 Examples of Jesus Christ’s Libertarianism

June 2, 2015—It seems pretty much every day there’s a story in the news about the government’s (the state’s) “War on Christianity.” No matter how one chooses to define this war or to what degree it is being executed, the truth is that it’s the nature of the violent, predatory state to wage a war of-sorts on pretty much anyone who is not a friend, family member, or supporter of the leadership of the state. But as for the War on Christianity, the first thing a Christian can do is “know thy enemy.” And the Christian can look to Jesus’s very own libertarian-leaning perspective regarding the political authority of the state. Jesus was all about ...

When anyone says that Barack Hussein Obama doesn’t know what he’s doing, they just don’t understand the agenda. He belongs to the progressive left and is the puppet of George Soros. He played it just as he was told during his first term. He even upheld traditional marriage back then, but do you see that was the plan? He couldn’t show his cards. He was on his first term, and had much to accomplish during his second. Oh, he knew that he would win. You can take that to the bank. Do you remember that Romney was about 9 points ahead two weeks before the election? It was rigged. The Dems have no morals nor do they have ethics. Whatever it takes to get the job done. Saul ...

Five years ago, two Marines from two different walks of life who had literally just met were told to stand guard in front of their outpost's entry control point. Minutes later, they were staring down a big blue truck packed with explosives. With this particular shred of hell bearing down on them, they stood their ground. Heck, they even leaned in. I had heard the story many times, personally. But until today I had never heard Marine Lt. Gen. John Kelly's telling of it to a packed house in 2010. Just four days following the death of his own son in combat, Kelly eulogized two other sons in an unforgettable manner.  From Kelly's speech: Two years ago when I was the ...

Could an alien deception be part of the end times?
Post Date: 2015-05-17 15:07:25 by Orwellian Nightmare

Answer: We know that the events surrounding the end times, as described in the Bible, will include a powerful deception (Matthew 24:24). Recently, interest has been rising in the theory that this deception will include alien beings from another planet. Odd as it may seem, this theory is entirely plausible from a Christian perspective. Although the Bible gives us no word about whether or not aliens exist—there is no inclusion of them in the creation account in Genesis, and no mention of them elsewhere—the Bible does tell us about visitors from another world—the spiritual world. Since the beginning, instances of demons (fallen angels) visiting the earth have been witnessed ...

Question: A friend of mine has been reading the Left Behind books that have all of this stuff about the “Rapture” in them. Is there really going to be a “Rapture” like these books talk about? Answer: No.The “Rapture” refers to a passage in First Thessalonians 4, where Christians are “caught up” in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” Many Christians believe, and the Left Behind books promote, that this being “caught up” to meet the Lord will occur before the Great Tribulation sometime in the near future. Christians will simply vanish, meet Jesus somewhere in the air, and then return with Him to Heaven to await the end of time. ...

The United States is moving toward “criminalization of Christianity” as a result of legalizing same-sex marriage, Mike Huckabee told a group of conservative pastors in a conference call organized by the Family Research Council. “I think it’s fair to say that Christian convictions are under attack as never before,” Huckabee said Thursday, according to audio of the call obtained by Right Wing Watch, a project of the progressive advocacy group People for the American Way. “Not just in our lifetime, but ever before in the history of this great nation. We are moving rapidly toward the criminalization of Christianity.” The former governor of Arkansas, who is ...
