My pastors dont believe Genesis. Should I leave my church? Published: 15 November 2014 (GMT+10) We received the following question from a supporter in Australia who was surprised to discover the pastors of his church did not believe Genesis. Tas Walker talks about some of the issues that need to be considered. "Hi guys, I love your work, and have subscribed to the magazine and am continually encouraged by what you guys publish". "I have a question. Im at a church which Ive attended for the last 12 years (Im now 30). Ive since realized that none of the 3 pastors take a straightforward reading of Genesis, and at least 2 of the 3 (havent ...

Texas Pastor Issues Warning: American Christians Will Suffer Greatly in Coming Persecution Post Date: 2014-10-27 21:10:54 by A K A Stone

Well-known evangelical pastor Paul Washer says persecution will come to the American church. And soon. He believes that in the near future the American church will be so ridiculed that anything to do with real biblical Christianity will get you in trouble with the state. Americans are already experiencing this kind of persecution as liberals, homosexuals, and New-Agers try and stomp out real Christianity. Watch Walshs warning and see if you agree
Do People Live Longer among Trees? Post Date: 2014-10-27 00:11:40 by A K A Stone

Could living near trees possibly affect human health? Increasingly, studies indicate that trees can improve human health. Evolution doesn't expect this, but biblically speaking, trees and people have close ties. New research included steps to demonstrate that living longer was not linked to living among trees, but instead linked to more sensible factors "like income, race, and education," according to the Pacific Northwest Research Station of the U.S. Forest Service based in Portland.1 But the researchers found that cardiovascular health clearly declined in people from very different ethnic, income, and educational backgrounds in the absence of trees. Geoffrey Donovan of the ...

Jwpegler fancies him a minister these days. Regularly mocking "fundies" which just means christians. So LP's circus clown had the ignorance/stupidity to post It is. After all, it's nothing but what the Lord taught the Apostles. Jesus's specific quotes on homosexuality: .. he doesn't mention it. As I've said many times, fundamentalists who run around screaming and hollering about gays are more like Old Testament Jews than New Testament Christians. But their self-righteous anger is very selective and quite incomplete... jwpegler posted on 2014-10-22 3:56:21 ET (1 image) Reply Trace He gets so much wrong. Ok lets ...

In Rome, a document recently found has an eyewitness account of Jesus performing a miracle. An Italian professional was examining the paper written in the first century by the Roman historian Marcus Paterculus. It has only been recently found inside the annals of the Vatican and on it there was written what appears to be the very first eyewitness account ever documented of one of the miracles performed by Jesus. The author told of a scene that he supposedly observed, in which a prophet who he named Isous de Nazarenus, revived a baby who had been stillborn and gave him back to his mother.
Historian Ignazio Perrucci was employed by authorities of the Vatican in 2012 to go through and ...
Chapter 25 What about Satan and the Origin of Evil? Post Date: 2014-10-13 22:30:56 by A K A Stone

Who Is Satan and Was He Always Called Satan? The first use of the name Satan is found in 1 Chronicles 21:1; chronologically, Job, which was written much earlier, surpasses this. Satan is found throughout Job 1 and 2. Satan literally means adversary in Hebrew. Another name appears in the Old Testament in the King James Version: How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (Isaiah 14:12; KJV). This is the only passage that uses the name Lucifer to refer to Satan. This name doesnt come from Hebrew but Latin. Perhaps this translation into English was influenced by the Latin Vulgate, ...

Question: "What did Jesus mean when He said 'I am the way and the truth and the life' (John 14:6)?" Answer: I am the way and the truth and the life is one of the seven I Am statements of Jesus. On the last night before His betrayal and death, Jesus was preparing His disciples for the days ahead. For over three years, these men had been following Jesus and learning from His teaching and example. They had placed their hopes in Him as the Messiah, the promised deliverer, yet they still didn't understand how He was going to accomplish that deliverance. After the Last Supper, Jesus began speaking about His departure, which led to questions from His ...

What John Quincy Adams Said About Immigration Will Blow Your Mind John Quincy Adams: 'Emigrants from Germany or from elsewhere, coming here, are not to expect favors from the governments.' August 18, 2014 By D.C. McAllister We often hear about the glory days of immigration when America threw open her arms to the huddled masses, but one thing you dont hear about is how those people had to make it on their own without a government safety net. There was plenty of private charity, which was highly encouraged, but health care, a minimum-wage job, college entrance, housing, legal representation, and education certainly werent promisednot like today. In 1819, ...

With the EXPONENTIAL growth in technology and media Satan is more powerful than ever in peddling his godless demonic kool-aid (John 8:44, Eph. 2:1, 6:12, 1 Peter 5:18) and mankind is more sold out today then ever to do lawlessness and to hear his voice. Thank God that there are some websites and bloggers out there who give great political insight and news commentary of the day, and they also always include Almighty God's ETERNAL gospel message of hope in our nation's darkened hour such as World Net Daily and the American Clarion and their writers. There was a time when things could be turned around here in America, but those days are long gone and since Barack Obama's election ...

Israels Future pt 6 Posted on August 3, 2014 by billrandles And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. Genesis 12:1 - 3 Post Date: 2014-01-27 23:55:51 by Don

Since we have anti-Semites posting here, I thought it would be good to give them a warning from God. God told Abraham that He would make him a great nation and bless those who bless him. God also said that He would curse anyone who curses Israel. That is a very severe warning. If God curses someone, I cannot imagine a worse fate for that person. Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy fathers house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him ...

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when ...

My, how far we’ve come || In ancient Israel, women did all the work Post Date: 2013-12-18 21:47:35 by buckeroo

How did the people of the ancient Levant really live? For women, it was grinding on their haunches. The term signs and wonders appears in the Bible 19 times, but these are the works of the Almighty. The daily grind was the province of humans. When it came to transforming raw materials into food, clothing and shelter there are references going back to the story of Adam and Eve, that this was man's work. Or rather, according to the Bible and ancient rabbinic sources, womens work. The Talmudic tractate Yebamoth outs it: If a man brings home wheat, does he chew the wheat? If flax, does he wear it raw? References in ancient sources to women's hard labor ...
Archaeologists Unearth 3,700-Year-Old Wine Cellar in Israel Post Date: 2013-12-18 21:25:29 by buckeroo

Archaeologists digging at the archaeological site of Tel Kabri, near Nahariya in northern Israel, have discovered what they believe is the oldest and largest wine cellar in the Near East. The cellar was unearthed in the ruined palace of the rulers of Tel Kabri, the capital of a Middle Bronze Age Canaanite kingdom (1,700 BC). As archaeologists excavated in the palace, they uncovered a 3-foot-long jug, later dubbed Bessie. We dug and dug, and all of a sudden, Bessies friends started appearing five, 10, 15, ultimately 40 jars packed in a 15-by-25-foot storage room. This is a hugely significant discovery its a wine cellar that, to our knowledge, is largely ...

Lifestyles of ancient Israel's rich and famous In biblical times, what did the haves have? Space and toilets, to name two amenities, say archaeologists. And hairdos. The city of Caesarea has been in the news recently, for the lavish lifestyle of certain contemporary residents. Yet the people of the seaside city also seem to have lived high on the hog in ancient history. Archaeologists have found surprisingly detailed records of sumptuous eating, drinking, dressing and housing customs of the wealthy though it seems women only got to partake of the luxury within the home. Rich then was like rich now a matter of means. In a discussion on who is rich in the ...

Since October 1963, when archaeological excavations were carried out at Herods ancient mountain fortress at Masada under the direction of Yigael Yadin, the desert site has gripped the world's imagination. The primary ancient source of information about Masada is Romano-Jewish scholar Flavius Josephus, whose writings most modern researchers view as relatively reliable. Then again, they dont have another, better source. Masada some 100 kilometers south of Jerusalem played a role in the Jewish revolt against the Roman Empire during the period 66 C.E.-73 C.E. The Roman army crushed the rebellion and Masada appears to have been the scene of the final tragic ...
