Andrew Napolitano predicts this isn’t going to work out the way they’re hoping.

Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano has a warning for Republican lawmakers who are sticking with President Donald Trump, even after he raided military funds to build his border wall.

They might be cheering for him now, but they could end up “weeping” later, he said.

The Constitution gives spending powers to Congress, not the president, part of the “separation of powers that Madison crafted as a bulwark against tyranny,” Napolitano said. In this case, Congress “expressly declined to give him that money,” and Trump signed the bill that denied him the cash for his wall.

Then, Trump took the money anyway, using emergency powers that Napolitano noted may have been passed into law by previous Congresses, yet are not in the Constitution.

In a video on Fox News, Napolitano said Trump has also essentially created his own sales tax ― again, a power that is supposed to belong to Congress ― in the form of his tariffs on Chinese goods, likewise done in the name of a supposed emergency. He summed it up in his column:

After years of faithless Congresses legally but unconstitutionally ceding power to the presidency, we have arrived where we are today ― a president who spends unappropriated funds, raises taxes, defies courts and changes immigration laws on his own.

Napolitano warned that the same Republicans who are cheering as Trump uses these unconstitutional powers “will weep over it when a Democrat is in the White House.”

In his video presentation, Napolitano called it “dangerous to our liberty” to let the president take the powers that belong to Congress.

“When Congress lets presidents write their own laws, then he’s not a president,” Napolitano said. “He’s a prince.”

After years of faithless Congresses legally but unconstitutionally ceding power to the presidency, we have arrived where we are today ― a president who spends unappropriated funds, raises taxes, defies courts and changes immigration laws on his own.

That's a very accurate description of 0bama and how he implemented his BammyCare program.

It describes 0bama far more accurately than the pittance Trump has used to try to build The Wall.

In a video on Fox News, Napolitano said Trump has also essentially created his own sales tax ― again, a power that is supposed to belong to Congress ― in the form of his tariffs on Chinese goods, likewise done in the name of a supposed emergency. He summed it up in his column:

And this is just plain ignorant, even for an ex-judge from Joisey.

Trump did not arrogate any powers to himself on tariffs. Congress granted the president these powers and Trump exercised them lawfully.

Napolitano really went off the deep end a few years ago. He's going senile or someone is blackmailing him. Fox News gives him a few limited slots because someone has to play nice for Shep Smith's liberal homo narratives on his afternoon comedy news program.

Napolitano did get pulled off the official FNC roster a few years ago over his blarney about Trump and wiretapping.

I was in hopes someone would make a comment of his nature before I said anything. Thank you for doing hat.

I don’t know what happened to him. I used to listen to his comments and I respected his opinion. I will not listen to him anymore.

You did of course notice that I made no snide comment about him being a libertarian, didn’t you?

Hand Salute,

Well, maybe a self-styled libertarian, back when all the Cool Kids were saying they were libertarian without knowing what it meant. I thought that even you would likely understand that not everyone who calls themselves a Christian is a Christian, that calls themselves a conservative is a conservative, or that call themselves a libertarian actually is a libertarian known and respected by other libertarians. I never heard Napolitano make a truly libertarian statement, one of those that the rest of us would recognize immediately. We have no such problems recognizing Ron or Rand as libertarians because of what they say and how they say it.

After all, a nutjob can call themselves anything they want.

People like Rand and Ron may have liked the judge but they never backed his nuttier opinions. Neither did FNC. However, since I know you're always eager for any new photos of America's sweetheart, Ron Paul, here is a photo of Da Judge with RP in the background wearing his "who does he think he's fooling" smile as Nappy mugs for the camera with Ron's daughter, Lori.

I've suspected for some time that Napolitano resigned as a NJ judge before he got removed from the bench for lacking judicial temperament or some gross legal error that would have disqualified him. He's certainly floated a lot of pet legal theories on FNC over the years that are very flaky which is why he lost his FNC Saturday night show.

He's got a big mouth and he makes reckless statements on a regular basis. That is not judicial temperament and no one would want him on the bench.

Wiki has a few interesting tidbits:

Napolitano is a vegetarian.[41]

Napolitano's longtime friend, James C. Sheil, died on March 19, 2013.[42

And his "longtime friend" died right around the time that Napolitano started to get into hot water for his more extreme opinions. Nappy is never seen in the company of a woman, on a romantic date with a woman and certainly was never married (to a woman). Then Nappy included this little eulogy passage in his new book:

Later, in the acknowledgments section of the book, Napolitano expressed his heartfelt condolence to James as, “... my happy dreams turned dark last year when Jim Sheil, my alter ego to whose memory this book is dedicated, died suddenly on March 19th, 2013, as we were working on this book. Jim and I shared much of our lives with each other. Among that which we shared was a love of the printed word. Yet our philosophies and politics were like oil and water.”

Gay much, judge?

With his pouffy hairdo, he looks like a print ad for Oil of Olay.

Maybe Shep Smith can be Nappy's new "longtime friend". Well, if pervy Shep can keep his hands off his 20-something producer long enough. Either way, Nappy is only a regular on Shep's show with very rare appearances on FNC's primetime shows. And all this is a direct result of Nappy's big mouth and flakiness.

If the Gay Agenda is the Dem agenda, then Napolitano and Shep Smith fit right into the NYC gay scene, right along with Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon of CNN. I'm not sure why the Gay Mafia is so popular with those who control the promotions at these companies. You can't justify it, given the demographics of viewers that you need to capture to be a top cable news channel.
