I apologize for being so critical. I respect your right to be fascinated with whatever best holds your interest. No, I could not stomach the Kennedy retard. I started to, but ... Edit: I wish Trump would have picked another night for his STOU address. He and the commentators afterwards wiped out four of my favorite shows this evening.
I was disappointed. I was hoping he would stroll in with McCabe wearing a dog collar, on a leash.
Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention but did any Dims actually show up with illegal aliens in tow? They were supposed to but I don't recall any being there. That AZ congressman sent letters, demanding that they be arrested if they attempted to enter the Capitol. Maybe he shook them up.

This one is different, because Trump is different. He said in the campaign what he was going to do, and he has been going through that list DOING IT, against the resistance of Dems, of course, but also against the resistance of Republicans. The Republicans were standing there shocked that this guy most of them hated delivered on the economy, on trade, on Jerusalem, on deregulation, on taxes. He actually did, or kept the momentum going forward, on everything he said. Nobody in anybody's lifetimes has done anything like that. JFK started to - but then was dead. FDR did, but he and his generation have passed into history. Trump is really DOING IT. Trump antagonizes people for a different reason than others. With Trump it's not just rhetoric. The things he articulates are what he thinks, and that's really bad news for people in his crosshairs. More and more of them are coming over to his side, too. Paul Ryan, for example. You can see by the way they have started to work together more and more, that he has come to realize that Trump is the real deal, and the more he works with Trump, the more he gets. Consider Trump's comment about foreign aid last night. He's going to cut off the countries that resist us politically. Cut them off! Now, sure, Germany and the UK and others will step up with their own funding. GOOD! Deplete THEIR coffers, let THEM compromise THEMSELVES. Keep OUR dollars for us and our allies - and if you're voting against us at the UN on something key, you ain't our ally. We don't need any of those shithole pissant countries a tenth as much as they need us. We've been timid before "O what will be dooooo." Answer? Cut them off, them them starve, and prevent them from immigrating to the US. In other words, shut up, get in line, obey and you get money. Fight us, and go fuck yourselves and die in a whole. Trump's successes have been too strong to overcome with trumped-up law. The law itself, and the lines of political power, are shifting around him, in his favor. Lady Lindsey sat there last night with a cautious grin on his face, the look of a guy who backed the wrong horse the look of a guy who sees his party winning and loves it, but who got on the wrong side of the change and knows it. They all know it. THIS State of the Union speech was different. Trump is going to DO all of that stuff. And in doing it, he is going to make an economic more powerful than Reagan ever did (because this will be based on industrial growth, not military spending and debt. Trump will be untouchable. The TRUMP Republicans will surge, but the Lady Lindsay Republicans will wither away. It's High Noon in America, and this sheriff is gonna shoot down all the bad guys. And that's great. Hell, if he keeps going like he does - the silverback gorilla in a china shop (TM) - I, even I, might find myself voting Republican and saying nice things about Republicans. I don't have one bad thing to say about Trump. He is already the greatest economic President of my lifetime. He has ALREADY been a more effective military President than any that have come before him in my lifetime: we destroyed the ISIS state in a year - it's gone. Israel's capital is Jerusalem. It's settled. He's ALREADY deregulated more than Reagan did. He's ALREADY cut illegal immigration by 71%. The best is yet to come. Trump. Trump! TRUUUUUUMP!!!

But overall Trump did well, and I think the boorish and irrational reactions/responses from the democrats will, in time, make it better received than most of his speeches.. Yeah, I've never much like using those "heroes" as emotional props. But in certain cases they are necessary and effective. I concur on your characterization and prediction that the Dems will wind up looking like petty idiots with their inevitable boorish, irrational responses. The positive results of Trump's policies are tangible and actually felt. Unlike 0bama's negativity and nebulous "accomplishments" based on tribalist rewards/punishments.
I think the Dims were unhappy in part because the vast majority of people will be seeing the tax cut in their paychecks starting tomorrow. Some whose companies were better organized or connected started doing their payrolls with the new tax tables about 10 days ago. Initial reporting was people seeing an extra $50-$100, some a good bit more. Some people had been told to expect their health insurance to go up $100 per paycheck and it rose only $20. Anyway, the Dems threw down on the tax cuts, calling it "crumbs", etc. And every Dim voted against it. So now there will be an abrupt collision of the Dems with some cold hard truths with the voters. And their Russia-Russia-Russia narrative is falling to pieces.
For some reason the Dems still believe even drooling idiots named "Kennedy" is political magic. Here is the last man on earth -- a Kennedy no doubt -- pondering over the results of the Dems' "Final Solution," and where it all went wrong:
