(A video of the little pansy is at the link)

Fox News host Shepard Smith said Wednesday that the network tried and failed to get a Republican on-air to defend President Trump's controversial comments on violence in Charlottesville, Va., over the weekend

"Our booking team — and they're good — reached out to Republicans of all stripes across the country today," Smith said on his show "Shepard Smith Reporting."

"Let's be honest, Republicans don't often really mind coming on Fox News Channel. We couldn't get anyone to come and defend him here because we thought, in balance, someone should do that," he continued.

"We worked very hard at it throughout the day, and we were unsuccessful. And of those who are condemning the president's condemnable actions, I've not heard any prominent leaders, former presidents, members of the House or the Senate use his name while speaking in generalities," he said.

Smith's comments followed an off-the-rails press conference by Trump on Tuesday, during which he reasserted claims that "both sides" were to blame for violence during a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville on Saturday that ultimately left one dead and at least 19 others injured.

“You had a lot of people in that group that were there to innocently protest and very legally protest," Trump said, referring to individuals protesting against the removal of a Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee statue in the town.

“Not all of those people were white supremacists, by any stretch."

Various Republicans have spoken out against white supremacy and bigotry following Trump's press briefing.

“We must be clear. White supremacy is repulsive. This bigotry is counter to all this country stands for. There can be no moral ambiguity,” House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) tweeted after Trump's remarks.

Former Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush issued a joint statement on Wednesday saying the U.S. must reject hatred in all forms. Tags Paul Ryan

Poster Comment:

The Republicrats are as bankrupted as are the Democrats. Only two Republicans in the House and one in the Senate has a perfect record of supporting the Constitution and living up to their oath of office.

Trump is right.

The Republicans, on the other hand, and merely demonstrating yet again that they are the filthy shitstains that I have long said they are: "Fox's Shep Smith: We couldn't find a Republican willing to come on and defend Trump"

I detest all Democrats who are nothing but communists under a different name! However, I have nothing but contempt for the damned Republicrats who are nothing but weasels who suck around their Democrat allies.

Incidentally, Shep (the dog) Smith is nothing but a smarmy homosexual socialist asshole.

Liberals are like Slinkys. They're good for nothing, but somehow they bring a smile to your face as you shove them down the stairs.

Gee,I wonder if that invitation being today's equivalent of the old "Do you still beat your wife?" question of years ago might have had something to do with it?

In the entire history of the world, the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.

America's state of affairs today being lousy, the blame lies at the feet of the moderates (they stand for nothing) and the entire left spectrum.

I'm glad I'm a far right thinking American and it's due to the fact that I've lived as long as I have and understand what our history has meant to today's pitiful situation.

Having said that, I'm 'all in' as the poker players say, with Donald J. Trump! Having a White Supremacy gathering is as important as the Congress having a Black Caucus and taking to the streets to maim, destroy and loot under the banner of 'Black Lives Matter', having a Miss Black America, a black cable network, and on and on and on.

Then we have the matter of the rights of pedophiles, homosexuals and other assorted types who soil and destroy the fabric of a once decent America.

Liberals are like Slinkys. They're good for nothing, but somehow they bring a smile to your face as you shove them down the stairs.

I reject the blame utterly. I am a moderate, and I stand for a LOT of things, and I stand against a lot of things.

Two examples: (1) I stand against abortion on demand because it's murder, BUT I recognize that if you're going to strike that out of the law, then you have to be prepared, in parallel, for a very large expansion of the social welfare state to provide for the millions of new poor babies that we will most certainly have if we really do strike down Roe. And I stand against everybody who pretends otherwise.

(2) I oppose both socialism AND Reaganomics. Neither works. Regulated market capitalism with social support is the best mix. Purist socialism impoverishes everyone, Reaganomics impoverishes the bottom 75%. Neither is good enough.

The country is in the shitter because foolish ideas from the far Left and the far Right have been allowed to leave the asylum and take over the government.

I stand for plenty - most of it opposed to the two lunatic fringes who are big of mouth and small of common sense.

Big difference.

The moderate 'Republicrats' in Congress, with the exception of two senators and one representative, vote to uphold the Constitution 100% of the time. A national disgrace!

Moderates in Congress are those weasels who vote on average about 50% of the time to uphold the Constitution. Believe me, the problem NEVER rests with those who are Conservative 100% of the time, it's dupes like you who allow that 50% to join with the communist pansies whom we've allowed to rule and ruin our lives and country.

Romney is a 'moderate' as were Bushes I and II. Toss McCain in there as well. Nice company.

Liberals are like Slinkys. They're good for nothing, but somehow they bring a smile to your face as you shove them down the stairs.

Quoted because this explanation of the fairness that everybody is screaming about should be pointed out more often.

Republicans in Congress are not moderates. They are the paid agents of the super rich. The only legislative agenda they EVER stand for, going back decades, are low (or no) taxes on the rich, no regulations on the industries owned by rich donors (but regulatory barriers to entry of competition raised on behalf of big donors), and heavy military and other government contracting (with donor-owned businesses).

That is what the actual Republican Party in Congress DOES: influence peddling and operating as paid agents of a wealthy elite.

Rank and file Republicans like you are the dupes, really believing that the Republican party gives a shit about the causes you care about (they only do if it's of interest to their rich donors, and then only so far as it is) or work towards it.

It wasn't people like ME who stopped your Republicans from repealing and replacing Obamacare. They did not want to do it, so they didn't. Four campaign cycles and dozens of "attempts" - when they had no chance of passing it - gave them the APPEARANCE of being your champion, but when they really have the power, they don't do it because they never intended to.

You blame me for it in your frustration, because you refuse to see that the people you have given such devotion to are the ones who have betrayed you.

I've betrayed nothing. I've always said where I stand, on every major issue, and why, and if I had power, that's what I would impose - to the extent I could (using the full power of the office I had to its maximal extent). Democrats behave that way with power, and that is certainly how I would behave in order to enact MY agenda.

Well, Republicans have all of the power now. And they ARE enacting their agenda. It's just not the agenda they TOLD YOU was their agenda in order to get your vote for all these years. You call me a dupe. Nope, you're the dupe. You REALLY BELIEVED these guys, and voted for them, and still defend them.

My agenda has always been out in the open, but I have no party. The Democrats are right on some issues, but they don't represent me - and actively oppose me - on many others. The Republicans aren't right on anything. Sure, they TALK a good game, but what they actually DO is what they really ARE, and there is not one thing that they actually ARE that is any good.

So I'm left with no party.

You are too, but you're a dupe who still hasn't learned that the Republicans are in no sense at all your friends. In fact, they are really malicious. They have USED you, and still are USING you. They will never give you a thing you want.

I am honest with you and can compromise with you on many things, and won't compromise with you on some things. I am open and clear and consistent.

So are the Democrats, to their credit (though there is nothing there that you want).

The REPUBLICANS promise you the moon and stars, they campaign on giving you everything you want, on being "Your men", but they fuck you in the ass on EVERY SINGLE THING, EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Care about abortion? They "care" too...to the point of getting your vote talking about it every election. But they DO nothing, because they never intended to. What they INTENDED was to blow sunshine up your ass, get your vote, and then go on making money representing the rich elite. It works too, every time, which is why they keep doing it.

Care about the border? So do they - at election time. But they DO nothing, because they never INTENDED to do anything. What they INTENDED was to blow sunshine up your ass, get your vote, and then go on making money representing the rich elite. It works too, every time, which is why they keep doing it.

Care about crazy gay issues oppression? So do they - at election time. But they DO nothing when elected, because they never INTENDED to. What they intended was to blow sunshine up your ass, piss you off, get your emotional vote, and then go back to stockjobbing for the rich.

Name your issue - that's what Republicans do. Now, they always talk sweet to you, and assure you that they are 100% with you on everything. That's why you like them. But they always screw you and give you 0%.

You despise ME because I tell you up front that I do not agree on certain key things, and that I will not give you what you want, but that I will negotiate to some sort of reasonable position, where I can. And that you'll need to go get more allies to overpower me politically where I can't compromise.

You don't want any sort of compromise. You'd probably get 66% of what you want from negotiations with people like me, and have to accept 34% of things that you don't want as part of the deal.

Democrats will give you maybe 5% of what you want.

Republicans PROMISE you 100%, but they give you zero.

Now, reality is, I am not a party. There is no party that represents me. Currently there are two parties that don't.

But reality is, there is no party that represents you either. You've just been duped into thinking the Republicans do, because of what they say during the campaign season. But words are wind. They never DO any of it.

You can say that there is no problem with those who "uphold the Constitution" (as you see it) 100% of the time. There are perhaps three members of Congress who do that. So in truth you have no party representing you either.

Because of the huge money interests behind the GOP, the GOP is not reformable. Republican politicians are corrupt. They have been bought off with money. They are the kind of men whose beliefs CAN be bought with money, and so they have been. In fact, that's WHY they chose to become Republican politicians in the first place. They will never "come around" on any ideological grounds, because they are corrupt men - their ideology is to support the highest bidder. And we in the middle class will never have the money to compete with the super rich. Which means that there is absolutely no hope of ever reforming the Republican Party. The peasants - that's us - CANNOT engineer a hostile takeover of the country club.

I said that back when the Tea Party was charging ahead, and I was right. We are years and election cycles down the road, and the Party is still completely in the control of the grandee donors. It always will be. The conservative Pickett's launched their Tea Party charge, and were shot down at the stone wall. The Party is still COMPLETELY controlled by the Ryans and McConnells, any sort of middle class constitutionalist control is as far away as ever.

The GOP cannot be reformed. It SHOULD be abandoned, by people like you, to form a new party with people like me.

But truth is, you hate me because I will not compromise on the 34% of my own fixed believes on which I will not compromise. You think I am the problem, so you will stay a peasant in the GOP ranks, abused and ignored, and you will blame the dysfunction of your political masters on me, because I won't compromise on my core beliefs.

This is why, over time, the Democratic Left wins. They keep ranks, keep discipline, and use power, whenever they get it, to enact as much of their agenda as they can. And then when they lose elections, they keep ranks, keep discipline, and defend to the death, using the courts and local officials and government employees, every aspect of their policy. They DELAY change until the Republicans once again fail, betray the right wing electorate, and lose an election on low turnout. Then the Democrats win and step in and advance their agenda again. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

That is why Democrats are effective and Republicans are not. And given your refusal to wake up and form a coalition with people like me - to talk through exactly what our interests are, and understand very well that you will never get 100% of what YOU believe the Constitution to be from me, because I DON'T AGREE, and I think that a good 34% of what you believe to be the Constitution is contrary to the Constitution and contrary to common sense.

We have plenty of common ground, and I am willing to build on that. But you are like the Left - totalitarian. UNLIKE the Left, you have no party that agrees with you and advances your interests. The Republicans are also totalitarian: they are TOTALLY, 100%, in the pockets of the super rich corporate elite, and they NEVER advance ANYTHING that their paymasters don't want, but always advance what their paymasters want.

You prefer to believe that corrupt bought men who blow sunshine up your ass about the Constitution are your friends, and people who take a principled stance about our OWN beliefs regarding the Constitution are your enemies. So, you FOLLOW people who give you 0% - the Republicans. You hate the people who agree with you on 60% - people like me - and vilify us and won't form a coalition with us. And you end up RULED by the people who give you 5% - the Democrats.

That's why our country is the way it is. You are suicidally stubborn and would rather have 5% than 60%, because you won't back down on 100% - and you duped by Republicans who tell you you don't have to compromise on anything, but who then give you nothing. And you're enraged about it.

Meanwhile, you perceive - correctly - that I am less alarmed and outraged than you are, because the Democrats actually give me about 40%. I'd prefer the 66% that could be gotten from a coalition of reasonable people, but nobody's reasonable.

So I don't vote for Democrats, and I call them babykillers (because they are), but I am nowhere near as distressed as you are, because I do get quite a bit out of the Democrats that I agree with.

THEY won't compromise with me on things that I won't compromise on. But they agree with me on other things.

You will compromise on zero, so you get 5%. I am not represented by either part, but I get 40%.

Obviously, then, I can live with the status quo, even though I'd like better. You can't, but you're too stubborn to understand that you are a small minority that cannot win. You have allies, and people like me can be your allies, but we are not going to let you RULE, because you are not the majority and don't have the power. You NEED me more than I need you. But you guys just insult me and people like me all the time.

So I will end up with 40%, and mildly discontented. And you'll end up with nothing, and enraged. You fucked yourself because you refused to deal with me, and so got Democrats instead.

That's they way the world REALLY works. You all would do very well to grow up and work with me and mine, because you can get more than you have if you do.

Instead you stamp your feet and get nothing, which is what you deserve because you behave like that. The Republicans just molest you.

The case for a legitimate Conservative third party is being made daily.

A third party that espouses taking a meat axe to the central socialist colossus and drastically lowering corporate taxes as well as using ONE low rate for ALL taxpayers would suck voters from the Democrat Communist Party and the Republicrat Party in sufficient numbers to win a three-way election.

Liberals are like Slinkys. They're good for nothing, but somehow they bring a smile to your face as you shove them down the stairs.
