Dump blames a gas attack in Syria on Obama, pointing to ineffectual action. But where is his action? he has a mandate under UN resolutions to move now that gas attacks have taken place, it doesn't matter who did it, blame is not the answer, these weapons are banned, so there should be an immediate move into Syria, to stop this fighting and rout out and destroy these weapons. Should a few rebels or Assad supporters get killed in the process this is no worse than what has been taking place for six years.

If Dump does less than Obama he will be judged, so less big mouth and twitter and more action, what does it take to get troops on the ground and an end to this conflict. in this I am not just calling for US action, but world action. We need more than speeches deploring gas attacks.

They can assign blame later, action now.

We don't take orders from the UN, they can pi$$ off! Let Assad and the Syrian Army handle it, and Russia too if they like since they're invited to be there.

The USA is NOT invited by the Syrian Government to be there, so let's get the hell out, and let them do their job finishing off ISIS!

So what you are saying is Dump should not follow up on the Obama initiative and ultimatum when the "Red Line" is crossed?

I don't expect the US to go it alone, and said as much, but as a citizen of this world I am appalled that evil is allowed to exist and thumb its nose at the rest of us in Syria at the expense of Syrian children.

Tell you what, when they use sarin gas in the US, I will remember your words and be as indifferent as you are. I'll bet GWB wouldn't have been indifferent, he would have seen this as the threat it is. Nerve gas is a WMD and if the US could take out Iraq on the suspicion of it, it could sure take out Syria on the reality of it

It seems I'm not alone in asking why isn't the world listening?

Look i know we are sick of this Muslim terrorist thing and think they should sort it out for themselves, but with modern weapons a civilian population cannot overcome the military, if Syria has shown us anything it has shown us that. So, the way this plays out is the world either takes responsibilty, or there will be ongoing genocide.

Not taking the bait: Sean Spicer ignores false flag chemical attack in Syria

The fundamental reasons why the report of a Syrian chemical attack is fake news are laid out in full in an initial debunking report from The Duran.

Since that piece was published, propaganda photos were published showing the infamous al-Qaeda allied White Helmets handling the bodies of supposed sarin gas attack victims.

Alternate text if image doesn't load

Paul Antonopoulos of the highly reliable al-Masdar News breaks down why the photos are clearly staged, saying:

"....White Helmets are handling the corpses of people without sufficient safety gear, most particularly with the masks mostly used, as well as no gloves. Although this may seem insignificant, understanding the nature of sarin gas that the opposition claim was used, only opens questions.

Within seconds of exposure to sarin, the affects of the gas begins to target the muscle and nervous system. There is an almost immediate release of the bowels and the bladder, and vomiting is induced.

When sarin is used in a concentrated area, it has the likelihood of killing thousands of people. Yet, such a dangerous gas, and the White Helmets are treating bodies with little concern to their exposed skin. This has to raise questions. It also raises the question why a doctor in a hospital full of victims of sarin gas has the time to tweet and make video calls. This will probably be dismissed and forgotten however"

Shortly after the incident in Idlib, a suspiciously well timed piece from the White Helmets founder, falsely claiming to be the head of Syrian Civil Defence, was published in Britain's Guardian newspaper, urging EU leaders not to reach any kind of deal with the legitimate government of Syria during tomorrow's peace talks in Brussels.

The story which on the most fundamental evidence was clearly fake, now looks like a well timed false flag propaganda move.

It's a pity that just as those in the western mainstream media have come to realise that the term 'false flag' is am actual thing, they still haven't come to grips with what it means.

It seems that for once, the White House is not taking the bait.

you talk about false flags but how many false flags are there in Syria? I'll tell you one, the US flag which is allegdedly there to fight Daesh but nothing happens, Daesh stay holed up in Racca, and Syrians die in Idlib. You want to believe the bullshit, but the reality is civilians are drying and you want to argue about what type of gas was used. When they come for you there will be no one to help.

No doubt Dump will be next to call false flag, fake news, that is where he hides

The fundamental reasons why the report of a Syrian chemical attack is fake news are laid out in full in an initial debunking report from The Duran.

I think the rebels might easily have found or been given elements from Assad's stockpile. Or even Saddam's old sarin stockpile. The rumor was that a truck convoy went from Iraq to Syria and that Saddam got Assad (his fellow-Ba'athist) to harbor his chemical weapons. Not as surprising as Saddam getting Iran, his enemy in an 8-year war, to harbor fighter aircraft so we wouldn't destroy all of them.

We also know that most of the brains behind ISIS are Saddam's former intel staffers, high up in his intel service. This accounts for the kind of careful planning and sophisticated propaganda and psy-ops they've conducted in Iraq and in Syria.

So ISIS as an organization of mostly ex-Saddam loyalists might have access to hidden stockpiles of sarin and they could be using those to launch an attack so that Assad would be blamed.

It seems to me that we would have more evidence by now if Assad was responsible. I do know the rebels, both al-Qaeda/al-Nusra and ISIS, are both losing so their only hope is to get outsiders to take Assad down for them or to ground his air forces.

And then we see Assad's air force has dropped barrel bombs on military targets (of which there is no doubt). However Assad hasn't targeted civilians with the barrel bombs. So why would Assad avoid targeting civilians with barrel bombs and then suddenly decide to attack civilians with sarin gas (assuming that is what it actually is).

Assad has other powerful enemies in the region and certainly among the NATO intel services. The rebels could also acquire sarin from outside the country, from the Saudis/Qataris/Kuwaitis for instance. And it doesn't take a major lab to produce enough sarin to kill 70 people.

I also find it suspicious that only 70 were killed. If Assad was going to do a major gas attack on his own civilian population, you'd think he would do as Saddam did decades back when he attacked and murdered thousands of Kurds in a single attack, striking where they were in high concentrations and crop-dusting the area (with a jet), not trying to use sarin from a single bomb (which is quite limited in its ability to spread and cause mass casualties.

It's pretty stupid to risk using sarin on civilians unless you think it wins a war for you. Otherwise, the chances are that it will unify the world against you, all for the sake of killing 70 civilians?

Like I said, a lot of this doesn't make sense. The same is true of most other accused incidents of gas warfare against Assad.

We do also have proof that ISIS did take over at least one chemical factory in Syria and try to produce their own lower-quality chlorine-based gas agent. It wasn't very effective. But what if they have a better lab and better supplies and some expert chemists helping them?

ISIS/al-Nusra are losing and losing badly. They have to have a game-changer to win or Assad will mop them up in coming months.

Thing is, we are not bogans, bogans are low life you call trailer trash. We are people with a "can do" attitude who get in and do it, but we don't invade other people's patch without reason. We don't like mess, no matter who is making it. Did you see us putting up our hand and asking for help after Cyclone Debbie? Did you see us asking for your help in East Timor, but you are quick to ask us to offend the Chinese by using the South China Sea for naval exercises under the guise of freedom of navigation

It is nice you took the time to do some research, amazing what you find on an authoritative site like Youtube, isn't it?

No our muslim population wouldn't like it, see your Obama said yes we can and didn't do it, so why do we have to clean up your mess. Syria is a perfect example of what happens when a major power interferes in the affairs of another nation. No, it is your mess, you clean it up

Let Assad handle it, if he actually did use gas on the Islamist rebels, he's got the right idea. He doesn't need to worry about a bunch of bogan gonnas sticking their noses in, cause ganna isn't gonna.

so you think it is ok to use WMD on a civilian population, but then I shouldn't be surprised, it was your nation who gave the example. There is a big difference between Daesh and the people who want change in their country goaded on by the US, some are outlaws and some are just fools. Look, we conquered Damascus once, surely we don't have to do it again. These rebels in Syria, have been beaten, driven out of Alleppo, and they should have the good sense to say we gave it a go but we arn't going to win, they are not going to let us win. What is the point of fighting among a civilian population and getting them killed.

You see your attitude is what is wrong with the US, you think no one should have any opinion but yours, that you are this great nation who should lord it over the rest of us, but the reality is that, for the most part, your are a bunch of blowhards led by the blowhard in chief

That's right, you bogans were a part and parcel of the empire that destroyed the Ottoman Empire and divided up the loot under Sykes-Picot and made a mess of the region. Bogans broke, bogans can fix it if they think it needs fixing; just leave Uncle Shylock out of it.

That's right, you guys dropped mustard gas on the hill tribes. Then you bogans get upset at Assad for doing what you did.

It does sound like you bogans are the subject matter experts on the region, perhaps the bogan brigades can be resurrected on behalf of world citizenry. I can picture Assad's terror as he sees the dust clouds kicked up by the bogan hordes in their Holdens coming across the desert as they bring truth, justice and the Australian way (Fosters 750ml) to Damascus.

what ever we would do would be heaps better than what they have now. But we wouldn't use our good gear for such a dusty place, we would use the second string Ford Brigade. You are right to point out we fight for truth and justice but we would never force our way on anyone, not like those super-soldiers from the americas.

People like you could never understand the aussie ethos because we operate under the higher laws of a fair go and no worries mate!
