We'll keep the question simple

There is a law that says you must behave a certain way.

That law is clearly immoral.

You can easily do the moral thing with no chance of any consequences whatsoever.

What do you do obey the law or your conscience?

Poster Comment: I obey my conscience.

I obey my conscience.

Now I will flip that around: there is a law that says you must behave a certain way. The law is well- intended, but inconvenient in various annoying ways. You can easily do the illegal thing with no chance of any consequence whatsoever.

What do you do, obey the law or do what you think is most expedient?

Poster Comment: I do what I think is most expedient.

Law is nothing more than the opinion of the legislator. If I agree completely with the legislator, then I am not obeying the law when I do what I was going to do anyway.

If I disagree with the legislator, then the sole question is whether or not there is a sufficient enforcement mechanism to cause me to take the legislator's opinion into consideration while living my life. As the threat and likelihood of punishment increase, the likelihood that I will bend my own will to fit his increases, as I do a sort of cost-benefit analysis of my actions.

At no point do I think that the legislator has the power to set morality simply by setting law.

I'll obey my conscience too... but I won't stay and willingly fund the state the ability to defend the immoral law, legal defense fees, in the form of TAXES.

A privately owned (and never robbed from) mutual fund, dip shit. And if you research the NYS retirement fund, you'll see it's HEALTHY... and supports 100% all pension payouts... buy incoming OFFICER contributions and mutual fund investments.... not taxes. The fund is so healthy and rich, that faggot Libtard scumbag Cuomo would love to STEAL from it... just like every state has done that's in the RED with their retirement system.

Pensions, if done property, and never stole from to balance libtard budget spending, are excellent things.

I paid into that fund for 10 years, asshole. My municipality didn't pay a dime of my contributions... I PAID IT ALL... and now, the rookies contribute the whole time they work to keep the fund healthy.

So shut you shat flap.

I obey my conscience.

Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.

There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."Theodore Roosevelt-1907.

"That law is clearly immoral."

I have no idea what that means. Killing is immoral, yet we execute certain felons. What do you mean by that, or do you have an example?

No examples just a theoretical one at the moment.

Killing a murderer is not the same as murder.

Then no response at the moment. Sorry.

And now you get full retirement and benefits?

It's not going to stay flush long with slackers like you dipping into it for full retirement.
