Title: A Man Was Dancing at a Bus Stop, So Cops Taser, Beat, and Arrest Him

Austin, TX — In today’s ‘See Something, Say Something’ society, doing the ‘pee pee dance’ while waiting for a bus is grounds for police action — at least that’s what a woman in Austin thought when she called the cops on a dancing man. Unfortunately, for the dancing man, police would also perceive his harmless behavior as a threat and move to neutralize it.

This latest instance of ridiculous police brutality was captured on video Tuesday outside of an Austin restaurant. As the video begins, a nicely dressed man was standing at a bus stop doing a bit of a sidestep dance in place. The officer responding to the fearful woman’s 911 call perceived this dance as a potentially dangerous act.

The dancing man appeared to have a mental imbalance and may have flipped the bird at someone driving by. According to witnesses at the scene, the man may have had “some kind of disorder” and a “mental imbalance of some kind.” However, this was not grounds for what happened next.

In the video, we see the man doing nothing other than dancing when the officer approaches him as if he’s holding a child hostage. Within just a few moments the officer has his taser drawn, aiming it at the man’s head.

When the bus shows up, the man attempts to get on it, as it appears that was his intention the entire time. However, the cop would not have it. As the man attempted to walk toward the bus, the cop waved it on.

“He didn’t do anything,” a bystander says just before the situation turns violent. “He’s just standing there, minding his own business.”

For dancing, this man was shot with a taser and then tackled, assaulted, and handcuffed.

“Stop tasering him, you asshole,” a bystander yells as the cop continues his assault.

“Am I under arrest,” the man keeps asking as the cop sits on him.

“Put your hands behind your back and stop resisting,” says the officer to the man who is lying face down and not resisting at all.

At this point, another officer shows up and apparently had no other way to join in the assault, so he started grabbing the man’s legs and twisting them.

“What the fuck, you can’t do that,” another bystander yells.

“He is not even moving,” a woman says.

A third cop then shows up and the officers, clearly at a loss for what their justification was for attacking the man, simply stand around and talk about ‘safety.’

For good measure, to make sure this handcuffed dancing man, who had harmed no one, would be absolutely neutralized — a fourth cop showed up.

“Four cop cars for a person that was appearing a little unstable but not bothering anyone,” says the woman taking the video.

Stupid is as stupid does. Never ever ever ever charge an officer!!!!!!

You act like you are on drugs then charge at the officer are you just wanting to be shot!!

Some people are their own worst enemy!

Personally I don't think the officer knew what to do until the dumb ass charged him and then it was game over! Hands in pocket is not a good idea either.

WTF? He didn't "charge" the officer. He was walking away in attempt to get on the bus that the cop had stopped.

" Stupid is as stupid does. Never ever ever ever charge an officer!!!!!! "

Really ? I watched the video, and I did not see the young man ' charge " the officer. The only thing I saw was the "officer" assaulted the young man, without any provocation. I did not see ANY justification for the officers actions.

I would guess that with this video, and these witnesses s, with a decent lawyer, this young man will have a very good & successful civil suit.

Any time now, the canary clan will be along with a really good fabricated story to make this cop sound like an arch angel.

The cop is lucky that young man's name is not Corleone. He could be sleeping with the fishes, or his head laying in a plate of spaghetti, with a big hole between his eyes.

If this cop is so hot to trot, he should quit the force, & join the US Marines, tell them he wants to volunteer for " Forced Recon ". And then deploy to the sand box. He probably feels safer here, picking on young defenseless people.

The guy was walking quickly to the bus and would have passed near the officer, which seemed to set the officer off. After a cop draws a taser or weapon on someone, the situation is pretty much irreversibly escalated. I can't see any cop then letting that someone simply go their way, regardless of whether drawing was justified or not.

The other 3 cops who arrived later did not witness the prior events, so would have no direct knowledge that this arrest was unjustified, which I think it was, so I don't think they did anything wrong.

When I was growing up, cops were viewed as somewhat dangerous, unfriendly, and people to be avoided, and there was a move about to portray them as friendly and likeable human beings that were on our side. Today, however, it seems cops are rolling that back and the message is now that cops are always in fear for their lives and do not know if you are a killer or not, and that we should never make any moves or take any steps that could be construed as a threat. When pulled over, keep your hands on the upper steering wheel or perhaps have them out the window so the cops can see them in plain sight. But if this is the message that the police want the public to understand, then they can forget about being treated as normal, likeable, friendly human beings. They really should be avoided and treated as people that are always in fear for their lives, and if the guy arrested in this vid made an error, it was that.

" if the guy arrested in this vid made an error, it was that. "

The young man did not do anything wrong !! The cop did. It appears that he was looking for some schmuck to assert his auth or a tay on, and this young man got picked out as the target. The cop needs to be working in a prison, where he can push people around at will.

I suspect that some day, karma will pay that cop a visit, and when he is found, his admirers will be slinging snot, all boo hoo hoo, wah wah wah wah, poor " hero ", not fair .

Don't misunderstand me. If this young man had commited a crime ( like harming a child or elderly person, or done something to provoke the officer, I would probably side with the officer. But based on the evidence we have ( the video ) that is clearly not the case. I remember a time when all cops were highly respected. Sure there were some that were bad, and they weeded out their own. They did not want bad apples pissing all over their good image.

I have two young nephews that are State Troopers in S.C. They are fine young Troopers, and they detest bad cops.

Anyway, the cop in the video is a coward asshole bully, just looking for someone that he can push around. He needs to be fired.

If someone can prove that his actions were justified, I would like to hear it, and see the proof!

Yep. They should be required to have " mal practice insurance " just like Doctors. You would think all city's, states, and counties would be in favor of that. Take the liability off of them, put it where it belongs, on the cop. That would save the taxpayers a fortune. And would likely save a lot of innocent lives. I don't know why they haven't done that already.

I can't swear this to be a fact, but MY opinion is that the reason this won't happen is the invisible power structure of wealthy people that run each city see the police department as their personal bodyguards if riots break out,and they don't want them to worry about law suits or prison while busting heads and opening hearts with slugs while protecting their financial masters.

Besides,no cop that wants to keep his job is EVER going to treat them or their offsprung like they do the working or welfare classes,so why would they care how many peasant heads the cops bust open?

He didn't "charge" the officer.

Right at 2:45 minutes into the video the boy walked aggressively towards the officer which is charging the officer. Never ever walk fast towards an officer because it will be taken as an aggressive move and at that point you will be taken to jail by any means necessary. The officer is already alittle spooked by the actions of the kid.

He is a dumbass kid that learned a very valuable lesson. Don't be stupid near an officer. ;)

He wasn't he was walking towards the cop in a fast pace. The kid could have followed the other riders around the officers car but no he walked in the street dangerously close to the officer.

The kid has no one to blame but his own stupid actions.

The cop was called there by some busy body most likely.

To me this sounds like a set up being that there is a video of this from the start to the end. A gotcha video.

All the kid had to do to defuse the situation is to stop acting crazy and talk to the officer to show he was not on drugs or crazy. Thats it but he could not and well the rest is on some report down at the city hall.

The more I watch the video the dumber this kid gets. Push an officer? OMG!!!

PD Investigating Controversial Arrest of Professor Found ‘Dancing’ at Bus Stop (VIDEO)

by Chris White | 12:48 pm, February 9th, 2017

Police in Austin, Texas are fielding a growing number of calls for information about the use of a taser during the arrest of a University of Texas associate professor earlier this week. Some say 35-year-old Nedialko Dimitrov was just dancing at a bus stop, but the cops say he acted unstable and they could not risk allowing him to get on the city bus.

According to local news station KXAN, the incident occurred on Tuesday and a passerby captured a nearly 10 minute video of some of the incident. That passerby, Victoria Watson, told the news station that she believed the man appeared to have some sort of mental imbalance that was causing him to act “unstable.”

“From my perspective the young man had behavioral issues. He had some sort of imbalance,” Watson said in an interview after the incident.

Police are saying they initially responded to the scene after receiving calls of a man yelling and making odd gestures at people and vehicles passing by.

Watson started filming after cops arrived and she says it is her belief the cops escalated the situation and eventually used a taser on him to bring him to the ground and put him in handcuffs.

Just prior to the actual arrest, Watson says Dimitrov appeared to be trying to board a bus and cops evidently wanted to stop him from doing so.

“I think that the officer was wrong by prohibiting him from getting on the bus,” Watson said in an interview.

After Dimitrov was in cuffs, unidentified witnesses can be heard on the video yelling at the police for unnecessarily arresting the man, who they say was no threat.

The video has started to spread on social media and other police watchdog websites where claims are being made that a man was arrested for “dancing” at a bus stop. However, there does appear to be a little more to the story, at least according to the cops.

A former law enforcement officer in the Austin area for 25-years, Jerry Staton, gave his opinion of the situation to a KXAN reporter after reviewing the video. According to Staton, Dimitrov’s actions could be perceived as hostile, especially at the point in the video where he approached the cop car.

Stanton further explained, “When you encounter someone, you don’t know who that person is, you do know that the number of officers being assaulted and killed and attacked and even ambushed has risen dramatically, so you know cops out there he has a tough job.”

Dimitrov was ultimately arrested on charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest and evading detention. He was then booked in the Travis County Jail after refusing treatment at a local hospital.

LawNewz reached out to the Austin Police Department for comment and we will update this story when we receive a response. However, a department spokesperson did tell other local outlets that they are aware of the video and, “As is standard protocol, the chain of command will review the report and all videos to determine if any policy violations occurred.”

The mental jackass appeared alone at the bus stop while he did the pee-pee dance and talked to himself. When the cop stopped the bus, a crowd appeared to get on. It would seem they would not share the bus stop with a wingnut acting like a Deckard. The cops let the normal people board the bus, and carted his butt off so normal people could resume using the bus stop without have to mingle with a Deckard doing the pee-pee dance while talking to himself.
