Obviously cops can and do get killed in such situations. But people get killed all the time in many situations, both cops and non-cops.
How often in these type of situations do innocent, unarmed people get killed by cops who think they are in danger but are not, compared to cops who get killed who think they are not in danger when they are? What kind of national ratio is there for that?
I don't know what that ratio is.
The cop waited far longer to shoot than cops do today in similar settings, assuming he even shot first. It appears this was from 1998, before 9-11, and before cops have been trained to be so afraid.
Since you don't know, you don't know that either. You are just basing it on a few instances that have been over publicized.
Have they been?
If neither of us has the stats I referred to, neither of us knows.
I'm not talking about recent cases that do indeed get huge amounts of publicity by the MSM. I'm talking about stats since, say 2000. Until recently, people getting shot by cops didn't really make the news.

That may say more about the news than about anything else.
In the last 10 years, there may have been 10 cases of a white citizen or a cop (any race) killing a black and they have received nonstop coverage for weeks.
