In delivering one of her patented conspiratorial screeds in Reno, Nevada, Thursday, Hillary Clinton started by saying she had intended to talk about her desire to help small businesses and entrepreneurs, cut red tape and taxes.

“Because I believe that in America, if you can dream it, you should be able to build it,” she said.

Those were her first lies – unless you count her first words: “Thank you, Reno! It’s great to be back in Nevada.”

Hillary Clinton never met a tax she didn’t want to raise, a government regulation she thought was too lenient, or a small business she couldn’t care less about.

Remember what her former boss Barack Obama said: “You didn’t build that.” To them, only government builds things.

More to the point, Hillary was never going to talk about cutting taxes and red tape and helping small businesses. Let me take you back to 1993, when Hillary was secretly crafting the government takeover of the U.S. health-care system. When it was pointed out to her the devastating consequences some of her plans would have for small businesses, she famously screeched: “I can’t be responsible for every under-capitalized entrepreneur in America.”

Those 10 words say more about her utter contempt for the free market than any 10 words she has ever spoken. Spoken spontaneously, without scripting, they revealed the true Hillary.

But, as Hillary said, that’s not what she went to Reno to talk about. What she did say was carefully scripted, well-planned and even coordinated with her friends in the press, who had been laying the groundwork for the attack speech in which she did what she always does with her adversaries according to the rulebook of her smear-artist mentor, Saul Alinsky.

“Everywhere I go, people tell me how concerned they are by the divisive rhetoric coming from my opponent in this election,” she began, just minutes into what would be a memorable diatribe. “It’s like nothing we’ve heard before from a nominee for president of the United States. From the start, Donald Trump has built his campaign on prejudice and paranoia. He’s taking hate groups mainstream and helping a radical fringe take over one of America’s two major political parties. His disregard for the values that make our country great is profoundly dangerous.”

This was what her friends in the media had been preparing America for, even while new shocking details of her pattern of enriching herself through graft as secretary of state was finally being revealed, resulting in some of her closest allies and supporters demanding she shut down her $2 billion family foundation, which was being exposed as criminal enterprise.

Divisive rhetoric? Paranoia? Taking hate groups mainstream? Helping a radical fringe take over one of America’s two major political parties? Disregard for the values that made America great?

Who is guilty of all of those things? She might as well have been describing herself and her own party. No?

She went on to attack Trump for courting the black vote – which suggests it really threatens her and her party’s monopoly of a constituency they have exploited for political power for the last 52 years. Not long before that, the Democratic Party was the Ku Klux Klan and the Ku Klux Klan was the Democratic Party. It blocked civil rights legislation. It promoted segregation. It oversaw Jim Crow laws. That’s a history you may not know, but is finally getting more visibility thanks to Dinesh D’Souza’s new book and movie, “Hillary’s America,” and an earlier book by African-American author and TV personality Ben Kinchlow, “Black Yellowdogs.”

Here’s how she distorted Trump’s effective outreach to black voters: “Trump has stood up in front of largely white audiences and described black communities in insulting and ignorant terms: Poverty. Rejection. Horrible education. No housing. No homes. No ownership. Crime at levels nobody has seen … Right now, you walk down the street, you get shot. Those are his words.”

Those are his words, all right. But he wasn’t blaming those communities for their plight. He was blaming the Democratic Party for fostering these conditions and, despite their campaign promises of the last 52 years, sustaining that misery and exploitation.

“Trump’s lack of knowledge or experience or solutions would be bad enough,” she claimed. “But what he’s doing here is more sinister. Trump is reinforcing harmful stereotypes and offering a dog whistle to his most hateful supporters.”

That’s just ridiculous. Trump knows what he has to do to win his campaign for the presidency. He has to expand his base of support. And what offends Hillary is that he’s coming after the very people she and her party count on with their empty promises that are never kept. All they get are patronizing words every election cycle while Hillary lives in the exclusive, lily-white environs of Chappaqua, New York.

“A man with a long history of racial discrimination, who traffics in dark conspiracy theories drawn from the pages of supermarket tabloids and the far reaches of the Internet, should never run our government or command our military,” she said. “If he doesn’t respect all Americans, how can he serve all Americans?”

Let me remind you that this is the same Donald Trump whom she courted for campaign donations, the same Donald Trump she sought out for contributions to the Clinton Family Foundation, the same Donald Trump she invited to the wedding of her daughter. If that’s what she believed about Trump, why would she do those things? Simple. She never believed them. And she still knows better.

Once again, she is playing the Alinsky card – accusing her opponent of what she does: It’s Hillary and the Democratic Party that has the long history of racial discrimination, not Donald Trump and the Republicans. It’s Hillary who has spent her entire public life trafficking in dark conspiracy theories. It is Hillary who should never run our government or command our military. It’s Hillary who doesn’t respect all Americans.

The pattern continued through the amazing speech: “And let’s not forget Trump first gained political prominence leading the charge for the so-called ‘birthers,'” she said. Oh really? It wasn’t a Democrat apparatchik of Hillary’s who played the so-called “birther” card against Obama in 2008 Democrat primary? Of course it was. She just didn’t want to get her hands dirty by making a constitutional case on eligibility. Trump courageously did. And, as a result, Obama was forced to release what he claimed to be his “birth certificate” after refusing to do so for nearly his entire first term in office.

But Hillary’s lies got more vicious.

“He promoted the racist lie that President Obama isn’t really an American citizen – part of a sustained effort to delegitimize America’s first black president,” she claimed.

Trump never said that. I don’t know anyone who claimed he was not an American citizen. The question raised was legitimate: Was Obama – and is Obama – constitutionally eligible for the presidency as a “natural-born citizen”? A whole different criteria. And, again, Trump didn’t start the controversy – Hillary did, in her desperate bid for power.

From there, she dove further into the dumpster: “In 2015, Trump launched his own campaign for president with another racist lie. He described Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals.”

Outrageous! Trump never described all Mexican immigrants as rapists and criminals. He merely condemned those that are. It’s a fact that our prisons are teeming with them – representing fully one-third of the prison population in America.

“And he accused the Mexican government of actively sending them across the border,” she said. “None of that is true.”

It is true. The Mexican government has coached its citizens, its own unwanted population, on how to enter the U.S. and survive there.

“Just recently, Trump claimed President Obama founded ISIS,” she said. “And then he repeated that nonsense over and over.”

Trump said Obama should be called “the founder of ISIS” – and he should be for his erratic policies that led directly to the founding of the terrorist group. And Hillary was his co-founder with her deadly policies in Libya.

The baseless accusations continued. The guilt-by-association tactics were evident throughout the mud-slinging speech.

She insisted Trump should disavow support from those Hillary doesn’t like. But did Hillary disavow the support of the Communist Party USA, which is all in for the Democrat? Of course not. No one even asked her to do so.

She did make one important admission in the talk: “I’ve stood by President Obama’s side as he made the toughest decisions a commander in chief ever has to make.” Trump needs to include that in his TV spots.

“In times of crisis, our country depends on steady leadership … clear thinking … and calm judgment … because one wrong move can mean the difference between life and death,” she added.

Is that Hillary? Ask yourself that question.

Then Hillary got to the meat of her speech – a new invention of hers, on par with the “vast right-wing media conspiracy” notion she used against me in the 1990s. It’s called “Alt-Right” for “Alternative Right.”

For weeks I had been getting calls from those in what we euphemistically call “the mainstream media,” including the Washington Post. They wanted to talk to me about the “Alt-Right.” I had never heard the term. But that didn’t stop them.

I asked them to define it for me, but none of them could. Apparently, according to Hillary’s speech, it had been defined by the Wall Street Journal as “a loosely organized movement, mostly online, that rejects mainstream conservatism, promotes nationalism and views immigration and multiculturalism as threats to white identity.”

When one reporter got to the racist angle, all I could say was: “Well, that is detestable. I consider any form of racism an abomination.”

What I am suggesting here is that Hillary’s friends in the media – and they are legion – were attempting to help her create a new bogeyman.

But nationalism is not racism. Being for borders is not racism.

It is to Hillary, though, who said: “This is part of a broader story – the rising tide of hardline, right-wing nationalism around the world.”

Next she blamed Donald Trump for a rise in bullying in American schools – calling it the “Trump Effect.”

But most of the bullying and violence taking place in this campaign has been the other way around – with physical attacks and intimidation being directed by Hillary’s friends and allies against Trump supporters.

I’m sure Hillary’s speech will be well-covered by her friends in the Big Media today. They helped prepare it for her. They think they have found something that can marginalize the movement Trump has created.

Don’t be fooled.

This is a sick, sick woman, full of hate herself, someone who is ethically challenged more than anyone who has ever run for the presidency, a woman who was “co-president” in the 1990s when her husband used the Internal Revenue Service to target his and her political enemies – myself prominently among them.

She does not deserve another chance. She is unfit. She is disqualified. Many who breached national security as she did as secretary of state are serving prison time. She and her husband have never been held accountable for their crimes – many of which were committed when they served in the highest offices in the land.

Don’t give her another chance, because she will surely do it again.
