Seasoned Republican operative Ed Rollins is making his debut in Donald Trump's presidential bid.

Rollins, who was Ronald Reagan's 1984 campaign manager, spoke on a conference call Wednesday with supporters of Great America, a super PAC that backs Trump. Rollins has signed on as a strategist for the group.

Rollins says the super PAC aims to help offset what he sees as a huge financial advantage for likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. "They're licking their chops," Rollins says of Clinton's team. "They think they're going to win this thing."

Great America will likely conduct polls, collect opposition research and run television ads in the lead-up to Election Day, Rollins says. First, though, the group must raise money: As of the end of March, it was almost $700,000 in debt, fundraising documents show.

Ben Carson, a prominent Trump ally, also spoke on the call - a signal that the billionaire businessman is more accepting of outside help from groups that during the primary contest he had called "corrupt."

That no-PAC's line was just meant to get him (Trump) through the primary, to beat the others.

"Lying Ted is owned by the establishment because PAC's support him. I run on my own money so you can trust me"

It will be interesting to see what Trump's positions on issues will be by election day.

Trump goes establishment?

"Goes"? It's where he's been all along - as a crony capitalist voicing support for liberal positions while lining the pockets of liberal politicians. He's played "anti-establishment" for no longer than he's had serious presidential ambitions.

A government strong enough to impose your standards is strong enough to ban them.

Great plan. Too bad they are 30-45 days behind schedule in getting opposition ads running in Ohio, FL, NC, VA and a few other states.

Emperor Zero had ads running round the clock in Ohio, FL and few other 'battle ground' states starting in early April 2012 against Romney. Ground game in place also in key states early April 2012. Sure he was running unopposed, but that same machine is still in place and Hitlery inherits it now. Even if she does not run ads now or later this month, she has the ground game in place.

On the GOP side who has this ground game in place? Trump? No. Cruz does. He was looking out beyond the primaries. Best for Trump and the GOP to ask Cruz for his battle ground state ground game. His campaign was good at it. We saw that when engaging delegates.

Perhaps the nice words each candidate expressed last night is the first step in a unified direction. Hitlery's soulless minions are in place ready to fire.

Hope someone in the Trump brain trust (does he have one yet?) will realize this or are already moving.

This is day 1 of the general election campaign.

Yep. That was my understanding.

The 2016 Presidential election will cost each candidate over $1 billion, and Trump never even hinted he'd pay for that.

As in every election, I expect Trump's position to shift to the center now that the primary is over.

I also expect people like you to be "shocked and surprised" by that move.

And Cruz has best comply ;or President Trump will reopen the JFK assassination investigation.

Seasoned Republican operative Ed Rollins is making his debut in Donald Trump's presidential bid.

Rollins joined the SuperPAC, not Trump's campaign. He does not speak for Trump.
