To: redleghunter, paraclete (#2) I was reading the article "Man accused of hate crime, arson in California mosque fire" and I was thinking this is a crime but somehow its more than a crime because it was a hate crime which just pisses me off when we have special classes for people who are not "White". I can't be the only one that sees this bypass so I started reading the comments below and this was the second post. I had to add the last part because he left it open! To: Justified (#3) I have no idea why there has to be a special category of crime called a hate crime. Arson is arson, it carries a penalty. murder is murder is carries a penalty. When it comes to government of the people all laws should be equal with no special classes. Not everyone is going to get along. Different cultures make it hard for people to trust or even like one another. Special case laws only divide citizens. We may not be able to make different cultures like each other with special laws but at least everyone should be treated the same.
