  • Berlin has sought to criticise EU countries for not taking enough migrants
  • It has now asked Italy to tighten controls on Austrian border to ease flow
  • Figures show record 104,460 asylum seekers came to Germany last month
  • Slovakia’s foreign minister Miroslav Lajcak said Schengen Agreement had fallen apart

Europe's migrant crisis escalated last night as border controls were reintroduced and Germany admitted it could no longer cope with the influx.

Berlin had sought to criticise others – including Britain – for not taking in enough refugees after it announced it would no longer deport those coming from Syria.

But the EU’s passport-free travel zone was on the brink of collapse after Germany was forced to ask Italy to tighten border controls.

As tensions between European leaders unable to agree on how to handle the crisis simmered, Slovakia’s foreign minister Miroslav Lajcak said the Schengen Agreement removing border checks between 26 European countries has fallen apart.

Last night, as the numbers crossing into Germany reached nearly 150 per hour, it asked Italy to impose identification checks at Brennero, on the border with Austria, to ease the flow. An unprecedented surge of migrants has been trying to get to the country after Berlin last week began accepting asylum claims from Syrian refugees regardless of where they entered the EU.

It has caused chaos across eastern Europe as authorities have struggled to cope with the vast numbers who, as undocumented migrants, are theoretically barred from travelling across the EU. Figures released yesterday showed a record 104,460 asylum seekers arrived in Germany last month.

German officials last night insisted that its request to tighten border controls was a ‘temporary measure’. But Mr Lajcak said the Schengen Agreement had ‘de facto fallen apart’. ‘There are tens of thousands of people walking around here without anyone checking them,’ he said. ‘So, do we have Schengen, or don’t we?’

Stephan Mayer, a senior MP in German leader Angela Merkel’s party, said: ‘I do not think Schengen is over… But I certainly see the danger that if it is not possible in the long run to apply European asylum rules, that this directly erodes and endangers Schengen.’

In the Czech Republic, around 200 migrants trying to head to Germany from Hungary were hauled off trains in the southern region of Moravia. Police officers used permanent marker pens to number the refugees, who included dozens of children, before arresting them.

An estimated 3,000 people – mostly wanting to get to Germany – were camped at Keleti station in Budapest as officials said that under EU migration rules they were not allowed to travel. Hungary’s prime minister Viktor Orban will today meet EU chiefs to discuss the crisis.

In Austria, 24 Afghan refugees were rescued from an abandoned lorry. They had been locked in and left to suffocate.

In Greece, ferries arrived in Athens carrying more than 4,000 migrants from the holiday island of Kos. Refugees broke through a police cordon in new clashes on the Greek border with Macedonia.

A lorry from the Netherlands carrying 20 migrants, including two children, was intercepted by UK Border Force officers at Port of Tyne in North Shields. The migrants, from Albania and Syria, were detained and a 32-year-old Polish man was arrested.

The truth about German claims and the real numbers Britain takes: JAMES SLACK'S analysis of the migrant crisis

Analysis by James Slack

In Whitehall, there is deep irritation at the attempt by Germany to present Britain as a country which does not take its fair share of asylum seekers.

In the 2000s, Britain consistently processed more claims than Germany – including 103,081 in 2002 alone.

Indeed, there were so many applications that the system run by the last Labour Government almost collapsed under the strain.

Between 2006 and 2010, despite numbers in the UK beginning to fall, we still accepted almost 10,000 more claimants over the five-year period than the German authorities.

It’s also a fact that numbers in the UK are again beginning to rise. Some 32,344 adults and their dependants applied in 2014, the highest annual number since 2004.

In the first quarter of 2015, the figure was 7,435.

HOW CALAIS MOB TARGET EUROSTARS

The migrants who stormed a Eurostar train in Calais on Tuesday night are now targeting other trains in hopes of forcing their way on board.

The potentially deadly tactic, which left passengers trapped inside a sweltering pitch-black carriage for hours while police searched for trespassers, has seen migrants getting on the tracks to force operators to stop the trains.

Fellow migrants then try to jump aboard the 186mph trains heading for Britain before they reach the heavily-guarded entrance to the Channel Tunnel.

The dramatic scenes, as reported in yesterday’s Daily Mail, were the latest in a miserable summer for Britons travelling through Calais, as tightened security at the port sees migrants look further afield in their quest to reach the UK.

On Tuesday they targeted five Eurostar trains close to Calais-Frethun station, five miles from the coast.

John Keefe, of Eurotunnel, said: ‘They’re stopping trains by blocking the tracks, then trying to get through the tunnel, but we won’t accept trains with migrants on. We can’t accept trains with people hanging off the outside, it’s not safe.’

There is also some scepticism inside Whitehall over Germany’s claim that it will take 800,000 asylum seekers this year.

In the first three months, it received 83,130 applications and, even with the scale of the current crisis, the numbers arriving would need to increase dramatically.

Officials also point out that, while Germany seeks to focus attention on Syrian refugees, they have been making up only around a fifth of claims.

Historically, Germany has received more asylum seekers from Kosovo, Albania and Serbia.

Much of the criticism of the Home Office centres on the so-called ‘vulnerable persons relocation scheme’, which critics point out has given refugee status to only 187 people.

But officials point out this is a specific route to the UK that prioritises victims of sexual violence and torture, the elderly and disabled and allows them to apply from overseas.

Syrians continue to be able to claim asylum in the normal way after reaching the UK and, since 2011, around 5,000 claims have been approved, including 1,000 last year.

Very few genuine Syrians (people from other countries increasingly claim to be from Syria to boost their chances of success, having destroyed their papers), are turned down.

Nobody disputes that, currently, Germany is accepting larger numbers of applications. But, crucially, the political situation in the two countries could hardly be more different.

As Migrationwatch chairman Lord Green of Deddington argues, based on last year’s rate of 330,000 net migration, our total population would grow by three million every five years.

To ask the public to accept tens of thousands of refugees on top of this – at a time when concern about immigration has never been higher – would be a very difficult ‘sell’ indeed for David Cameron.

In Germany, by contrast, the low birth rate means that its population would fall by 25 per cent by mid-century if it had no net migration.

England is also nearly twice as crowded as Germany and has more migrants per population.

According to a report published by the House of Commons library yesterday, 12.5 per cent of the population was born overseas. The figure for Germany is 12.5 per cent.

Buried in the article is the truth: sexual license has caused the birth rates of all of the white nations to completely collapse, except for a handful of the Scandinavian nations and France, all of which are the ones that most heavily subsidize parents to have children.

People talk as though there were the choice to simply have sexual liberty, postpone child birth for economic reasons, have a birth rate collapse AND have low wages to maintain high profits.

This is impossible.

It is simple economics: if the birth rates collapse and the borders are firm, there are fewer and fewer people. Labor scarcity means higher wages by the law of supply and demand, and THAT, in turn, means lower profits for business owners, because they have to pay the higher wages.

So, nations really have only a few choices: accept a lower standard of living and a high birth rate, or accept immigration to fill in the labor hole, that is, if they refuse to permit wealth redistribution through higher wages to scarcer workers.

Whites have not been willing to accept the lower standard of living, and Whites are not willing to give up on recreational non-procreative sex.

THEREFORE there will be contraception and collapsed birth rates, and that means EITHER reduced profits as labor costs skyrocket, OR the maintenance of profit margins by finding new cheaper labor. That can be done by shipping jobs offshore - for the jobs that can be shipped, in countries where the labor unions are not strong enough to prevent the government from having an offshore-the-factories policy, OR it can be done by letting immigrants flood in.

Because ALL of the White countries are below replacement rate (without exception) immigration will never be in the form of white Europeans. It will always be in the firm of people from the non- European world. In America that means mostly Latinos, and also Asians. In Europe, it means Middle Easterners and Africans.

Immigrants come with their cultures and their religions, and MASS immigrants come as a mass that allows the religion, culture and even language to stay intact and transplant.

And both Latino Catholics and Muslims maintain their characteristically high birth rates after settling. Maybe in the future, once the Latinos and Muslims have achieved middle class status in America and Europe respectively, they will become like whites and have a precipitous drop in birth rates. However, the very low wages they earn relative to the native population means that that day will be long in coming.

So, you can maintain your culture and language and "white" civilization, at the cost of wealth redistribution from the capital class to the white worker class. Or you can maintain your socio- economic pyramid at the cost of your culture and language.

Workers and middle class people in the white countries who never learned economics pretend that the culture can be maintained WITHOUT wealth redistribution from the rich whites to the poor whites. This is not true. It is quite impossible because of the law of economics. Supply and demand in a white world of recreational sex and job insecurity at wages that are not comfortable enough for whites to feel secure MEANS low birth rates, and THAT means fewer workers, which INEVITABLY by the laws of economics most certainly means that wages ratchet higher and higher, for ever-more scarce white workers. And that effects wealth redistribution from the wealthy capital class to the working and middle class, through wages. It can only be avoided by mass immigration and "free" trade offshoring of labor - but THAT inevitably means the loss of the culture.

Whites have to choose between their economic structures and their cultures. To preserve their cultures they have to go socialist and redistribute the wealth, so that whites have babies. In the lands with the greatest wealth redistribution in the form of universal wage support for the middle class, the white birth rate is highest. France and Scandinavia have the highest taxes, the highest wealth redistribution...and are the only ones with a white birth rate that is near (but still below) replacement. The bottom has fallen out of the white birth rate in all of the most capitalist countries, such as Germany, Canada and America.

Which means more? English language and American culture and Protestant religion, or the sharply defined socio-economic pyramid. You can have one or the other. Europe and America in general, except for France and Scandinavia, have chosen to maintain their economic model. The countries that have done so have relatively lower taxes, and relatively lower standards of protection of workers...and much lower white birth rates. The countries that redistribute more, have more white babies.

I favor wealth redistribution precisely BECAUSE I think that the religion and the culture are worth preserving. But when it comes to Latino migration, I shrug my shoulders because they're Catholic. My less perceptive countrymen are hellbent on preserving BOTH their economic system AND their culture, but that is impossible because of the laws of economics and population biology. There is a birth vacuum, and it is being filled with Latinos here. In Europe, the situation is more dire: Islam is the replacement population.

Still, the dynamic is the same.

I've made peace with wealth redistribution to save the culture, and because it's more Christian anyway. But my countrymen prefer their economic system over their culture - they just don't realize that that is the choice they are making, because they do not understand things realistically.

The Germans and British are the same way. They have a very hierarchical socio-economic model (that's where we got it). They cannot stand too much leveling. Therefore, the bulk of their white countrymen feel too hard-pressed to have babies, therefore the countries fill up with migrants. And everybody wrings his hands and wonders why.

It's funny watching it, because the solution is right before our eyes. The refusal to grasp it means Los Estados Unidos Norte Americanos and Sharia 2050 are in our future. And it will have been a choice.

So letting the population "maintain itself" at a certain level and closing the borders is a bad thing???

Wouldn't this solve the issue over abortion, there would be no need for it anymore...

“Let me see which pig "DON'T" I want to vote for, the one with or without lipstick??" Hmmmmm...

So letting the population "maintain itself" at a certain level and closing the borders is a bad thing???

There's nothing wrong with it. I'm fine with it, in fact.

There are two problems with it from an American cultural perspective, one conservative, the other liberal.

The conservative problem is that to close the borders and maintain with the present population means that there will either be wealth redistribution through taxation, if population levels are to be maintained, or there will be wealth redistribution through very high wages, as workers become scarce and the cost of labor (and goods) goes up. Without immigrants and their birth rate, the age of low-paid service work would be at an end. Fast food workers and waitresses would have to earn a living wage.

I'm fine with that, but conservsatives would scream at the notion that a McDonald's worker must earn $36,000 per year. But that is the price if you're going to not exploit foreign labor.

Because conservatives and capitalists will resist the right pricing of labor - because it will dramatically reduce their profits and redistribute their wealth concentration via wages, instead of taxes, they will resist the rise in wages and press for open borders.

The only way to replace the labor force with native born white (and black) Americans is to dramatically increase the income of the white working and middle class. Otherwise they won't have babies, and the cost of labor will shift massively upward.

That's the conservative problem.

The liberal problem is that from the general perspective of the people, sex is not for procreation, it is for recreation. Procreation is a choice, but sexual pleasure is a basic human need, even a consumer good (most of the Internet is porn). As wages go up, people will improve their lifestyles, but because most people are a LONG way from feeling secure, they won't start having babies anytime soon. They will continue to fornicate and adulterate. Also, now that the bar on homosexuality is broken, socially awkward men who's first sexual experiences are same sex - an extremely common phenomenon that used to work itself out - will now, with normalization, solidify more and more into permanent homosexuality. The normalization of homosexuality and the relative appeal of the lifestyle to people within it (which is why it has grown so swiftly), will depress the birth rate no matter what is done with the Border. Heterosexual fornication will remain constant, and homosexual fornication will continue to rise, and that means that marriage will continue to dwindle, and childbearing continue to be delayed or avoided.

Even in those countries that have strong social safety networks and wealth redistibution, where the whites are CLOSER to replacement level, they still are not AT replacement level because of the general sexual immorality of the population. Sexual immorality is rising and normalized, now with open homosexuality. It no longer scandalous for unmarried people to have sex. It's expected after a few dates (and why NOT, in a land where religion is disappearing fast?)

The liberalization of sexual mores MEANS the gradual decline of the population if the borders are not closed.

Nothing seems likely to bring back religion other than the injection of religion from abroad (particularly Islam, whose sexual mores are quite different and more compatible to expanding populations because of polygamy and male control of sexual relationships - where men can choose when women breed, and women have no choice in the matter and cannot easily initiate divorce, there are more babies).

Post-Christian western society is very high on personal liberty and pleasure, and sexual liberty lies at the very heart of both. If you close the borders that will not change, and sexual immorality means that the population death spiral will certainly continue UNLESS there is HEAVY redistribution of wealth from the top. That will SLOW the population decline by causing whites to have MORE babies, as they do in France and Scandinavia, but still not ENOUGH to even reach replacement - which means the spiraling cost of labor already discussed.

That's the way it is - law of supply and demand and substitution - and nothing anybody can say or do can change that iron law.

Truth is, Christians should be doing one set of things, and it doesn't really matter what everybody else does, because they're all doomed anyway. There isn't going to be any way to drag the diseased corpse of America across the finish line, because there's too much evil cooked into the system.

Christians can (barely) pull THEMSELVES across the finish line, IF they straighten up and fly right. I see no indication, from Christians, that they are ready to be humble and submit to their God. So I expect, in the long run, that Christianity will continue to wither and the world religion will be Islam.

The only way back from that is for Christians to actually follow God. A remnant will, and they'll be a powerless, persecuted minority. They will go to heaven when they die, and the rest of humanity will be thrown into the lake of fire.
