Baltimore Riots Mom Slap

Things have gotten way out of control in Baltimore County following the death of Freddie Gray, but at least one mother is doing her best to make sure her son doesn’t get caught up in the rioting. Look what one CNN news crew caught live on camera:

You should have pinged him.

Limbaugh nails it a lot regardless of some hot air.

I had a rare drive time lunch break and caught 15 mins of the program. So CZ nailed it too...

Lets see Baltimore is 60% Black or more, the police are mostly Black, most of the city council is Black, has only been 1 white mayor in the last 30 years and the last Republican mayor was back in 1967.

Yeah but the new governor is a white Republican.

He has to be to blame for everything.

This was not about free speech.

Toya Graham was exercising her Constitutional right to direct the education and upbringing of her son as cited by the Supreme Court in a long train of cases that confirmed this fundamental right.

No matter what your take of her action is, she got her son away from the danger.

She is to be commended for doing that and should be named: “Mom of the Year.”

Well O Malley was responsible for a lot of things the citizens didn't like. Higher taxes, supports immigration, supports homo marriage and other things. He was also the Mayor of Baltimore at one time. His hand picked successor was beaten by 5 points by the Pubbie Hogan. Electing a Republican governor was not a predictable response nevertheless it's happened. (Maybe there is still hope for some of these Blue states after all). Kinda makes you wonder if they will elect a Republican mayor in Baltimore next time around.

Only time will tell if Hogan is just another idiot or a Scott Walker or somewhere in between.

You don't need to ping someone directly to stir the pot, as you've seen before over at LP some people (Meguro, Gatlin) follow other peoples vapor trails constantly.

Neal Boortz used to say "If you believe everything I say on this radio program then your aren't doing your own research very well". (Don't know if Rush has ever said that but it is very true).

Freddy just isn't doing his research, if he did he would know there are other items out there to shave the face with instead of a skinning knife or a tomahawk.. :)

Every so often, voters will do the most unexpected thing, out of the blue. No warnings in the polls, nada. Just a sudden rejection of the supposed favorite who was considered a lock for an election. Right up until the votes came in.

Detroit was a nightmare, with brigades from the 82nd and 101st, plus over 10,000 NG. The sniping was so bad the 101st once used 50's to suppress.the sniping.

To help end the disturbance, Governor George W. Romney ordered the Michigan National Guard into Detroit, and President Lyndon B. Johnson sent in Army troops. The result was 43 dead, 1,189 injured, over 7,200 arrests, and more than 2,000 buildings destroyed.

Whoa. A war zone in Motown. That was THE end of Detroit. Not nearly as bad in Newark.

Never heard that 50 cal from choppers were used to quell the sniper fire. 10,000 NG were needed or else what would have been left of Detroit? Unreal. Can you believe this?? Here we are nearly 50 years later...There are black Mayors and Presidents and STILL things don't ever change in these Dem-run urban cities. Fact is, things have gotten MUCH worst. Early spring of 1969 - after the inner-city riots of the late '60s - that's when my parents hauled my little 4-year-old butt right out of that Camden hell-hole - without a moment's hesitation - even though they took a loss on the row home.

Man...YOU actually lived as a small child in Camden back then? You got out of Dodge just in the nick. Your folks were very wise (they *had* to take a hit on their home.)

Some Italians (Americans) in Newark tried to weather that storm from the summer of '67. By '69 it was clear that strongholds were caving. FAST.

ME: "Some defy and smash through their own Stockholm syndrome of imprisonment, but if doesn't change the established 'black culture.'"

Even you are admitting that black hatred for whites isn't universal, while pretty much denying it at the same time.

Your reading comprehension is abysmal. Or maybe it's just that you don't understand my post.

"Some" blacks -- the ones refuse to remain brainwashed, the ones who defy and reject the establishment "black" culture's expectations for behavior are unfortunately the exception not the rule.

Those cultural expectations are NOT to "act white," NOT to reject ebonics, and to regard Whitey as an eternal enemy of sorts. This is the default behavior mode taught of urban blacks whether YOU admit it or not. This pathological hatred of Whitey by plantation blacks' is their "universal" rule, NOT mine. I'm just an observer of this painfully transparent phenomenon.

The flip side of that is blacks complaining that all whites hate blacks.

But THAT stereotype promoted by liberals and militant black "leadership" is an absolute LIE and nothing but propaganda (or else tell me -- HOW did 0buma get elected?)

Can you see where YOUR attitude does nothing but contribute to the ultimate success of the people determined to destroy our country? You are playing right into their hands.

What I *can* see from a million mile away is that your entire premise and theories are...totally absurd. Your excuses, alibis, and justifications for black lawlessness and "victimhood" qualify you for a special front-of-line position to march arm and arm with Sharpton and Jackson. Wave. I'll look for you on MSNBC's Tee-Bee "news."

BECAUSE revenge and "social justice" is the #1 Goal of these people; NOT MLK "Dream."

Since we are on Motown. This is what was reported started the riots:

By the summer of 1967, the predominantly African- American neighborhood of Virginia Park was ready to explode. Some 60,000 poor people were crammed into the neighborhood’s 460 acres, living in squalor in divided and sub-divided apartments. The Detroit Police Department, which had only about 50 African Americans at the time, was viewed as a white occupying army. The only other whites seen in the neighborhood commuted from the suburbs to run their stores on 12th Street.

At night, 12th Street was a center of Detroit inner-city nightlife, both legal and illegal. At the corner of 12th and Clairmount, William Scott operated an illegal after-hours club on weekends out of the office of the United Community League for Civic Action, a civil rights group. The police vice squad often raided establishments like this on 12th Street, and at 3:35 a.m. on Sunday morning, July 23, they moved against Scott’s club.

That night, the establishment was hosting a party for several veterans, including two servicemen recently returned from Vietnam, and the bar’s patrons were reluctant to leave. Out in the street, a crowd began to gather as police waited for paddy wagons to take the 85 patrons away. Tensions between area blacks and police were high at the time, partly because of a rumor (later proved to be untrue) that police had shot and killed a black prostitute two days before. Then a rumor began to circulate that the vice squad had beaten one of the women being arrested.

An hour passed before the last prisoner was taken away, and by then about 200 onlookers lined the street. A bottle crashed into the street. The remaining police ignored it, but then more bottles were thrown, including one through the window of a patrol car. The police fled as a riot erupted. Within an hour, thousands of people had spilled out onto the street. Looting began on 12th Street, and some whites arrived to join in. Around 6:30 a.m., the first fire broke out, and soon much of the street was set ablaze. By midmorning, every policeman and fireman in Detroit was called to duty. On 12th Street, officers fought to control the mob. Firemen were attacked as they tried to battle the flames.

The rest of the story Gary already posted earlier.

Yup. And I remember when I was 3 or 4, I was innocently -
and quite enjoyably - playing with my toy dump truck
in front of the house - and my play must have gotten
out of hand - as well as my dump truck 'driving' -
because I found myself and my dump truck at the other
end of the block "Hmmm... I've never been HERE before...".
So I was playing with my dump truck, talking to some folks
sitting on their front stoop - and they were asking me
things like:

"Little boy, does your mommy know where you are?"

And sure enough - here comes mommy running down the
sidewalk in a full panic! She had turned her back on me for
a moment and: "WHERE the heck did he go?!"

Even after all these decades I still distinctly remember
getting spanked for that one.

It is a fact of life that the squeaky wheel gets the grease,as well as the teebee cameras.

Not all blacks are northern or western urban blacks that live in ghettoes. It just seems that way because the politicians want it that way,and the byword of the media has always been "If it bleeds,it leads!" Nobody is going to spend any time or effort to do news stories on a guy that gets up every morning and goes to work to support his family. It just ain't a good story.

When I go to Hardees to eat breakfast I almost always end up talking with a 93 year old black farmer that used to join up with my father sometimes for brief forays into the world of raising hogs to butcher and sell. His English is as good as mine and I don't even sense the slightest resentment from him when he is talking with me or other white people. In fact,he agrees with me that white racism and violence in the 30's to the 60's is being exaggerated, and in rural areas there was almost no trouble between blacks and whites. He showed me a photo today of him and his brother at their roadside vegetable stand that was taken in 1936. Because of his age he only farms a couple of acres now to have something to do,but he was talking with me this morning about the crops he had planted.

Damned if he doesn't read the newspaper every day without reading glasses, too. I damn near need reading glasses not to just see the damn paper, never mind read it.

You,or anyone else, can look at this woman any way you choose to look at her.

What I see is a woman that DESPITE having 6 kids to raise my herself,is out there doing her damnedest to keep her one son in line and away from the temptations of the street and the call of the crowd. Most mothers in her position have no control whatsoever off their male offsprungs, and damn little over their female offsprungs.

She seems to be the exception because she is trying to do the right thing.

Yes,there are "professional welfare mothers" that keep dropping babies in order to keep the checks rolling in. She doesn't seem to be one of them, and for all any of us,including you, know, she had a husband that fathered all 6 children who died or left her alone to care for them.

ALL any of us KNOW about this woman is she is trying to do the right thing under trying circumstances.

The Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!!

When?? Yesterday or the day before yesterday??

A John Belushi/movie reference.

IMHO,Belushi was one of the funniest men to ever draw breath.

Please note that I said given the statistics on out of wedlock births among black women it was very likerly taht there was no father at home providing for or raising any of the 6 kids in the household. I acknowledged that "for all we know" right up front.

As for her trying to do the right thing, if she is one of the 70+% unwed black mothers, yes, indeed, better late than never. But studies show that a kid's basic personality, core values, etc. are set at a very, very young age (like 5 years old or so, certainly before middle school). She missed doing the right thing boat on that one. The overwhelming probablity is that her son is still going to be what he is going and that was determined years ago when he was growing up with no father at home.

Now, if this women's husband did in fact father all her children in a two parent home and died or otherwise left the family without means or child support then I will be the first to stand and applaud this women for raising her kids under extrenmely tough circumstances. Under these circumstances I believe it would hard for anyone to begrudge any public assistance that she may have received or is still receiving.

But if she is in fact a professional welfare mother as you call it then she does not deseve the admiration and praise that you and others wish to heap on her. Rather both sides of her "mothership" should be presented, the good and the bad, especially if you and I were paying to raise her kids.

I am willing to bet that the MSM will never report on her circumstances that resulted in six children.

потому что Бог хочет это тот путь
