She shouldn't be striking him on the head, especially on the temple. Maybe if she wasn't a head-hitter, he wouldn't be such a dumb little punk. That said, she was more right than wrong in corralling her rioting kid and sending him home. Even so, this won't happen on any large scale. A bunch of kids in a metro area can be anywhere and it's mostly sheer luck this woman even found her kid out in those mobs.
If you just decided not to make your welfare check bigger by getting knocked up by another unknown "baby daddy", 16 years ago... and now that the cute little animal has grown up... she put a little parenting in to her investment. A little too late. Now your spawn has been unleashed on the rest of us to support and be victimized for our finacial support.

I love this woman. She should get the Mother of the Year award. I loved seeing the good citizens of Baltimore coming out with brooms to clean up the debris. It is encouraging to see those who are opposed to such violence. We didn't see much of that in Ferguson. I wonder what will happen now with Sharpton on the scene. I wish he had a mother who would slap him upside the head! Will he succeed in his race baiting here? I'm not so sure he will. Oh, he'll get the thugs support. I think there are more blacks who will squash his rebellion. This putz needs to be in jail for inciting rioting nationwide.

I saw another video where they interviewed a (black) city council member on the street. He said it was frustration due to the lack of education, jobs, and businesses fleeing the urban areas of the city. Note that all of these are the fault of the black community itself. 32% reported high school dropout rate (I bet it's closer to 50%). And who's going to hire someone who can't read or do simple math? Plus, businesses have moved out because of the violence. I would have said to the councilman, "Look around you. Would you locate a business here and hire these people to work for you?" What a mystery that businesses would flee demon "customers" like these. Sounds like urban justice has given way to "just-us". As in "That's just us looting our local businesses".

Everybody should have a mother like that. It's a crying damn shame that so many children today have to raise themselves because their parents just don't give a damn and can't be bothered. Nobody can say that about that mother,and that boy won't have any excuse in court when he is finally arrested and brought before a judge. It's all going to be on him,not on his upbringing. Being this is Baltimore,instead of receiving some sort of award from the city for being a good mother and good citizen,chances are she will be arrested for slapping her "child" because he is under 18. Probably not. Dey mamas is the highest power they recognize. Most seem to have the bad luck to grow up with mamas that don't give a damn about anyone but themselves,and all the care about is the money the government gives them for their children,and how much money their children turn over to them that came from stealing,selling drugs,or some other crime. That guy may be a little embarrassed today,but IF he is lucky he will look around one day 10 years or so from now,and get down on his knees to kiss her feet for teaching him values and keeping him in line when he was a child.

BTW,everyone needs to notice and note that not once did he raise his hand to hit her back or to get physical with her in any way. He didn't even get verbally aggressive with her. This means he loves and respects his mother more than he loves his image before his homies or anyone else. He may be a little bit mad and a lot embarrassed,but he understands that his mother wants what is best for him. I think this boy has a good chance of becoming a respectable man because his mother is going to keep on him to make him into the man he needs to be.
