Guns Don’t Even Make The Top Ten List Of Big Killers

The national debate on guns and gun control heat up every time there is a mass murder, but how many people even know what the rates are and just how many people die due to causes in other ways that have substantially huge numbers compared to the use of guns? This is one question that few seem to bring into view and even fewer wish to discuss because than it shows that guns are number ten in the top ten ways of killers in the United States. But if these statistics would show the murder of 4,000 babies a day in their mother’s womb at the hands of paid hit men, then guns would not make it into the top ten of the “big killers” in the USA as shown by statistics given by Centers for Disease Control, FBI, and the United States Federal Government. By the way, over 1 year, more babies are murdered than any other source of killings and an abortion, though now legal, is a murder of an innocent child that has no way of knowing their life will be snuffed out by a doctor with a device. Babies have heartbeats at 4 days and an abortion stops that heartbeat, thus killing that baby.

Perhaps the best way to see just how restricting the rights to own guns can be found by looking back in history to the most despicable regime in history, and that would be the Third Reich or better known as Nazi Germany with their leader, Adolf Hitler, the mad man of Germany! The following history can be found at Stephen Halbrook’s website.

This is from “17 Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law, No. 3, 483-535(2000).” In the first paragraph Halbrook shows a brief from Justice Felix Frankfurter that states:

“We are in the danger of forgetting that the Bill of Rights reflects experience with police excesses. It is not only under Nazi rule that police excesses are inimical; to freedom. It is easy to make light of insistence on scrupulous regard for the safeguards of civil liberties when invoked on behalf of the unworthy. It is too easy. History bears testimony that by such disregard are the rights of liberty extinguished, heedlessly at first, then stealthily, and brazenly in the end.” ( Davis v United States, 328 U.S. 582, 597 (1946) (Frankfurter, J., Dissenting)”

What did Justice Frankfurter mean way back in 1946? It is simple. By all definitions, he meant that when gun control begins, it starts out small, then expands into further restrictions until in the end the government has extinguished all rights to gun ownership as did Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party of Germany.

But the question becomes one of what to do with these mad, crazy people that commit these atrocious mass killings? How do we stop the gun violence? Both very good questions, but they do not address the symptom, only the result. The symptom of all the mass murders seem to be a problem with our ability to see this begin with a person’s mental state. The mass murder at Fort Hood was done by a man whom the Army had known to have made strange statements about Islam and the Muslim people and they failed to act upon what they knew costing a number of injured and dead. The case in Colorado seems to indicate that those who did the mass shootings had made statements that the mental state of James Holmes should have red flagged authorities. Instead, they ignored those cases and they became surprised at what happened.

In the most recent one in Newtown, Connecticut, this individual had made statements and was about to be committed, but the mental health system failed to stop a mad man and 27 lives were lost due to this, even with very tight gun controls and limited access into the building! Instead of looking at the source of these problems, those whom are determined to destroy the Constitution are looking at the results!

At Sandy Hook, the young man broke the law 14 times before murdering the 27 people. He broke into the school, which had a small sign on the front, “Gun Free Zone.” That by itself should be eliminated and he did know the school did not have any guns to protect the people inside due to the fact that his mother worked there. The police could not provide adequate protection due to the fact that so many were killed before the police could even get close to the spot. However, this is not considered when people begin to discuss this problem. Instead, they jump on the bandwagon and demand stronger gun control laws; laws which even if were made stronger, would not have stopped the mad man at Sandy Hook.

Adolf Hitler knew that in order to Force the people into submission, he had to gain control of all the avenues of retaliation he could and he knew that guns were the most destructive means of getting himself and his ideology destroyed. It was because of this that he stated the following;

“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by doing so.”

(Hitler’s Secret Conversations 403(Norman Cameron and R.H. Stevens trans.,1961)

Is the United States on the same road as was Germany in 1938? This is a question that we, as a people, have to ask, since to disarm the people would indeed make them subjects to the government due to the fact that the government would be able to do as it wishes without worry of any sort of revolution! But is this what our country is about to do? We as a people should make a very wise decision here because should we disarm the people, then America has changed and it will not be for the good of the people, but for the good of the government! It will make a change that the founding fathers would never have wanted. The United States would become nothing less than a nation of leaders with their subjects kneeling down at the leaders feet and doing as told and nothing from the voice of the people will ever be heard again! Do we, as a nation, wish to go down that dark road due to mad men with guns? Remember, once guns are made illegal, only the illegal will have the guns. This is proven out every day across the United States with the murders on the street by gangs killing each other with guns, many of them obtained through their dealings with the drug lords. We as a nation cannot stop the drugs and by that we cannot stop the guns used in murders.

Our Constitution and the Second Amendment have been under attack for a very long time due to the fact that as long as the Second Amendment is upheld and the rights of the people to bear arms is alive, our government will not dare to challenge the ones that own the guns for fear of a breakdown in the rule of government. One of the rulings from the Supreme Court gives rise to question if any court should have any sort of bearing upon the Constitution and use their high standards to rule at what they may believe to be right when the document does as it is supposed to do and that is to give the right of the people some meat to hold the government from being an overbearing dictatorship of the people they are supposed to serve..

“Gun control laws are depicted as benign and historically progressive.”

As shown by statements from Adams v. Williams, 407 U.S. 143, 152 (1972) (Douglas J., dissenting);

“But if watering down is the mode of the day, I would prefer to water down the Second Amendment rather than the Fourth Amendment. There is no reason why all pistols should not be barred to everyone but the police.” Id.at 150-51.

This should bring a cause for deep concern since this demonstrates that the very court that the people depend upon to interpret rightly and uphold the Constitution, not “water it down”! Gun control is a very touchy debate and rightly so, but our nation was built from guns and it should remain as such. No nation on the face of our earth would dare to come to our shores to make an attempt to take over our nation! That would have to be done from the inside and therein lies the problem since our nation is now being challenged from the inside. This could lead to the eventual downfall of our freedom we as a people love so dearly.

A wise man once stated:

“Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.”

This statement should be used quite a bit today. It seems that our nation has lost direction and is willing to sacrifice liberty for a draconian dictatorship by the government telling the people what we can and cannot do. This was never meant to be and it should never ever be allowed to happen, but today we stand at what may well be the crossroads from freedom to becoming subjects directed by the government as to what we can and cannot do as a free people. The founders of our nation knew full well that down the road it would become a complicated mess with all sorts of ideas and ideologies popping up that would challenge the very document they wrote to guide and show this nation how it should go. One of those great men, Samuel Adams, made a great number of statements, but one that seems to relate to our nations troubling time may well best be used in the opposite way.

“It does not take a majority to prevail…but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brush fires of freedom in the minds of men.”

Here Samuel Adams is speaking of starting brush fires to stoke the flames of freedom in the minds of men, but today the entire opposite is happening. The “brush fires” being ignited today will send this nation backwards instead of forward into more freedom. The ideology that gun control will stop the killing is like stating that eliminating alcohol will stop drinking, we all know that did not work and neither would gun control.

Our very first President knew that the ownership of guns would set this nation free and that it would keep this nation free. George Washington stated:

“A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well-digested plan is requisite; and their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories as tend to render them independent of others for essential, particularly military, supplies.”

George Washington, State of the Union Speech 1790

In today’s world we are faced with a group of people that would like it to be said that they control the United States and they control the world. Today we even hear of a “One world government” and a “New World Order” openly being discussed in the United Nations and it is the very UN that wishes to disarm the people of the United States! But today the people of the United States are not as proud and seem to be fine with being “protected” by police that may take up to a half an hour to get to them.

In closing, we refer to the chart below in showing that without abortion, guns are number 10 on a list of “Ten Big Killers” in the U.S. Tobacco is number one and yet our nation does not ban tobacco, but it does control it. That does not stop the tobacco from being a product that incites death, but not on its own. If we included the murder of babies by abortion, it would top the list with 1,464,000 murdered each year! But look at the bottom of this list and see that baseball bats are the number 1 weapon used in assaults. Wait, should a baseball bat be listed as an assault weapon, since it is the Number 1 weapon used in assaults by violent criminals? Think about that for a moment, parents would have to get a license, a background check, and bat locks to keep the bat locked up when not used legally! Is this the way our nation was designed to work? We would hope not! We must realize that the actions of mad people, people with severe mental problems are the source of many mass murders. Excluding the abortion issue, guns alone do nothing, except when in the hands of criminals! No individual could ever state that a .38 caliber gun walked down the street and began shooting. That would be impossible!

What's amazing is that abortion isn't on the list, it killed over 300,000... Guns don't kill people but abortionists sure do!! (1 image)

"Just over half of all gun-related deaths in the United States are suicides,[7] with 17,352 (55.6%) of the total 31,224 firearm-related deaths in 2007 suicide deaths, and 12,632 (40.5%) homicide deaths."

"In 2010 there were 358 deaths involving rifles. Deaths involving the use of pistols in the US that same year totaled 6,009 including suicides."

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun...ence_in_the_United_States

Gun sales have exploded. More people own guns than ever before in the history of this nation. It is estimated that there are more guns than there are people and gun related deaths are down from 2007. Imagine that.

"The Congressional Research Service in 2009 estimated there were 310 million firearms in the United States, not including weapons owned by the military. 114 million of these were handguns, 110 million were rifles, and 86 million were shotguns. [10] In that same year, the Census bureau stated the population of people in America at 305,529,237"

Firearms are by far the most deadly.

Not if you get stuck by a shiv first! They've made the switch in the UK.

I've heard the stomping people to death is becoming increasingly popular there too.

Maybe they should ban Doc Martin boots there next?
