Cantor, Boehner Coming Together

Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) spokesman Doug Heye tweeted out a peace offering to House Speaker John Boehner, a sign that leadership is coming together and moving closer to a path to passage of the Senate bill.

"Majority Leader Cantor stands with @SpeakerBoehner. Speculation otherwise is silly, non-productive and untrue," Heye tweeted.

What will be your focus this year?

1) The relative economic decline in any one region, as quantified by a relative decline in per capita GDP, will be proportional to the relative decline in per capita petroleum consumption rate for that region. It is inherent in my PIE analysis that the future import and export trends for each region have been accounted for, and, for the purpose of this analysis, I am going to assume that alternative fossil fuels could not or will not be ramped up in time to make much of a difference for the one area that petroleum has been critical for economic growth: transportation.

“Global-scale forcing mechanisms today “include unprecedented rates and magnitudes of human population growth with attendant resource consumption, habitat transformation and fragmentation, energy production and consumption, and climate change,” says the study.

Human activity drives today’s global-scale forcing mechanisms more than ever before. As a result, the rate of climate change we are seeing now exceeds the rate that occurred during the extreme planetary state change that tipped Earth from being in a glacial to an interglacial state 12,000 years ago. You have to go back to the end of the cataclysmic falling star, which ended the age of dinosaurs, to find a previous precedent."

Bernie Kerik says Hello.......

" ABC News reported the alleged discovery of the Suqami passport on September 12. Days later other outlets such as CNN on September 16 and 17 reported that Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik had said on Sunday (the 16th) that a passport belonging to one of the hijackers was discovered a few days ago by a passer-by, several blocks from the crash site.

The FBI would not release the name on this mystery passport, leading to speculation that a second passport had been found at the WTC ruins. Some reports (e.g. the Guardian) claimed that it belonged to Mohamed Atta, the infamous ringleader.

Other reports had it that a passport was found "in the vicinity of Vesey Street", or rescue workers sifting through the tons of rubble found a passport belonging to one of the suspected hijackers a few blocks from where the twin towers once stood (BBC). The 9-11 commission report claims that Suqami's Saudi passport was picked up by a passer-by and given to a NYPD detective shortly before the WTC towers collapsed. This concurs with the CBS News report of Suqami's passport's discovery on the ground minutes after his plane Flight 11 hit the North Tower.

So we have "in the vicinity of Vesey Street", "several blocks" from the crash site, "a few blocks" from the crash site. The problem is, these are either in the wrong direction, or are the wrong distance. The Vesey Street or front of 7WTC claims have the passport travelling in exactly the wrong direction, and it seems whoever made this up forgot which flight Suqami was supposed to be on.

AA Flight 11's impact with the northeast facade was almost dead centre, and the building's core absorbed much of the aircraft. Some of the densest parts from AA Flights 11 and 175, such as landing gear and an engine, passed right through the Towers and were found several blocks away from the crash site. The vast majority of the debris remained in the Towers, and there were no other reports of parts bouncing back.

LEAD

"6 years later, Pilsen lot remains contaminated with lead By Michael Hawthorne, Chicago Tribune reporter | November 23, 2012 Federal and state officials have known for more than six years about hazardous levels of brain-damaging lead in a vacant lot near Walsh Elementary School in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood. Yet even after field investigators raised alarms about children possibly inhaling or ingesting contaminated soil, the half-acre lot hasn't been fenced off or cleaned up. Nor have government officials posted signs warning residents in the low-income, largely Latino neighborhood that...

"In a 2000 paper (PDF) he concluded that if you add a lag time of 23 years, lead emissions from automobiles explain 90 percent of the variation in violent crime in America. Toddlers who ingested high levels of lead in the '40s and '50s really were more likely to become violent criminals in the '60s, '70s, and '80s.

And with that we have our molecule: tetraethyl lead, the gasoline additive invented by General Motors in the 1920s to prevent knocking and pinging in high-performance engines."

www.motherjones.com/envir.../lead-crime-link-gasoline

" — May 20 — US Public Health Service holds conference to discuss viewpoints on Ethyl controversy and appoints blue-ribbon committee to conduct independent inquiry. Alice Hamilton and others insist that alternative anti-knock compounds are available, but consideration of alternatives is suspended as conference is cut back from two to three days to only one day. According to a 1950 memoir by T.A. Boyd, a confrontation between Hamilton and Kettering took place in a hallway during the conference recess, in which Hamilton privately said to Kettering: “You are nothing but a murderer” and “There are thousands of things better than lead to put in gasoline.” Kettering laughs at Hamilton.

Frank Howard of Standard Oil says: “As a result of 10 years research … we have this apparent gift of God of three cubic centimeters of tetraethyl lead… It would be an unheard-of blunder if we should abandon a thing of this kind merely because of our fears.” Responding to Howard was Grace Burnham, director of the Workers Health Bureau, who pointed out that tetraethyl lead “was not a gift of God when those … men were killed or 149 men were poisoned.”

“So Many People Died” The American System of Suffering, 1965-2014 By Nick Turse

Pham To looked great for 78 years old. (At least, that’s about how old he thought he was.) His hair was thin, gray, and receding at the temples, but his eyes were lively and his physique robust — all the more remarkable given what he had lived through. I listened intently, as I had so many times before to so many similar stories, but it was still beyond my ability to comprehend. It’s probably beyond yours, too.

Pham To told me that the planes began their bombing runs in 1965 and that periodic artillery shelling started about the same time. Nobody will ever know just how many civilians were killed in the years after that.

In fact, this has happened before.

As I have written about previously, during the presidency of JFK a limited number of debt-free United States Notes were issued by the U.S. Treasury and spent by the U.S. government directly into circulation without any new debt being created. In fact, each bill said "United States Note" right at the top.

Unfortunately, after JFK's presidency no more debt-free United States Notes were ever issued."

Mauritania: a history marked by political instability

Internally, Mauritania is characterized by chronic political instability. From 1978, the year in which President Mokhtar Ould Daddah was deposed by the military, the country lived through 13 coups d’état or attempted coups d’état before its first free, lawful, multiparty presidential election in early 2007 (Fichter, 2007, p. 17).

The presidency of Sidi Mohamed Ould Cheikh Abdallahi, how ever, was brutally interrupted on 6 August 2008

by another coup d’état, which terminated the country’s first experience of democracy and brought the head of the presidential guard, Gen. Mohammed Ould Abdelaziz, to power. After a year during which his power was disputed, Abdelaziz won the presidential election on 18 July 2009,

which confirmed his legitimacy as the head of state (see Table 1).

Israel and 9/11....

"Did the Israeli nationals have foreknowledge of the events at WTC and were they filming the events prior to and in anticipation of the explosion?" The fact that it's blanked out indicates that the answer is clearly not an emphatic "no".

Nonetheless, the material that has already been released is sufficient to prove that the Israelis did indeed have foreknowledge of the attacks on the WTC. That is of course consistent with Israel's capability and history of staging false-flag terror, the two hours' advance warning of the WTC attack transmitted via the Herzliya / New York-based Israeli instant messaging service Odigo, the failure of Benjamin Netanyahu's friend Larry Silverstein and his children to turn up for work that day at the World Trade Center, Netanyahu's advance warning of, and Efraim Halevy's intimate knowledge of, the London 7/7 attacks, the $250,000 "loan" received by Bernard Kerik from Israeli billionaire Eitan Wertheimer together with $236,000 in rent paid by Steven C. Witkoff after Kerik visited Israel from August 26-29, 2001 to meet with Wertheimer and then claimed on September 16, 2001 that a "hijacker's passport" had been "discovered", along with multiple corroborating evidence much too numerous to mention in an introduction."

The logistic map: (a) As r increases from 2 to 4 the attracting final state is initially a single curve ( an equilibrium point for each r ) but then it repeatedly subdivides (pitchfork bifurcations) to make a rich and lean year (period 2) then periods 4, 8 etc., finally entering chaos (stippled bands). Subsequently there are windows of period 3, 5 etc. with abrupt transitions to and from chaos. The Lyapunov exponent indicates whether the system is chaotically amplifying small differences. During chaos it remains positive. The Mandelbrot set illustrates the fractal nature of the ordered and chaotic regimes when x and r are extended to the complex number plane. (b) A series of 2-D views of the iteration, including periods 1, 2 and 8 chaos, intermittency, and period 3. Pick an initial value x and find y by moving vertically to the curve y = r x (1 - x). Next we let the new x = y by moving horizontally to the sloping line. The two steps result in one iteration, i.e. xn+1 = y = r xn (1 - xn). (c) The non-escaping points form a disconnected repelling fractal for r = 4.5. The attracting final set has now broken up, resulting in a fractal Julia set. (d) A connected Julia set for the complex logistic [x-axis vertical] plotted by inverse iteration taking all the 2n square root solutions of the inverse function

IMG] />

At this point, a new erratic behaviour emerges, and the system wanders with no fixed period. chaos has appeared. All of the previous periodic attractors continue to exist hidden in the chaos as repellers, generating a tangled repelling flow, whose spreading causes sensitive dependence. As r increases further, windows of order, with new periods appear in a new and abrupt type of transition from chaos to order. There is yet a third type of chaotic transition represented by the mode-locked periodic feedback, as in the heart pacemaker and rotations on the periodic spirals of the Mandelbrot set illustrated below.

A portion of the Mandelbrot set of the logistic map. The fractal displays all possible quadratic dynamics. Although these vary and it is thus not exactly self-similar, it is nevertheless a fractal.

Finally a new situation emerges. The attractor becomes unstable. All that is left is a residual set of points, which do not escape, but are mapped chaotically among themselves.
What is the Difference Between Entrained Air and Cavitation? Along with entrained air, cavitation is a top candidate for causing pump problems. Cavitation occurs when the pump’s internal pressures are lower than the vapor pressure of the liquid which results in rapid vapor formation within the pump which collapse as the liquid is swept into the higher pressure regions of the pump. The cavitation effect may cause material damage to the impeller and possibly casing, which is resultant of the sudden formation and implosion of vapor bubbles.

For reasons already presented in Part 1, I believe that per capita consumption rate is an important indicator of the direction and magnitude of economic growth/de-growth, and, that below a certain low level or per capita consumption (e.g., less than 1 barrel of petroleum per person per year, b/py) the petroleum driven food production system of a region starts to decline, along with a concurrent and proportional an increase in starvation and death in that region. In particular, my thesis is that that the extent of population decline is in direct proportion to that needed to keep per capita consumption at 1 b/py, until the population drops to its pre-petroleum era population, which I have assumed to equal that region’s population in 1900.
MEXICO CITY February 1, 2013 (AP)

An explosion at the main headquarters of Mexico's state-owned oil company in the capital Thursday left at least several workers injured, blew out windows and damaged the building, the company said.

Local media reported that at least one person had died and that about 40 were injured. View Full Size PHOTO: Firefighters search for survivors Guillermo Gutierrez/AP Photo Firefighters and workers dig for survivors after an explosion at an adjacent building to the executive tower of Mexico's state-owned oil company PEMEX, in Mexico City, Jan. 31, 2013.

Petroleos Mexicanos, or Pemex, said workers have been evacuated from the building. A reporter at the scene saw rescue workers trying to free several workers trapped. Television images showed people being evacuated on office chairs, and gurneys. Most of them showed injuries likely caused by falling debris.

Pemex said in a Tweet that several workers were injured in the blast but no one answered at its offices.

In an earlier Tweet, the company said it had evacuated the building because of problems with the electricity in its administrative skyscraper.

"A government official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said preliminary findings suggested the blast was caused by aged boiler exploding in a Pemex building next to the tower, Reuters reported.

"Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto arrived at the Pemex administration complex by helicopter Thursday night to supervise rescue operations, Pemex and the news agency La Prensa reported. Hundreds of Mexican military forces were sent to the complex to "preserve security," officials told newspaper El Universal.

"Sánchez said as many as 30 people remained trapped in the debris Thursday. Search-and-rescue dogs were sent into the skyscraper, parts of which remained on fire at 10 p.m. ET, cloaking the Mexico City skyline in a thick cloud of smoke, Telemundo reported.

The main floor and the mezzanine of the auxiliary building were heavily damaged, along with windows as far as three floors up.

"Pemex initially said the building had been evacuated because of a problem with its electricity supply. It then said there had been an explosion, but it didn't give the cause."

From the Two Gas Plant Explosion links above:

"Pemex Director Juan Jose Suarez said that there was "no evidence that it was a deliberate incident, or some kind of attack".

Company officials said that maintenance work had been carried out on the plant just minutes prior to the explosion.

President Calderon praised the emergency workers, who he said had managed to contain the fire before it could spread to the massive tanks of a neighbouring gas processing plant.

There have been several fires at Mexican refineries over the past month.

While investigations into those blazes have not yet concluded, preliminary evidence suggests they could have been caused by thieves tapping the lines to steal petrol."

BANAMEX:

"Journalist Ed Vulliamy informed us that the authors of that report provide compelling evidence that "financial regulators in the west are reluctant to go after western banks in pursuit of the massive amount of drug money being laundered through their systems."

Indeed, at the height of the global financial crisis Antonio Maria Costa, then the head of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime told The Observer "he has seen evidence that the proceeds of organised crime were 'the only liquid investment capital' available to some banks on the brink of collapse last year. He said that a majority of the $352bn (£216bn) of drugs profits was absorbed into the economic system as a result."

"In many instances," Costa said, "the money from drugs was the only liquid investment capital. In the second half of 2008, liquidity was the banking system's main problem and hence liquid capital became an important factor."

The document went on to assert that before becoming a key U.S. "partner in the drug war," and rewarded with some $3 billion under Plan Colombia to "fight drugs," Uribe "was linked to a business involved in narcotics activities in the United States" and "has worked for the Medellín cartel."

Although the U.S. government disavowed that report, for purely political reasons I might add, several members of Uribe's family, including the president's cousin, Mario Uribe Escobar, the former President of the Colombian Congress, was convicted and removed from office over his close ties to the far-right, drug trafficking paramilitary death squad, the Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia, or AUC.

Pedro Alatorre Damy

Zambada Niebla, extradited to the US in February 2010 and now facing narco-trafficking charges in federal court in Chicago, claims in pleadings in his case that the US government entered into a pact with the leadership of the Mexican Sinaloa narco-trafficking organization that supposedly provide its chief narcos with immunity in exchange for them providing US authorities with information that could be used to target other narco-trafficking organizations.

The US government, in pleadings filed in the case this past July and again this past Friday, denies that Zambada Niebla was granted immunity by any law enforcement agency for the narco-trafficking crimes spelled out in the indictment against him. Those same pleadings do not broach the topic of whether he, or his Sinaloa organization associates, might have had a cooperative relationship with US intelligence agencies, such as the CIA.

Former deep undercover DEA agent Mike Levine describes the scenario apparently playing out in the Zambada Niebla case this way:

This is very typical of DEA infighting with CIA involvement, especially the, well, clumsy stupidity of the whole thing. Of course [Loya Castro] would be meeting with the Sinaloa guys even though he was a known snitch, simply because it is now a respected sport among big bad guys to "play" the US government for their (the cartel's) own advantage. If you are killing the opposition, why not rat on them? [Boston organized crime leader] Whitey Bulger did it successfully for the FBI for decades….

Playing the informant game with our government is now a win-win gambit for every bad guy on the globe. … Don't miss the trees for the forest. If it's weird, sounds like a grade Z movie and is handled in a clumsy, obvious way, it's CIA [behind the curtain pulling the levers]....

"The former federal agent who spoke with Narco News about the Zambada Niebla case, and who asked not to be named, says that in CIPA cases, individuals are often brought in by the government who have “particular specialties, like defending CIA interests.”

“Find out what other similar cases they have handled,” the source adds. “Sometimes these answer can be very telling.”

In the CIPA filing made by the US government in the Zambada Niebla case, prosecutors ask that the judge appoint “Daniel Hartenstine, Security Specialist, to serve in the position of classified information security officer in this matter.”

However, unless Suárez Coppel obtained an iron-clad promise from President Felipe Calderón that he can work without interference, there's little reason to believe he'll enjoy any more success than his predecessor, experts say. In his annual State of the Union address last week, Calderón pledged to push through a fresh set of reforms aimed at strengthening Pemex, the government's largest single source of tax revenue. "We must take profound [reforms] and move quickly," he said.

Reyes Heroles, 57, a politically savvy economist who served as ambassador to the U.S. in the late 1990s, officially "resigned" to make way for Suárez Coppel, 50, a University of Chicago-trained economist. He is expected to take dramatic steps in an effort to stem losses at Petroleos Mexicanos, where production dropped 7.3% in the first half of the year and revenues plummeted 30%. On Sept. 7, Calderon praised Reyes Heroles for helping to win passage of the "historic" reforms Congress approved in 2008, measures which the President said would put Pemex "on the path to once again becoming … one of the most important oil companies in the world." He also said that Suárez Coppel's task would be to "transform Pemex profoundly, to its roots."

Having served as Pemex's chief financial officer from 2001 to 2006, Suárez Coppel knows the company's numbers well. But he also knows that his ability to turn Pemex's fortunes around will be limited by the fact that the company doesn't operate autonomously; it is subject to budgetary and spending decisions dictated by the finance and energy ministries and by Congress. Even Pemex's divisional chiefs of exploration and refining are named not by the CEO, but by President Calderón, notes George Baker, an energy analyst in Houston. "The head of Pemex really has very little authority, so it's not clear how much this change in CEOs will mean," Baker says.

Zambada Niebla, as the US government-described “logistics coordinator” for the Sinaloa organization, is linked to alleged Sinaloa organization money-launderer Pedro Alfonso Alatorre Damy via a Gulfstream II jet (tail number N987SA) that crashed in Mexico in late 2007 with some four tons of cocaine onboard.

That aircraft was allegedly purchased with Sinaloa organization drug money laundered through Alatorre Damy’s casa de cambio business and a U.S. bank. And that same aircraft was reportedly suspected of being used previously as part of the CIA’s “terrorist” rendition program and allegedly made a number of trips to Guantanamo Bay between 2003 and 2005, according to media reports and an investigation spearheaded by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

In addition, the Gulfstream II was purchased less than two weeks before it crashed in Mexico by a duo that included a U.S. government operative who allegedly had done past contract work for a variety of US law enforcement and intelligence agencies, according to a known CIA asset (Baruch Vega) who is identified as such in public court records. The four tons of cocaine onboard of the Gulfstream II at the time of its crash landing, according Vega, was purchased in Colombia via a syndicate that included a Colombian narco-trafficker named Nelson Urrego, who, according to Panamanian press reports and Vega, is a U.S. government (CIA) asset.

On board, they found 128 identical black suitcases "packed with 5.7 tons of cocaine, valued at $100 million. The stash was supposed to have been delivered from Caracas to drug traffickers in Toluca, near Mexico City, Mexican prosecutors later found. Law enforcement officials also discovered something else."

"The smugglers," Smith wrote, "had bought the DC-9 with laundered funds they transferred through two of the biggest banks in the U.S.: Wachovia Corp. and Bank of America Corp."

But in breaking that story six years ago, (long before Bloomberg and The Observer joined the hunt), Hopsicker revealed that "One of the two owners of the DC-9 (tail number N900SA) busted at an airport in Ciudad del Carmen in the state of Campeche, Mexico last week freighted 5.5 tons of cocaine had been appointed in 2003 to the Business Advisory Council of the National Republican Congressional Committee by then-Congressional Majority Leader Tom Delay, The MadCow Morning News can exclusively report."

That plane, Hopsicker disclosed, was tricked-out by owner Brent Kovar to impersonate a jet flown by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration. An official-looking seal read "Sky Way Aircraft, Protection of America's Skies," complete with the "image of a federal eagle clutching the familiar olive branch in its talons."

And when he searched FAA and corporate records, Hopsicker learned that "A close look at [shell company] Royal Sons reveals evidence indicating that the firm is part of a cluster of related air charter firms being used as dummy front companies to provide 'cover' for CIA flights."

"The companies involved," Hopsicker averred, "include Royal Sons, Express One International, Genesis Aviation and United Flite Inc."

Subsequent reporting by Hopsicker revealed that the second plane, a Gulfstream II business jet (N987SA) which crash landed on the Yucatán peninsula in 2007 with four tons of coke on board, was registered to a "Donna Blue Aircraft, Inc." (DBA, or "doing business as") and was previously employed as a "private charter" that did "terrorist" rendition flights for, who else, the CIA!

As Narco News journalist Bill Conroy revealed in 2008, "At the center of that controversy are allegations that the downed cocaine jet was part of a CIA-backed narco-trafficking operation."

According to Conroy, the "key to the ill-fated Gulfstream II cocaine shipment is a prolific Colombian narco-trafficker and U.S. government informant named Jose Nelson Urrego Cardenas--who was recently arrested by police in Panama. Urrego allegedly played a major role in organizing the cocaine shipment as part of [Immigration and Customs Enforcement's] Mayan Express operation."

Back or Sideways to Juan Jose Suarez Coppel:

"Suárez Coppel, who served as chief of advisors to the Finance Secretary under former Mexican President Vicente Fox, was brought in to improve those efficiencies. But he doesn't have a long track record of success: His most recent job in the private sector, as chief financial officer of Mexican beer brewer Grupo Modelo, ended in July after the company suffered big losses on foreign currency derivatives.

He faces even bigger challenges at Pemex, whose proven oil reserves are expected to last only another nine years. Some experts believe that Mexico, which is one of the top three oil suppliers to the U.S., could become a net oil importer within the decade.

Despite facts laid out in Zambada's federal indictment "the alleged deal," Conroy wrote, "assured protection for the Sinaloa Cartel's business operations while also undermining its competition--such as the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes organization out of Juárez, Mexico, the murder capital of the world."

"The alleged deal," Conroy averred, "assured protection for the Sinaloa Cartel's business operations while also undermining its competition--such as the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes organization out of Juárez, Mexico, the murder capital of the world."

"At the same time," Narco News reported, "the information provided by the Sinaloa Cartel to US agencies against its rivals assures a steady flow of drug busts and media victory headlines for US agencies and for the Mexican government."

Conroy pointed out, "That propaganda is necessary for hoodwinking their citizens into believing that progress is being made in the drug war and thereby assuring the continued funding of bloated drug-war budgets and support for failed policies that have cost the lives of some 50,000 Mexican citizens since late 2006 and ended any hope of a productive life for hundreds of thousands of US citizens--most wasting away in US prisons and not a small number the victims of street homicides linked to drug deals gone bad."

Amongst the swindlers who have profited from cosy relations with the Agency, readers no doubt are reminded of Paul Helliwell's Castle Bank Bank & Trust; Michael Hand, Frank Nugan and Bernie Houghton's Nugan-Hand Bank; Agha Hasan Abedi's Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI); or more recently, as Antifascist Calling disclosed two years ago, convicted fraudster R. Allen Stanford's multibillion dollar Ponzi scheme disguised as a "full-service bank," Stanford International.

That all four banks collapsed in ignominy and scandal as investors were bilked out of billions of dollars in deposits amid charges that these financial black holes were little more than conduits for organized crime and intelligence operations, only underscores the inescapable fact that for secret state outfits like the CIA, crime pays."

"It's an extension of the way they operate at home," Mejía said. "Go after the lower classes, the weak link in the chain--the little guy, to show results. Again, transferring the cost of the drug war on to the poorest, but not the financial system and the big business that moves all this along."

According to Scott, this global criminal-elite nexus "maintains its own political influence by the systematic supply of illicit finances, favors and even sex to politicians around the world, including leaders of both parties in the United States. The result is a system that might be called indirect empire, one that, in its search for foreign markets and resources, is satisfied to subvert existing governance without imposing a progressive alternative."

Scott's analysis has certainly been borne out by honest law enforcement officials.

Martin Woods, a former senior detective with London's Metropolitan police anti-drugs squad joined Wachovia in 2005 as the bank's chief anti-money laundering investigator and paid a steep price for his diligence.

Hounded out of his position when he refused to stop filing suspicious activity reports to headquarters in Charlotte over dubious deposit practices by Wachovia branches in London and Miami, Woods told The Observer: "New York and London have become the world's two biggest laundries of criminal and drug money, and offshore tax havens. Not the Cayman Islands, not the Isle of Man or Jersey. The big laundering is right through the City of London and Wall Street."

"Meanwhile," Woods said, "the drug industry has two products: money and suffering. On one hand, you have massive profits and enrichment. On the other, you have massive suffering, misery and death. You cannot separate one from the other."

With hundreds of billions of dollars washing through the system each and every year, there aren't many incentives to collar the big boys. And you can take that to the bank...

by Dow Jones Newswires | Ben Winkley | Thursday, January 31, 2013

LONDON - The extent of the oil-production outage that contributed to tipping the U.K. economy into a fourth-quarter contraction was laid bare Thursday, as official statistics showed production of crude fell nearly 30% in the three months to November.

" And the working class are thinking to-day more than ever before. And, thinking, they begin to see that hand-clapping, fife-playing, drum-beating and buncombe from a prostituted orator are neither freedom nor justice, nor even the sign of such; but are, rather, just what Mark Twain called them* —a "bastard patriotism."

The motive of the young men who voluntarily join the army or the militia is possibly, in many cases, a good motive. Perhaps they do not see the tricks of the string-pullers behind the scenes, the powerful motives of the industrial masters be-hind the curtains.

Like hungry wolves hotly eager in sight of prey, like clouds of vultures swooping confidently over a field strewn with a vile feast—thus the capitalist nations are gathering together their drums, their rifles, cannon, dynamite,. lyddite, embalmed beef, hospitals, soldiers, marines, battleships, and boat-de-stroyers, preparing to assemble for bloody struggles.

There is talk of peace—but preparation for war.

Lift up your meek faces, you tricked toilers of the world. The war trenches are yawning for your lives—a gulf in which the hopes, the happiness, the blood and the tears of your class will be swallowed.

Refuse.

When you understand, brothers, you will defend yourselves.

The day is dawning when the working class will not only shrewdly refuse to be tricked to the trenches, but will also proudly seize all the powers of government in defense of the working class. The working class must defend the working class. The state, the school, the press, the lecture platform, and even part of the church, all these powerful institutions, are at present used to fasten and hold the burdens of toil and the curse of war on the backs of the brutalized and despised working-class producers and the working-class destroyers.

It is our move, brothers. Have we sense enough for self-defense?

Jewnopoly.

Jews have no problem with Gays. Why should anyone here disagree with that position.

" From the brilliant mind of Noor at "Snippits and Snappits blog.

Jewnopoly is played on many levels, as evidenced by the ZOG owned psyops industry called Hollywood, a land of smoke and shadows that never tires of putting out mind-numbing holocau$t movies, 178 to date and that doesn't include documentaries or endless 'TalmudVision' outlets like the 'Hitler Channel,' uh, excuse me, the History Channel, which produces endless amounts propaganda, lining up Iran, Mali, Niger, Syria etc. for the next 'Shock and Awe' campaign waged by GOYIM troops, fighting and dying to keep Apartheid Israel safe from reality and to keep their brethren at the numerous Federal Reserve type of banks safe, by ensuring that the ZOG banking fronts are filled with gold.

The 1990's was a BIG year for holocau$t movies, priming the gullible GOYIM for the 9/11 FALSE FLAG/INSIDE JOB. And a BIG year for holocau$t docs. Gotta keep the sheeple on message with a steady stream of holocau$t themed movies or ones showing Arabs/Muslims/Persians wanting to kill Americans.

DreamWorks’ WikiLeaks Movie A “Massive Propaganda Attack”

The movie, the “The Fifth Estate" is being filmed by "DreamWorks," a Holocau$tland Jewish run movie factory founded by Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen, who would love for the USA to fight another war to protect their "shitty little country," Apartheid Israel."

The cool SSTs in the eastern Pacific initiate and reinforce air circulations that generally keep precipitation away from the Southwest and Midwest US. This doesn’t mean that drought will be ever-present; only that we are potentially forcing the climate system toward more frequent drought conditions in these regions. Some years will still be wet or normal; other years (increasing in number) will be dry.

An Associated Press (AP) article today provided details:

"The real story is what's missing," said Jesse Trentadue, a Salt Lake City attorney who obtained the recordings. "Four cameras in four different locations going blank at basically the same time on the morning of April 19, 1995. There ain't no such thing as a coincidence," Trentadue said.

"The interesting thing is they spring back on after 9:02," he said. "The absence of footage from these crucial time intervals is evidence that there is something there that the FBI doesn't want anybody to see." The FBI in the past refused to release the security camera recordings, leading Trentadue and others to contend the government was hiding evidence that others were involved in the attack. "It's taken a lawsuit and years to get the tapes," Trentadue said.

Trentadue's brother Kenneth died in the Oklahoma City bombing, possibly murdered by officials who mistook him for the bomber. As stated in the AP article, "A judge in 2001 awarded Kenneth Trentadue's family $1.1 million for extreme emotional distress in the government's handling of his death." This lead the deceased's brother Jesse to search deeper into the bombing, where he came up with lots more evidence that did not match the official story. "

Cutting to the Chase.

Operation Bojinka was part and parcel of Operation Cyclone.

Which led to the 93 WTC Bombing.

Then the New and improved Murrah Building Bombing. Good but not good enough.

So next Nairobi. And that's better.

We're ready for 9/11....Combo of Operation Bojinka and Nairobi.

And here you go. EXACTLY as TARIQ AZIZ said.

The USSA SHIPPED YASIN to IRAQ where he was IMMEDIATELY ARRESTED.

Tower of the World Trade Center killed six people and left a crater six stories deep. It could have been much worse. In her book, "The War Against America: Saddam Hussein and the World Trade Center Attacks," Laurie Mylroie says that the bomb was designed to topple the North Tower into the South Tower and envelop the scene in a cloud of cyanide gas. Hearing the case, Judge Kevin Duffy agreed, saying that if the plan had worked, "we would have been dealing with tens of thousands of deaths." After the bombing, the FBI rounded up four Muslims who moved in extremist circles in the New York area. Three others escaped overseas: a Palestinian, an Iraqi named Abdul Yasin, and Ramzi Yousef.

Ms. Mylroie's book argues that Iraq was complicit in this attack. At the very least, she notes, Saddam Hussein is harboring a wanted terrorist: Abdul Yasin. He came to the U.S. six months before the Trade Center attack and is charged with helping mix chemicals for the bomb. Picked up in an early sweep after the bombing, he talked his way out of an FBI interrogation and turned up back in Baghdad.

MYLROIE's job is to implicate SADDAM via YASIN.

Which is why WOOLSEY has a HARD ON for both DAVIS & MYLROIE.....

After fleeing in the wake of the 1993 bombing, Yousef/Basit made his way to the Philippines, where he planted a bomb that killed the passenger taking his seat after he disembarked from a plane on the island of Cebu. Police investigating a fire in a Manila apartment he occupied found a laptop computer with plans to bomb 12 U.S. jets simultaneously. Yousef escaped but was later apprehended in Pakistan and turned over to U.S. authorities. He was convicted in both the Trade Center attack and the plane-bombing plot.

One of Yousef's confederates, Abdul Hakin Murad, was arrested at the Manila apartment and later convicted in the U.S. in the plane plot. While in custody in the Philippines, he told investigators that he and Yousef had discussed hijacking a jet and crashing it into CIA headquarters. According to a January 1995 Manila police report, Murad said "he will board any American commercial aircraft pretending to be an ordinary passenger. Then he will hijack said aircraft, control its cockpit and dive it at the CIA headquarters. There will be no bomb or any explosive that he will use in its execution. It is simply a suicidal mission that he is very much willing to execute."

WTF!?

Who in their right mind would do this!?

Yousef told Scarpa that Osama bin Laden was known as Bojinga, as distinguished from the scheme to place bombs on 11 airliners that was called Bojinka. During one phone call through Roma Corporation, Yousef, talking in coded message, discussed the bombing of a U.S. airliner. A month later, TWA Flight 800 blew up shortly after taking off from New York’s JFK Airport.

No! I'm Not talking about Blowing up planes and Crashing them into Buildings. I'm talking about Osama Bin Laden!

LMFAO.....This would be StoryLine #2, the FBI/CIA KeystoneAgent ProvocateurCops.

WE DID 9/11

One note on one of the boxes read, “We had to thoroughly demoralize the enemies of God. This is to be done by means of destroying and blowing up the towers that constitute the pillars of their civilization, such as the tourist attractions they're so proud of and the high buildings they're so proud of.” In fact, a law enforcement official told the Los Angeles Times in 1993 that the materials “described major conspiracies and provided a road map to the bombing of the World Trade Center and the subsequent plot.” All that rhetoric and no response? FBI, shame on you again.

I've never heard this before, about the bombs being found.

And Nichols was NOT in the Ryder truck.

Jon Doe #2 was.....;}

" Worse, could it be that what was really emerging was a pattern of false flag attacks on the US, going forward to the Oklahoma City bombings of the Murrah Building on April 19, 1995? That bloody catastrophe was supposedly caused by a Ryder Truck containing an ANFO bomb, driven there by two lone gunmen, Timothy McVeigh, executed for it by lethal injection June 11, 2001, and Terry Nichols later jailed for life for it. As of November 8, 2006, Nichols was still trying to blow the whistle on the FBI's involvement in it and being denied access to reporters.

Also, first responders that awful day found two other live bombs and the remains of an exploded bomb. The live bombs were at each end of the building and subsequently removed and defused. The exploded bomb in the middle of the building was the one that caused the major damage and murder. The ANFO truck-bomb blow-up was basically a ruse.

an AP story titled Gov't Log Details Oklahoma City (BOMBING Surveillance Tape) Footage: "Security video tapes from the area show the truck detonation 3 minutes and 6 seconds after the suspects exited the truck," the Secret Service reported six days after the attack on a log of agents' activities and evidence in the Oklahoma investigation.”

An OKC AP reporter Paul Qaery wrote of his interview with a federal law enforcement official who told Qaery that he had viewed a surveillance tape of the Ryder truck when it was parked in front of the Hurrah building. The tape referred to by the federal law enforcement source very likely would have been the same tape described by the Secret Service log because the source in Qaery’s story gives the same time given by the log, THREE MINUTES BEFORE the truck bomb exploded.

Qaery’s AP story was picked up and republished on page A4 of the Kansas City Star on October 28, 1995 in the article entitled “Camera saw figure in bomb truck, Oklahoma City video is unclear, but it may show John Doe No. 2”

But the Secret Service log reported on April 24 and April 25, 1995, that there was security footage showing the Ryder truck pulling up to the Murrah building. The log does not say where such video came from or who possessed it.

A log entry on April 25 states that the security footage allowed agents to determine the time that elapsed between suspects leaving the truck and the explosion.

An entry a day earlier on the same log reported that the security video was consistent with a witness' account that he saw McVeigh's getaway car in the lead before a woman guided the truck to its final parking spot in front of the Murrah building.

"A witness to the explosion named Grossman claimed to have seen a pale yellow Mercury car with a Ryder truck behind it pulling up to the federal building," the log said. The witness "further claimed to have seen a woman on the corner waving to the truck."

New documents obtained by AP show the Secret Service provided prosecutors other evidence that may not have been provided to defense lawyers, including a file showing the Secret Service agent who reconstructed crucial phone evidence against McVeigh was subjected to an internal affairs investigation and eventually cleared for her conduct in the case.

FBI officials say that file details allegations the agent wrongly collected grand jury-subpoenaed phone information about McVeigh's calls without FBI knowledge, and kept it for weeks while she produced analysis that helped the investigation.

The internal investigation caused complications for prosecutors. They decided it tainted the agent as a witness and they chose instead to hire an outside expert to re-do the phone analysis for trial, officials said.

Bopp said the Secret Service did nothing wrong.

"The Secret Service worked cooperatively with the FBI and other federal state and local law enforcement throughout the investigation," Bopp said. "The expertise of the Secret Service on electronic crimes and telecommunications provided unique and timely information to the ongoing investigation."

"There's a shape in there, but they can't see a face,'' the source said of footage, which was taken by a camera on a nearby apartment building. The camera picked up the shadowy passenger about THREE MINUTES before the bomb went off April 19 at the Murrah Federal Building."

What makes the existence of the surveillance tape plausible at one time (may have now been destroyed) is not only the precise times given, but also that a number of OKC bombing witnesses precisely corroborate what the Secret Service tape log described, namely that accomplices were helping McVeigh park his Ryder truck in front of the Murrah building. Here is more from the same article referenced above, “(Secret Service) Gov't Log Details Oklahoma City (BOMBING Surveillance Tape) Footage”:

“An entry a day earlier on the same (Secret Service) log reported that the security video was consistent with a witness' account that he saw McVeigh's getaway car in the lead before a woman guided the truck to its final parking spot in front of the Murrah building. A Secret Service agent named McNally "noted that this fact is significant due to the fact that the security video shows the Ryder truck pulling up to the Federal Building and then pausing (7 to 10 seconds) before resuming into the slot in front of the building," the log said. "It is speculated that the woman was signaling the truck when a slot became available."

Numerous witnesses also described two Middle Eastern men in a late model Brown Chevy truck with a bug shield parked in front of the Murrah building as McVeigh was parking the Ryder truck. Witness accounts have these two men also helping McVeigh. The brown Chevy truck and its drivers were the subject of an FBI APB for two weeks in OKC after the bombing.

Leah Moore photographed the brown Chevy and the Ryder truck in front of Murrah at the same time that the Secret Service tape log says McVeigh was being helped to park the Ryder truck. The FBI confiscated Moore’s photos and told her not to talk to a famous LA times reporter, Richard A. Serrano, who came to see Moore about the photos.

Dana Bradley testified in the Nichols federal trial that, while looking out of the Murrah Social Security office, Bradley saw a Middle Eastern looking man get out of the passenger side of the Ryder truck as it was parked in front of the Murrah building. KTOK radio reporter Carie Hulsey interviewed witnesses live at the scene within 5 minutes after the bombing who told the KTOK radio audience they had seen two Middle Eastern men running down the street and jump into the Brown Chevy a few minutes before the Ryder truck exploded.

The Middle Eastern looking men yelled at each other "lets hurry up and get out of here." The same Brown Chevy truck was spotted by witness Kay Herron a few blocks away and strongly identified one of the men inside the brown truck as McVeigh associate and FBI/CIA provocateur and informant, the Iraqi, Al Hussain Hussaini brought to OKC by HW Bush and CIA director James Woolsey after the first Gulf War. Woolsey is extremely close to Fox news and HW Bush and GW Bush. Hussaini was never interviewed by the FBI and disappeared while working at Boston Logan airport as a baggage handler up until the time of the 9-11 attacks.

Danny Wilkerson saw McVeigh outside of the Ryder truck when it was first parked in front of the Regency Towers. Wilkerson said that McVeigh was looking up the street toward the Murrah building waiting on a parking spot. Wilkinson has said that McVeigh came into his snack shop at the Regency Towers and that a John Doe was inside the Ryder truck when Wilkerson spoke to McVeigh and the Ryder truck was parked in front of the Regency Towers. A surveillance camera at the Regency towers recorded what Wilkinson saw and the FBI and DOJ have only released portions of this tape. The FBI and DOJ have excluded the portions showing McVeigh walking in front of the Ryder truck and the John Doe sitting on the passenger side of the truck.

The Fox producer Peter Russo also falsely characterized to me what defense Stephen Jones has said about not receiving ALL the surveillance tapes in the OKC bombing. Fox producers also rejected my attempts to get Fox to report that the DOJ and FBI refused to turn over surveillance tapes as described in a ruling by Federal judge Wayne Alley in a FOIA lawsuit brought by OKC attorney Mike Johnston and plaintiff David Hoffman.

Mike Johnston won a ruling from OKC Federal judge Alley sharply critical of the FBI, OKC bombing trial presiding federal judge Robert Matsch, and DOJ for their intentional refusal to turn over ALL surveillance tapes relevant to the OKC bombing, This was reported in this Daily Oklahoman article on August 16, 2001 by Robert Boczkiewicz entitled “District judge criticizes FBI for keeping bomb files secret “

TOLD U.....;}

According to The Mail story, Petraeus’s ousters were,’high-level career officers on the CIA who got the ball rolling on the investigation’. The Mail exclusive goes on to explain how the Petraeus story unfolded and triggered a ‘palace coup’: “The authors say that senior intelligence officers working on the 7th floor of Central Intelligence headquarters in Langley, Virginia, used their political clout to ensure that the FBI investigated the former Army general’s personal life. They then told Petraeus that they would publicly humiliate him if he didn’t admit the affair and resign. ‘It was well known to Petraeus’s Personal Security Detachment (bodyguards) that he and Broadwell were having an affair. He wasn’t the only high-ranking Agency head or general engaged in extramarital relations, but when the 7th floor wanted Petraeus out, they cashed in their chips,’ Webb and Murphy write. The book continues: ‘The reality of the situation is that high-ranking CIA officers had already discovered the affair by consulting with Petraeus’s PSD and then found a way to initiate an FBI investigation in order to create a string of evidence and an investigative trail that led to the information they already had—in other words, an official investigation that could be used to force Petraeus to resign.’ … Senior officials were furious over the way he had been running the agency since he was appointed in September 2011… He was turning the agency’s focus from intelligence gathering and analysis to paramilitary operations, including drone strikes.” What they reveal about the Petraeus scandal is that the sensational extramarital affair was deployed in the media in order to keep the public distracted from the real story

The LAPD Got their Man How They Wanted Him: Dead Wed, 02/13/2013 - 11:10 by: Dave Lindorff

"Burn that fuckin' house down...Fucking burn this motherfucker!!"

--Voices overheard on police radio at the scene of the cabin where Chris Dorner was trapped and burned to death

It was clear from the outset when fired LAPD cop Chris Dorner began wreaking his campaign of vengeance and terror against his former employer that the California law enforcement establishment, led by the LAPD itself, had no interest in Dorner surviving to face trial, where he could continue to rat out the racist and corrupt underbelly of the one of the country’s biggest police departments.

Dorner, as I wrote earlier, claimed he had been fired for speaking up during his three years on the force, through channels and to superior officers, about incidents he had witnessed of police brutality and of the rampant racism that permeates the department -- not just white on black, but black on Asian, Asian on Latino and Latino on white. His response to being sacked -- threatening to kill senior officers he blamed for this law enforcement distopia as well as some of their family members -- was criminally insane, but his complaints, made in a 6000-word post on Facebook, had and continue to have the ring of truth.

Looking at the major markets, only the UK posted growth (+11.5%), while downturn prevailed in Germany (-8.6%), Spain (-9.6%), France (-15.1%) and Italy (-17.6%). In absolute figures, Germany remained the largest market with 192,090 new registrations, followed by the UK (143,643 units), France (124,798) and Italy (113,525). Spain registered 49,671 new cars, which was slightly less than Belgium (50,684 units).

After falling to a 17-year low in 2012, European car demand is expected to contract further this year, squeezing mass-market brands still harder between excess capacity and cut-throat pricing. Most carmakers see the regional market shrinking between 3 and 5 percent in 2013.

Tentative hints of a broader euro zone economic upturn have yet to percolate to the car industry.

Germany in particular is weighing on the outlook. After resisting much of last year's slump, Europe's biggest car market is in sharp decline, extended by an 8.6 percent drop in January.

The goal was to keep the community’s money from getting siphoned off to Arkansas or China or Goldman-Sachistan; the more money that remains and circulates locally, the better off the whole community will be. Hand-in-hand with pursuing this goal was a nascent resurgence of local culture and civic engagement that could actually get most everyone on the same page.

5. 6. somebody

After the assassination, Dubai had copies of the passports but no direct proof that there was anything wrong with them. In particular, the Dubai authorities had no reason to suspect the Australian passports, not even part of the initial investigation, were part of a cache of iffy passports issued to members of the Melbourne Jewish community as part of an ongoing Mossad operation. When Zygier heard about the assassination, he knew immediately what had happened, and was probably outraged because the Mossad misled him about how the passports would be used (they probably told him it would be limited to economic sabotage against Iran), and how this might affect Jewish life in Australia (the combination of incompetence and sheer arrogance in the Mossad Dubai operation, together with the misuse of the passports, put the position of all Jews in Australia in question). Zygier went to the ASIO and told them about the passport gathering operation. Somebody in the ASIO told somebody in Dubai intelligence (almost certainly without permission, given how the ASIO has otherwise assisted the Mossad), and Dubai was able to put all the pieces of the assassination together. Alarms went off in the Mossad, and they immediately started an investigation about who told the ASIO, and Zygier was betrayed either by somebody in his family, somebody in the Jewish community, or by the ASIO itself. Zygier, unaware of the betrayal, returned voluntarily to Israel, where he was imprisoned, and later murdered, in order to prevent anybody from putting the pieces of the Mossad passport gathering operations together.

The Mossad's misleading timeline was used to prove that the issue couldn't be about the Dubai assassination, and an alternative Zionist theory was planted to presumably create doubts in Iran. In fact, the real timeline supports the thesis that Zygier was the source of the information that the Australian passports were dodgy, something Dubai could not possibly have otherwise known as they were real and legitimate Australian passports.

Why is this so important that Bibi has to go out of his way to misdirect us? It is not just the misuse of passports (though these revelations may put a crimp for now in their gathering and use). It is the fact that the entire Jewish state is founded on a series of false-flag operations.

In a 2000 paper (PDF) he concluded that if you add a lag time of 23 years, lead emissions from automobiles explain 90 percent of the variation in violent crime in America.

Fascinating. First time I've read of this; thanks.

What I find fascinating is this seems to have only happened to non-wite people living in America.

Kinda like it was only "inner city youts" that ate the paint off the walls in the government-provided housing they lived in.

What Americans Ideal Wealth distribution is.

What Americans Think the Wealth Distribution is.

What Americans Reality of the wealth distribution is.

The top 1 percent of Americans hold 50 percent of all investments in stocks and bonds, for example – while 80 percent of Americans share a paltry 7 percent of the nation’s wealth.

But most interesting are the gaps between where Americans think we are and where we really we are when it comes to wealth. A full 92 percent of Americans agree on what a healthy, ideal wealth distribution curve would look like — one that is far more equitable than what we think is the case. (“That is telling, admittedly,” says the narrator. “The fact that most Americans know that the system is already skewed unfairly.")

But this perceived gap between ideal and reality is pocket change compared with the true state of inequality – an ugly curve in which the poorest and middle class are a barely-indistinguishable line while the top 1 percent is, quite literally, off the charts.

When the tipping point occurs, it will be suddenly realized by all, that there will be no more reason to build roads, or fix existing roads, or build university buildings, or put braces on your kids teeth, etc. ALL perceptions of life-in-the-future will change, and most all economic activity that is deemed farther out than say, next week, will cease. Ninety nine year contracts will be a relic of a by-gone era; pensions and annuities will cease; cash will become king; and when that fails hard money will reign. When the public becomes fully aware of all the facts and the relevant conclusions to be derived from those facts, the phrase ‘new paradigm’ will have true meaning.

Most of us didn’t get the opportunity to learn any of this in high school, or to connect all the dots if we did study it, so it comes as a bit of a shock to most when they realize the implications of the principles and the facts. But the principles are founded on good biology, good geology and good economics. The facts are available if any choose to peruse them.

“It will be in no one’s best interest to factually report the reality of the decline of fossil fuels once it begins in earnest.”

Looking for winter weirdness 6

Jetstreammarch2013I wasn't expecting another instalment in this year's series of blog posts on Winter Weirdness, extreme weather events that could be linked to the decline in Arctic sea ice. It's not even winter anymore officially. But as spring has been revoked in large parts of Europe, and the atmospheric blocking that is causing it is being linked to Arctic sea ice as a potential cause, I figure it's a fitting end for the series.

One of the first articles alluding to the link, appeared on the Guardian's website on Monday: Scientists link frozen spring to dramatic Arctic sea ice loss. Stefan Rahmstorf, professor of Physics of the Oceans at Potsdam University, went further, writing a blog post showing the similarities between the current event and modeled projections in recent research that investigated the influence of Arctic sea ice loss on atmospheric patterns. Lepus Universalis Eli Rabett was so kind as to translate Rahmstorf's blog post to English:
