Title: LEFTY: "Clint Eastwood Loses His Mind In Front Of RNC Crowd "[VIDEO]

Clint Eastwood's heart may have been in the right place, when he accepted the invitation to speak at the Republican National Convention, Thursday (Aug. 30), but his mind was clearly somewhere else. Possibly at home with his daughters telling a story about "the good old days," because from the sounds of it, that's exactly what he thought he was doing.

Rather than firing up the crowd for Mitt Romney's acceptance speech, Eastwood confused and amused all while his chair (holding an invisible President Obama) taunted him in the distance.

The 82-year-old stopped in the middle of his speech several times, and turned to hold an intimate conversation with the chair, eliciting more nervous laughter from the audience. At one point, he slammed Obama for being a lawyer, apparently forgetting that Romney also went to Harvard Law School.

"I never thought it was a good idea for attorneys to be presidents anyway. I think it's maybe time for, maybe a uh, business man, how about that? A stellar business man. Quote on quote 'a stellar businessman,'" Eastwood rambled.

Although he was met with cheers (again, from utter confusion), veteran news anchor Brian Williams was powerless against the looming awkwardness and broke into a short but heartfelt chuckle just before offering commentary on the speech. "I'm reminded that he starred in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and I think people will find parts of all three to  talk about," Williams said.

After that speech one thing is clear: Mr. Eastwood has no idea where he is, or what's going on in America.

Also, he looked pretty sleepy.

I thought he was hilarious. Needless to say, there are some sore loser-type liberals who just can't stand the thought that are some conservatives in the Hollywood bunch.

I just can't wait for these lefties to gush over the pronouncements of Biden! I'm sure they will be very unbiased. *gag*

Eastwood looks like he won't even live to vote for Romney.Too bad. OTT it was just another lecture by a multimillionaire armchair quarterback.

I was glad to hear he was against the war though. Did you know he also is pro choice and pro gay marriage? Pronouncements he made when he was a little more lucid a few months back.

There's a big difference in critisizing this mans life, and living it yourself. Lets see you muster over 60yrs of movie and tv entertainment under your belt, and mayor of a city...then, if you live that long, at 82yrs, stand before millions in this world, and give a perfect, flawless speech that everyones going to love...try it, then talk! PISHER!

A new NBC/WSJ poll out Tuesday shows President Barack Obama with a four-point lead over presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney. But as is often the case with polls, some of the more interesting numbers were in the details. For example? Romney snagged zero percent of African-American voters.

Among key demographics, the poll noted that Obama had a lead over Romney. The most stark being when it came to African Americans: 94 percent to 0 percent. Via NBC:

Looking inside the numbers, Obama continues to lead Romney among key parts of his political base, including African Americans (94 percent to 0 percent), Latinos (by a 2-to-1 margin), voters under 35-years-old (52 percent to 41 percent) and women (51 percent to 41 percent).

His lead among those groups isn’t surprising, but hard for the number zero not to catch a person’s attention."

They just didn't poll enough.

Good advise that he gives, to not vote for someone that you don't really like. I won't be voting for either Willard or Obama. Thanks Clint!

Not that it matters. What matters is he volunteered to serve in the army, put on a uniform, and did what he was told to do.

Which is more than YOU have ever done.

Just like John Wayne.

Not even remotely like John Wayne. John Wayne was a punk and a poser that owed his whole career to being 4F so he couldn't get drafted, and thus being available to play movie roles that would have gone to other actors if they hadn't been wearing uniforms. People like Clark Gable who volunteered and flew a bunch of combat missions as a bomber pilot over Germany. Which was probably the most dangerous job in the US Army during WW-2.

And the implication from Reagan in context was that he did something like Guadalcanal.

An outright LIE. Reagan was VERY public about only making training films during WW-2.

Here's the Sine Quo Non:

Would he have qualified for Full VA benefits?

Yes. He WAS qualified to receive the same VA benefits as any other serving soldier if he had suffered any sort of disabling injury while doing his duty as a officer in the Army.

He didn't do this part-time. His full-time job was as a Army officer assigned to a training command.

Clint's gag-writers needed to mine the Eastwood oeuvre for better material. Instead of traipsing down the fundamental "make my day" or "lucky punk" path, why not channel the Man with No Name and remind Mitt that, "Two-hundred-thousand-dollars a year is a lot of money. You're going to have to earn it." Clint also blew a golden opportunity to pay tribute to The Gauntlet's Ben Shockley and tip his hat to George W. Bush simply by squinting and hissing, "I didn't do jack shit."

It is also true that other actors his age and even older were volunteering for active duty status as bomber pilots, and in a couple of cases as armor officers in front line tank units.

If Earth could sing with a female voice. Her strength would be evident, though her tone might waver.

Could she withhold judgment against one of her own, through all we’ve done to her, and our brethren?

We lived in her bosom from which we were born for two million years not forsaking our home.

Then we became something different from all we had known, and in the gasp of a breath we destroyed it all.

Can you blame her for judging us, considering what we’ve done? She gave us every chance to turn it around.

Now we’re all done and she’s endured our abuse, including pillage, plunder, and rape without any excuse.

All she can sing in that mournful tone is sorrow for the power she unleashed, through us and thus dispassionately onto herself, destroyed by one of her own.

She must ponder how our hubris overwhelmed our humility in concluding about our recent selves: They didn’t like it here.

That was a mistake by me. I just assumed a hospital for veterans would be named after a General instead of a politician.

Now,let's talk about another mistake. One YOU keep making over and over again.

From the Department of Veterans Affairs: www.vba.va.gov/bln/21/compensa tion/

What Is VA Disability Compensation?

Disability compensation is a benefit paid to a veteran because of injuries or diseases that happened while on active duty, or were made worse by active military service. It is also paid to certain veterans disabled from VA health care. The benefits are tax-free.

Who Is Eligible?

You may be eligible for disability compensation if you have a service-related disability and you were discharged under other than dishonorable conditions.

First off,it would be REALLY helpful if you would provide a link that works.

Secondly, this appears to be a STATE PROGRAM specifically targeted at combat zone veterans. This is NOT a Veterans Administration program, and even then it says the different counties have their own requriements.

They are about STATE benefits given as grants to combat veterans.

Which has NOTHING to do with how the Veterans Administration works,or how benefits are paid to veterans or what benefits are given to what veterans.

The FACT is that a PEACETIME veteran that was permanently injured in a car accident off-base in any state in the union can be granted up to 100 percent disability from the accident, and receive the SAME benefits in pay and care that a combat veteran in wartime gets from being 100 percent disabled.

That IS the law.

Why ask me? YOU are the one that brought his up.

What I KNOW is that the Veterans Administration has no such designation.

The VA DOES distinguish between service-connected claims and non-service- connected claims, though. Vets get paid compensation for and give free medical treatment for service-connected injuries or illnesses, and people with non- service-connected illnesses or injuries don't receive free medical treatment. Yes,they are treated at VA Hospitals, but the VA sends their insurance company or Medicaid the bill.

AND.....here is the important part,so pay attention,....a veteran can have a service-connected illness or injury that never heard a shot fired and got injured or sick while at the 2 week summer training camp for reserve or national guard troops. It only matters that you were on active duty at the time,NOT where you were.

Of course. Look up the differences in definitions between the words "earned" and "unearned". Don't bother looking in your old Soviet dictionary.

Maybe your therapist should be the one that explains this to you,but I'm going to give it a shot anyhow. People are NOT all equal. The jobs people work are not of equal value to society. The efforts and risks that people take to help preserve this country were not equal efforts and risks, and the people who put forth more effort and took more risks are deserving of more rewards.

Here is another shocker for you, comrade. When you hear the phrase "We are all created equal...",this means in the eye of the law",not when it comes to personal worth or ability.

There are good reasons Pee Wee Herman doesn't play for the NBA or the NFL,and they have nothing to do with him being white.

I speak from experiencing 4 combat tours in that region. PTSD IS a wound but the numbers claiming the wound are far too many to be credible. Like all wounds some deal with them better than others. Many are seeing the financial benefits of claiming something they are adequately dealing with. There are others who need more help that don't ask for it. Those are the ones that should be considered for disability.

PTSD claims are the reason the VA claims are skyrocketing. Why? Because the fluffie left has been demanding the DoD and VA treat PTSD the same as loosing an arm or leg.

There is another reason they are skyrocketing, too. The VA system really pushed vets to make PTSD claims. My best GUESS for this is almost all the WW-2 and Korean War vets have already died off,and there just aren't enough VN era and newer vets to keep the current system fully staffed and operational. Fewer patients=fewer doctors needed, which equals smaller future budgets.

I never once put in for PTSD benefits, not even when it first became trendy to be a "war vic-tum and tragic figure". None the less, the VA INSISTED I had PTSD based ENTIRELY on my unit and job assignment in VN. I was told that "Anybody that did what you did must have PTSD." I told them that was bullshit and practically nobody I served with that is still alive has ever suffered from PTSD. None of this kept them from awarding me 20 or 30 percent service-connected disability based on PTSD. I WILL admit to reaching across a desk there once and grabbing a VA clerk by the throat and dragging him closer to make sure I had his full attention, but that was wholly justified. As I explained to them,"I have no anger management problems and have had no anger management problems until I started coming here and dealing with YOU MF'ers. Everywhere else I'm just fine".

So I ended up with a service-connected PTSD disability award I didn't put in for and don't think I deserve. No big deal because I was already getting paid 100 percent service-connected disability before that award,so there is no additional money or drain on the system involved. IMHO,it was just a think to keep a shrink on staff and drawing his check.

And from talking to younger vets, asking a vet if he or she wanted to put in for PTSD is now as common as saying "good morning!" to them.

Fat chance of that happening. They will never research toxins or 3rd world industrial waste. If they did they would have a bigger problem on their hands. Plus bad air and water exposure does not equal PTSD. Look more towards defects in children and cancer. I was blowing out black snot for weeks after rolling through the burning Kuwaiti oil fields in 91. Somehow that keeps falling off my medical records and I have to keep putting it back in.

Spoke with a friend of mine last night who's been there several times. He will do all in his power to avoid PTSD diagnosis for the following reasons:

He may lose his security clearance

He may lose his right to own weapons privately

He may not be able to work as a defense contractor again

IMHO,this one is the biggie. I have no doubt at all in my mind that in the near future the government will be using PTSD disability as an excuse to confiscate privately held weapons and bar people from buying or possessing new ones.

ESPECIALLY if/when riots/anarchy breaks out and Martial Law is declared. Maybe I am biased, but in MY opinion the one thing they fear more than anything else is a few million armed veterans standing up to a new police state and stopping their abuses. PTSD diagnoses will allow them the excuse the need to start rounding up "mentally unstable people with firearms."

And given how small the modern percentage of the population it is that has military experience and backgrounds, the majority of the population will go along with this because they just don't know any better.

Telephone repairmen NEVER go into combat. They aren't even issued rifles if they are serving in combat zones. Yeah, like every other soldier in the army they are theoretically "issued" a rifle, but the truth is it stays locked up in the company arms room and they see it once a year when they are required to go to the rifle range to qualify with it and then clean it before locking it away again.

For a brief time in VN I was assigned to a conventional army unit because I had physical injuries that prevented me from working as a SF soldier on a team, and I became the company armorer. The company commander, the 1st SGT,and I were the only three soldiers in that whole company that had weapons. The rifles were all locked up in arms racks, the ammunition for those weapons was all locked away in a ammo bunker buried underground between a couple of barracks, and I was the only one with the keys.

This was in a army base just outside the city of Nha Trang in Viet Nam in 1968.

I even heard stories of a 101st ABN Division Fire Base getting over ran by the NVA because other than the guys on guard duty on the perimeter nobody on the base was armed. Once the NVA broke through the perimeter they pretty much ran free with nobody and nothing to stop them until armed troops could be moved in.

You don't believe in PTSD, huh?

Of course I do. True PTSD on a debilitating level is rare, but I have seen it. In every instance it was an individual who had been in a command decision who had lost a lot of the people in his command and even some of his personal friends due to the orders he had given. Not that they were bad orders or even unnecessary orders, but they none the less resulted in the loss of life of people they were responsible for and cared for. It's pretty damn rare for individuals to suffer from PTSD for killing an enemy that was trying to kill him and his friends, though.

I'm just not buying into the dumb-ass description given.

The scriptures often contradict each other. Evidently God didn't do such a good job of infusing KJs scribes with His Holy Spirit. But when God admitted he made a mistake with the flooding of the earth it became known that God was not infallible.

But because of KJ we now associate Christ and God with being "kings". And once KJ had that idea infused among his subjects he knew his own job was safe. And "the devine right of kings" became the law of the land.
