What is a myth to you? Adam and Eve eating a apple off the tree of knowledge? Or is that FACT? Buckeroo evolution isn't a fact just because you proclaim it to be. It is a laughable discredited theory. It isn't the purpose of Christians to battle Muslims. On Adam and Eve eating an apple. That is not a fact. It doesn't mention the fruit specifically.

What makes YOU think that even those versions are close to correct? Since you are so well read on Biblical scriptures, where was anyone during Jesus' stay on the planet writing anything about him? There was no documentation until after the crucifixion and that means, the stuff is from someone's foggy memory. And the same goes for the Torah ( The old testament) which is just a chronology of" begating" this and that person within Jewish folklore. Just like the laffable story of Abraham and Sarah fucking at 100 years old and having a child.

Actually I don't. When asked about it I tell you what I think. I think Israel is for the Jews given to them by God with certain conditions. So I do support Israels right to exist. So I believe there is a God and Israel is in his end times plan. That doesn't mean they need the United States tax money for that plan to be fulfilled. So I don't support any foreign aid save some humanitarian assistance from time to time to help people in natural disasters.
I really can't argue with that Buck. But that doesn't mean the majority is wrong about everything.
I use the King James version. But all the versions document it.
Let us look at Exodus in the Old Testament or the Jewish Torah. What makes you think all that stuff about Moses is true? The Egyptians have no documentation collaborating the myth, yet Ramses was proficient at documentation with his Egyptian priests.

I wouldn't characterize it as a myth. Especially since archeologists have documented the chariots in the Red Sea. I wouldn't expect the Egyptians to admit that they got their asses kicked by Some Hebrew God.

In 1952, Immanuel Velikovsky published Ages in Chaos, the first of a series of books in which he proposed a radical redating of Egyptian history in order to bring the histories of Egypt and Israel into synchronization. Velikovsky's work sparked a wave of new research into ancient history. And while the bulk of Velikovsky's conclusions have not been borne out by this research, his main the-sis has. He had a short reign of four years before drowning in the Red Sea. The Pharaoh who preceded him, whose death prompted Moses's return to Egypt (Exodus 2:23, 4:19), was named Malul. Malul, we are told, reigned from the age of six to the age of one hundred. Such a long reign - ninety four years! - sounds fantastic, and many people would hesitate to take this midrash literally. As it happens, though, Egyptian records mention a Pharaoh who reigned for ninety four years. And not only ninety four years, but from the age of six to the age of one hundred! This Pharaoh was known in inscriptions as Pepi (or Phiops) II [4]. The information regarding his reign is known both from the Egyptian historian-priest Manetho, writing in the 3rd century BCE, and from an ancient Egyptian papyrus called the Turin Royal Canon, which was only discovered in the last century. Egyptologists, unaware of the midrash, have wrestled with the historicity of Pepi II's long reign. One historian wrote: [5] Pepi II...appears to have had the longest reign in Egyptian history and perhaps in all history. The Turin Royal Canon credits him with upwards of ninety years. One version of the Epitome of Manetho indicates that he "began to rule at the age of six and continued to a hundred." Although modern scholars have questioned this, it remains to be disproved. While the existence of a two kings who reigned a) ninety four years, b) in Egypt, and c) from the age of six, is hard enough to swallow as a coincidence, that is not all. Like Malul, Pepi II was the second to last king of his dynasty. Like Malul, his successor had a short reign of three or four years, after which Egypt fell apart. Pepi II's dynasty was called the 6th Dynasty, and was the last dynasty of the Old Kingdom in Egypt. Following his successor's death, Egypt collapsed, both economically and under foreign invasion. Egypt, which had been so powerful and wealthy only decades before, suddenly could not defend itself against tribes of invading bedouin. No one knows what happened. Some historians have suggested that the long reign of Pepi II resulted in stagnation, and that when he died, it was like pulling the support out from under a rickety building. But there is no evidence to support such a theory. A papyrus dating from the end of the Old Kingdom was found in the early 19th century in Egypt [6]. It seems to be an eyewitness account of the events preceding the dissolution of the Old Kingdom. Its author, an Egyptian named Ipuwer, writes: Plague is throughout the land. Blood is everywhere. The river is blood. That is our water! That is our happiness! What shall we do in respect thereof? All is ruin! Trees are destroyed. No fruit or herbs are found... Forsooth, gates, columns and walls are consumed by fire. Forsooth, grain has perished on every side. The land is not light [dark]. Velikovsky recognized this as an eyewitness account of the ten plagues. Since modern men are not supposed to believe in such things, it has been interpreted figuratively by most historians. The destruction of crops and livestock means an economic depression. The river being blood indicates a breakdown of law an order and a proliferation of violent crime. The lack of light stands for the lack of enlightened leadership. Of course, that's not what it says, but it is more palatable than the alternative, which is that the phenomena described by Ipuwer were literally true. When the Bible tells us that Egypt would never be the same after the Exodus, it was no exaggeration. With invasions from all directions, virtually all subsequent kings of Egypt were of Ethiopian, Libyan or Asiatic descent. Perhaps she was... It's not beyond the realm of possibility. She has a specific agenda, that is not in agreement with the stated aims of this forum. That is much is clear. I say what I honestly think. MY agenda is to put out as much information as possible about what's coming, what's really happening in the financial sector, and why it matters to us. It's like that last line in the first Terminator movie, "there's a storm coming..." The title of this thread was "tell me your thoughts," right? Ok, here goes... While I was making a decent living before I started going back to school, I wanted to understand how executives think about money, how businesses gauge which projects are to be funded or scrapped, etc. It's been 15 years of work, studying economics, getting my MBA... and even then, a lot of details were left out of the classroom, and I studied a lot more, well past the 7 years of school already under my belt... I wanted to see, and understand beyond the talking-heads on TV. And I gotta' tell you, I understand a LOT more than I ever thought I would... What I see, scares the shit out of me. The financial systems are inextricably intertwined. The actions of the Federal Reserve, since 2008, have strenghtened those ties between the EU and the USA; we're completely joined at the hip. When the euro goes down the tubes, due to the overt default of Greece or Italy or Spain, people will flock to American T-bills, giving a short bump in value of the dollar, and causing a short-term dip in the values of gold and silver (combined with an attack on both by the big banks). People will see the dollar- to use an expression I've heard by one analyst- as the best-looking horse. But it's the best-looking horse in the glue factory. Eventually- maybe within a couple of weeks of the euro's eventual collapse- people will start flocking to precious metals. They'll see the dollar as being only marginally-better than the euro, because while the dollar is backed by the "full faith and credit" of the U.S. government, there's no faith in the government, and they've used up all our credit... The rest of the world will then start to dump dollars in earnest, and pick up either precious metals or go to the Chinese yuan, in an attempt to find a safe haven. When the dollar gets dropped as the reserve currency, prices for everything will go up (IMHO) by ~3-4 times, overnight. People will start pulling cash, putting into tangibles like food and fuel, causing bank-runs. The Fed will attempt to backstop banks as people pull their money out, by printing mountains of currency, to fulfill FDIC requirements, but it won't matter... The cycle of hyperinflation will begin, and the economic system of the USA and W.Europe will collapse in short order... Think Zimbabwe, 1950's Hungary or Weimar Germany. The main point is, there are only two ways for this nightmare to end; default or (hyper)inflation. Default would strip the politicians of their power, but the country at large will be ok, after a period of pain. Inflation will subject the country at large to a much longer and more intense period of pain, but the politicians will retain power. They'll choose inflation, of course, because it's in their best interest to sacrifice American well-being, rather than sacrifice their own power. The ramifications of massive inflation will be catastrophic; imagine people who live on fixed incomes (social security, welfare, unemployment, etc.)... Imagine that one day the prices suddenly go to the stratosphere; those people on fixed incomes will realize that their checks will not only not put gas in the car, it won't even put a can of beans on the table... Their savings- if they have any- will be worthless. They'll no longer be able to feed their kids, buy diapers, pay the electric bill... Suddenly, there will be no possibility to earn any kind of living, by any means... Americans are in a unique position compared to other countries- we have guns. Lots and LOTS of guns... And when the SHTF, those guns will be used, first against each other, and later against our socialist-leaning government. By the time people start after the government, they'll be highly angry, and focused on who the real enemy is. CWII is coming. There's no stopping it at this point. This fact is exactly why the government is getting podunk police-forces militarized and brain- washed. It's why they're tightening the noose on anyone who might represent a threat to the power of the government bureaucrats, and openly criticize them. It's why the TSA does the full-fondle "pat-downs" at the airports, or make you go through the naked-body scanners... They're trying to get people acclimated to police-state tactics, a lack of privacy, and the primacy of the police-state. THEY know what's coming, and so do I...
