I think there are plenty of conservatives and libertarians who disagree with each other and opposed respective views.... Should the debate be about promoting the right direction of the country, OR, humoring the Commie blitzkrieg and agenda of Leftist propaganda? Of course it can also be considered an intellectual blood sport. The problem with Commies and Leftists at a forum is their lack of logic, un-willingness to exchange cogent, honest thought and debate, and un-willingness to deviate from their hardened dogma. It's not so much a "debate" for these folks as it is about spamming a forum with Commie/Leftist propaganda. QUESTION: When was the last meaningful "debate" between LF's House Commies vs. Conservatives/Libertarians? Leftist do NOT want to debate because the truth is never on their side. That's why all they do is obfuscate, create red herrings, and lie.
Zackly. The site has the name liberty in it. The spew by these assorted dolts is based on nodern dimocrap ideology and linking liberty with these statist dimocrap fax machines stains the very term. All one has to do is view DU to see one mention of liberty as germane to their positions. They live for the religion - and it is the same as DU's religion. There won't be a single post from any of them EVER espousing more liberty - it's always about more control. Always. So that's why I bozoed every last one of them. It's not about debate as they have no interest in debate. The indisputable fact is that Maher and Olberman's IQs exceeds the collective IQ of all of the bulging foreheaded spammers on LF combined. With change to spare. And Maher and Olberdork's buffonery can be mildly comical to tune into from time to time. But this tolerance for breathing stench seems to be the norm now among anyone even an angstrom to the right of Lindsey Graham. We on the right just MUST be tolerant of such nonsense. Just like someone like me trying to post my thoughts on DU or whatever shit sites they operate. Right? AKA really makes no nevermind to me if you allow destro here since I'll not smell his stench anyway. But junk like this crew really operates as per the obama way - disrupt etc....what should be a site for people who really congregate around the vestiges of liberty. What conservative, libertarian, or even moderate searching for reinforcement of conservative principles would take a peek at LF and remain after observing the House Commies make a mockery of things? What kind of young person OR any person would look at this mess and want to remain? If they're looking for camaraderie, unity to our cause, leadership, and focus, they MIGHT find *some* here. SALEM, Ore. - Ralph Nader's supporters were accused Monday of turning in fraudulent petition signatures in their last-ditch effort to place Nader's name on Oregon's Nov. 2 presidential ballot. The Service Employees International Union, which is backing Democrat John Kerry's candidacy, said its analysis of signatures turned in so far by Nader's supporters suggests that two-thirds of them are fraudulent. Alice Dale, the union's vice president, said it appears there has been "overwhelming and systemic fraud" in the Nader petition effort. The union also presented the sworn statement of a janitor who said he heard three Nader petitioners, who are paid by the signature, sitting in an isolated stairwell discussing techniques for forging names. Michael McCarthy, who said he overheard the conversation at the Skidmore Fountain Building where Nader's canvassing operation is headquartered, told reporters that one of the petitioners described "ways to make sure the forged signatures looked more real." He tried this twice this election cycle, and failed both times to get the critical mass needed of signers to put him on the ballot. This initiative effort is a last ditch effort. As for my personal experience with Nader initiative petitions, I have none. I have not election grass roots work of that sort for many election cycles. As I previously stated, if Nader's contractor doing the gathering submits the requisite number of LEGITIMATE signatures, let him be on the ballot to either be voted for or ignored by those voting at the polls or by mail. The issue is initiative fraud which has been a huge issue since Bill Sizemore's people were caught transcribing names from one petition of several they had with them to sign to get paid per signature to others the voter had demurred from signing due to personal choice. The presidential election is the sole voting venue where gathering signatures is paid by the signature. It's an entry-level job. And yes, I did such low-skill jobs (including some janitorial duties), a long time ago... But I decided I wanted to better myself, do more, earn more, and have a future. It became especially important, after the '93-94 recession. I promised myself I'd go back to school, and go as far as I could, to make sure I had an insurance-policy, so that I'd NEVER have to be back at the janitor level. I've worked my ASS off, boot-strapping my way through, to where I'm halfway through my doctorate. It takes a lot of work and diligence, continued focus on the goal(s), and sacrifice. Each success has brought me greater income, a better life, and more satisfaction. Rat-boy chose the alternative- to not work to improve the situation... oh, and yet he'll get on forums like this, and brag about what he was (which wasn't all the much, to begin with), and pretend to be something, when in fact he's chosen to remain a perpetual loser. We ALL have a choice, on how our lives will be. I made my choices, and I'm glad for them... though they weren't easy. Rat-boy took the easy way, and the results speak for themselves. I find the irony delicious. It's had me laughing most of the morning. :)

I'm not in academia, you putz. I take classes that I can use in my work, which I can (and do) apply directly. It's worked out well, not only for the companies I work with, but monetarily as well. :) I return to the company at least 10 times my salary, on a regular basis. And that's in *documented* dollars, not some pie-in-the-sky number. In the past year, it was 50x my salary, and my employers are quite happy with the results. My risk- management skills have also avoided somewhere around 2400x my salary, in the past year. As to "learning nothing in the process," you're not really in a position to judge. I'll be 46 when I finish my doctorate. When done, I'll continue to work another 20-25 years, in the private sector (the public sector doesn't come even close). Hell, I was looking at an attractive position at the CIA- very specialized, right up my alley... but they were ~40% below what I'm making now, much less the cost of living adjustment to live in the Virginia/DC area. LOL. Only when I've made my money, paid everything off, and have a major nest-egg for the future, will I think about "retiring" and then I'll teach as long as it keeps me entertained. What's YOUR plan? Social Security? 401K? Keogh? Roth IRA? Some other nanny-state government handout (stolen from the wallets of those who actually earned their money)?
