What I find remarkable is that there HAVe been some movements that have arised over the lastg 10 years that were somewhat easy to discredit.

Try as hard as they might, OWS remains as purposeful now as it did when it started. And as hard as the monied right is trying hard to put them down, they cannot.

So how do you know if your own city has become a hellhole?

The Pentagon, which previously warned that reliable military spending figures could not be produced until 2017, has discovered that financial ledgers are in worse shape than expected and it may need to spend a billion dollars more to make DOD’s financial accounting credible, according to defense officials and congressional sources.

Experts say the Pentagon’s accounting has never been reliable.

That's encouraging to hear.

I know a number of folks whose defense contractor jobs have dried up in the last few months. They are your typical neocon/Tea Bagger types - retired military with a pension, likely a boatload of money in retirement accounts and regular savings/checking accounts.

And the phuckers are taking unemployment money now. They are in their 50s and young 60s. I never took a dime from unemployment although on reflection I probably could have.

Crap, I'm getting late for happy hour. I've got to support the local economy.

The 99% refers to the distribution of the wealth in America where 1% control 99% of the wealth - thus 99% of the population is disenfranchised. I guess this retard did not major in economics........

So that means, wether you have a job, or not. debt or not, you are in the 99%!

The monied right (as war tagged them) put out this lie since Reagan that all we had to do was deregulate and cut govt and the income levels of everyone would rise up. 30 years later, we find the living standards of all but the top 1% shrunk and the promises they made failed to materialize and trickle down was a scam.

When people realize their "gods" are false they tend to bring down the temples that housed the false idols.

That is what the monied right is very afraid of. Because the "trickle down" talk is no longer registering with people - and this trend is growing - especially on the those hardest hit by this recession - middle ages white men - the so called prime GOP voting block. When more and more of those men who grew up under this Reaganomics fairy tale wake up and realize they have been lied to all their lives - I don't even know how bad the blow-back against the monied right will be by this demographic.

Fred & war, everyone talks about how this economy has hit minority and teens the worst but I only hear a few stories on how badly white middle aged men have faired under the "Great Recession". They have been kicked to the curb in favor of women who work for less money than men and are maybe seen as more compliant or less a threat to the upper male management (women won't take the male boss' job away from him as easily as a hard working male)?

TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) — A gunbattle erupted Friday between hundreds of revolutionary forces and Moammar Gadhafi supporters in the capital for the first time in more than two months after a group tried to raise the green flag that symbolizes the ousted leader's regime.

The fighting began when a group of loyalists carrying the green flag appeared on the streets of Tripoli's Abu Salim neighborhood, which houses the notorious prison of the same name.

3. I also have a device with kills all electronic toys like iphones, macbooks. This will leave the hippies lost and confused when they can't use facebook.

4. I also have a giant billboard which lists the average salaries for certain careers. It's shows that the hundred thousand dollars their parents spent on their degrees is going to land them a job that makes 20K a year and all the fries they can eat.

Actually James predicted the Bush recession while so many others were in de'Nile.

Ask Calcon if he's happy with the plum that accountants got from the Bushies in exchange for their loving support of the Republican way of life. Of course they now have to report their clients to the IRS if they see any financial hanky panky but that's a small price to pay to gain a monopoly.

1%s like Buffett are on board with redistribution of wealth

Buffet started out in life delivering groceries when he was a kid.

Sure, now he's a hypocrite pissing and moaning about not paying his "fair share" in taxes, while trying to skate out on $1 BILLION in back taxes.

So, Obama's business heroes are tax cheat Warren Buffet and GE CEO Jeff Immelt who has shipped tens of thousands of jobs overseas and while not paying a single penny in U.S. taxes last year.

But of course, people making a lousy $250,000 need to be screwed into the ground, so that we can't possibly build the assets needed to compete and challenge the status quo.

The level of hypocrisy in the Democrat Party is absolutely stunning .

I couldn't make this stuff up even if I tried. It's unbelievable.

And they like it that way.....

The crazy fact is that the over the last 100 years the lunatic left has somehow managed to convince a large portion of the population that they are smart, modern, sophisticated, cool, etc. while the free market opposition is old, obsolete, outdated, archaic, etc.

The BUFFET RULE demonstrates conclusively that everything they stand for is built on a pile of lies. Buffet is a lying tax cheater who owes the government $1 BILLION in past taxes. But now he is the new hero of the left.

Unfortunately for the lunatic left, the media is no longer monopolized by ABC, NBC, and CBS. Today, we have talk radio, cable TV, blogs, tweets, and much more.

Free speech will always win out over tyranny, which is why the tyrannical left favors restricting speech.

The crazy fact is that the over the last 100 years the lunatic left has somehow managed to convince a large portion of the population that they are smart, modern, sophisticated, cool, etc. while the free market opposition is old, obsolete, outdated, archaic, etc.

I've never figured out how they have managed to do that considering any "NORMAL" person can see right thru the lies!!!!

Unfortunately for the lunatic left, the media is no longer monopolized by ABC, NBC, and CBS. Today, we have talk radio, cable TV, blogs, tweets, and much more.

One of my friends about 12-15 years ago asked me if it was possible to get the truth out to the average citizen about what the Leftards really were.... And I told him, "Do you see that monitor in front of you, that's how".......

I've never figured out how they have managed to do that

I'll tell you how...

Other than Reagan and maybe Gingrich, have you ever seen a great GOP spokesman?

Rand Paul, Rob Portman, and John McCain (of all people) presented a pretty good jobs bill the other day.

Where were Mitch McConnell and John Boehner???

They were hiding.

Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan, Newt Gingrich, Dick Army, John Kasich... beyond that, the conservative movement within the GOP has been completely devoid of leadership.

That's the problem.

Where is the guy who really stands up and goes toe-to-toe with Obama and the lunatic left?

Nowhere...

Great leaders have three things:

1.) A compelling vision for the future -- how we take the organization forward

2.) Great sales skills -- how we enlist the people into the vision for moving forward

3.) Enough management skills to run the organization to implement the vision, relying on great subordinates for the day-to-day operations

Reagan had all three. Obama completely lacks #3. The current GOP leadership completely lacks #1 and #2.

This is why the left can hold up the biggest tax cheat in the history of the world as a model for raising taxes on people that make a lousy $250,000 a year.

Buffet is a lying tax cheater who owes the government $1 BILLION in past taxes.

Berkshire Hathaway isn't a sole proprietorship.

And until it is shown that BKR owes that money - money for which it has already accounted for, btw - you statement is libel.

Do you see that monitor in front of you, that's how

That's exactly right.

Compare the diversity of information sources today versus when I grew up in the 1970s.

There is no comparison, which is why the left is on the run.

It also explains why the polls are crazy, e.g., a small majority like Obama's tax the rich policies, but a 70% majority think that he is absolutely clueless on the economy...

Many people just aren't used to having this much information at their disposal, so they are confused and erratic.

We are living in a transition period between a closed media and open information.

Today we have both.

The closed media of ABC, NBC, and CBS won't last. Economically, they are on their last legs... This is a good thing.

Perhaps your boy bammy should have paid attention to these "criminal" accountants perhaps that would have saved the taxpayers $535 million dollars.

Auditors Raised Red Flags About Obama's Favorite Green Company SOLYNDRA SCANDAL WIDENS: Zeke Miller|September 12, 2011| 5,740|26

Two months before the federal government provided a $535 million federal loan to the company, auditors found that Solyndra, the bankrupt solar company, had significant financial difficulties, Bloomberg reports.

In a deepening scandal that threatens to ensnare members of the Obama administration, PricewaterhouseCoopers found that the company's finances “raise substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern.” Two months later the company was awarded the loan under a green jobs program.

Solyndra filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection earlier this month — laying off 1,100 employees and leaving the federal government on the hook for the amount of the loan.

House Republicans have been investigating terms of the loan since earlier this year — and will hold a hearing on it on Wednesday. Republicans assert that the Obama administration fast-tracked the loan without following proper procedures.

Last week, ABC News reported that Obama administration officials sat in on the company's board meetings in the months leading up to the bankruptcy filing. FBI agents raided the company's headquarters last week in search of documents pertaining to Solyndra's relationship with the Department of Energy.

Bloomberg reported that the administration rejected the company's request to renegotiate the terms of the loan the day before the company went under.

The GOP had it easy since the Civil War made them thee party in America, then the GOP embraced Prohibition, deregulated the economy which caused the Great Depression and thought leaving Hitler to rule in Europe and Japan in Asia was not that big a deal.

After than the GOP could not get elected dog catcher and those that did get elected continued (did not dare) FDR/Democratic policies.

Then the GOP get into power again with Nixon and the country is in crisis again. Carter stumbled and the American people elected Reagan. Reagan and his new GOP promised a whole lot and it sounded real sweet.

Yet, 30 years later the GOP inspired polices have lowered wages for 99% of the population - not increased them as promised, exported jobs - they did not grow new jobs in America - and ran up the debt.

The GOP is running on the same platform they did under Reagan - same slogans for policies that empirical evidence now shows have failed. No wonder the GOP is no longer fact / science based. If they started to accept fact based reality they would realize the policies they hold dear are bullshit.

A) The USA should have nationalized this company since energy independence is a national security issue.

B) The amount lost in the loan is a drop in the bucket compared to how much the Republican presidency and congress lost - as in it vanished - in Iraq - spent on a war that had no national security bearing. Saving an American solar company against Chinese trade dumping is a national security issue.

I think one of the biggest reasons behind that is a sector of the American public today just can't handle the truth, especially about themselves.. facts and panties in a a twist, excuse me but I do believe you took it upon yourself to try and hijack the thread with another of your assaults on CPA's.

the politicians are to blame for our woes, not cpas or anyone you else you might try and pin the blame.

i'm talking dems and repubs, they're all ciminal pieces of sh*t.

A hair cut, silly. Go easy on James, he's my favorite kook.
