(AP) — Citing a lack of participation, organizers of a tea party rally and convention planned for this fall at The Woodlands racetrack in Kansas City, Kan., have canceled the event. Organizers of the Freedom Jamboree said Tuesday that not enough tea party organizations would commit to the event, which was scheduled for late September and early October. One of the organizers, William Temple, told The Kansas City Star that tea partiers weren't prepared to spend the money to attend the event. The event was expected to attract Rep. Michele Bachmann and former Sen. Rick Santorum, both Republican presidential candidates. Rick Santorum, both Republican presidential candidates. Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum? Both are pro-war, pro-police state Republicans. I don't know why other state tea party organizations are not attending, but Missouri tea party members aren't attending because they aren't falling for Bachmann's bullshit. She is a fraud. She campaigned for arch-RINO Roy Blunt during the Republican primaries in the last election cycle - against several electable conservatives with staunch, small government credentials. Also against the wishes of every Tea Party organization in the state of Missouri. Then, of course, there is the fact that the overwhelming majority of Missouri tea party members are anti-war and Bachmann is a warmonger. Not all conservatives are stupid enough to believe you can reduce the size and cost of government while making war around the globe and implementing a police state at home.
