New World Order Title: It’s Called The American Dream Cause You Have To Be Asleep To Believe It Heres a 1928 US dime. If youve ever called it a Mercurydime, this post was written with you in mind. A 1928 half-dollar has a beautiful image of Lady Liberty walking to the left (called a walking Liberty). The quarter dollar at that time has a standing image of Lady Liberty (called a standing Liberty, predictably). The 1928 dime has a profile of Lady Liberty on it, not the Roman god Mercury. The word Liberty is written around her head, not the name of a god from a dictatorship. Why should you care? Because this fact has been stolen from you, along with much else. The odd hat Lady Liberty is wearing is one that only free men could wear in Greek and Roman times and symbolized freedom and liberty. The wings on the hat symbolize freedom of thought. These historical stories were stolen from the American people and replaced with vicious lies. If Mercury really was on the 1928 dime, the Mint and the American people become idiotic fools, tolerating graven images of false gods on their silver money. Whoever first told those lies wanted the people to reject the beautiful silver coins and forget the ideas of Liberty and Freedom of Thought, even if it caused them to be unable to tell a mans face from a womans face. Now we have coins with the faces of men on them, much like the Romans and the English King, both dictatorships, a form of government rejected utterly by the Founding Fathers. The naturalistic eagle on the back of a walking Liberty was eventually replaced by one in an unnatural pose holding arrows and an olive branch. The fasces, on the back of the dime, is a tied-together bundle of sticks which used to symbolize the unified strength of many people. Now it has somehow become a symbol for a nasty type of dictatorship where men who own the businesses of a country also own the government outright. The present coins are tokens only slightly more intrinsically valuable than the paper versions bearing the portraits of men who (imho) would be horrified to see their mugs on the money, to be mere faces on the fiat. Federal reserve note, indeed. FRN is a three-word toxic story! Paper is poverty
it is the ghost of money, and not money itself. Thomas Jefferson The Empire of Wealthy Men manipulates more than just symbols and stories to achieve its nefarious goals. Wars are started on the flimsiest of pretenses because those men who own the government find it a fast way to obtain public resources. Other, lesser men who work for The Empire will kill or imprison those whom their bosses might find objectionable. People who harm nothing and nobody are put in jail or worse, the unlucky and unwary fall into debt or wage slavery, and public property is sold to the highest bidder. This is a government of the people, by the people and for the people no longer. It is a government of corporations, by corporations, and for corporations. President Rutherford B. Hayes When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men living together in society, they create for themselves in the course of time a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it. Frederic Bastiat Of course this is insane. In order to satisfy a desire or two, a few very wealthy men do terrible things, causing suffering and death to real people. Because of this, citizens die from a lack of affordable competent medical care while others perish from carelessly used depleted uranium munitions. What else could you call it when the desires of the successful money junkies are more important than the needs of the many? It is no measure of mental health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society. Krishnamurti Who benefits from such a sick society? Not only should you follow the money, you should follow the effects on those who are forced to live in it. No vice of the human heart suits it [despotism] better than egoism: a despot will be quick to forgive the people he governs for not loving him, provided they do not love one another. Alexis de Tocqueville Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities. Voltaire
dependence begets subservience and venality, suffocates the germ of virtue, and prepares fit tools for the designs of ambition. Thomas Jefferson Absolute power turns its possessors not into a God but an anti-God. For God turned clay into men, while the absolute despot turns men into clay.Eric Hoffer 1. the humiliation of his subjects; he knows that a small-spirited man will not conspire against anybody; 2. the creation of mistrust among them; for a tyrant is not to be overthrown until men begin to have confidence in one another and this is the reason why tyrants are at war with the good; they are under the idea that their power is endangered by them, not only because they will not be ruled despotically, but also because they are too loyal to one another and to other men, and do not inform against one another or against other men 3. the tyrant desires that all his subjects shall be incapable of action, for no one attempts what is impossible and they will not attempt to overthrow a tyranny if they are powerless. The only way you can preserve the status quo, which we erroneously call democracy, in this atmosphere of instantaneous communication and information ubiquity, is to undermine the capacity of people to process information. Modern life requires a guide, or teacher, in order to navigate the sea of conflicting facts because reason has been deliberately bred out (sic) of the population by 40 years of media saturation bombing. snagged from the commentarioters at Calculated Risk otishertz on Sat,1/23/2010 12:12 pm (There is at least one person in internet land who saves intelligent comments
excess commas and all) Some people will not believe that a corporation that spends millions on advertising every week wont spend a pittance to hire some destitute people in a poor country to troll newsgroups with more than just unwanted advertisements. Sometimes the result is poorly done, as the Fifty Cent Party (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/50_Cent_Party) is rumored to be obviously trollish. I am cheered when I see this done incompetently, as cracks in the wall of deceit are always welcome. However, sometimes the paid-for comments are just unpleasant, abrasive, idiotic, and/or crazy in order to scare away additional commontarioters. I hope others realize this. It is hard enough to hire good help for good causes. Perhaps this inability to hire good help will cause the Empire to falter. Those motivated by greed or lust for power may be competent, but I doubt they will find it easy to hire the best and the brightest people (who might rather be thinking about puzzling research data at three am just for the joy of finding things out). Even if forced to work for the worst, truly bright people are not likely to work to their full potential. What does motivate the best and the brightest? There is also a certain satisfaction in finding a bit of (metaphorical) gold in ones own heart. Sometimes this satisfaction will drive a person to work many hours in a vain quest of intangible things like truth and justice. Therefore, to serve the Empires purposes, stories conjured up when words such as liberty are heard must be weak sauce or nonexistent. (Perhaps Orwell said it best in 1984.) Stories have power. Every Empire must have media saturation bombing to control the stories told, even the stories brought forth when looking at a dime. Empires are not forever, but some stories have an approximation of immortality. Some call these stories wisdom, others call them self-propagating virus-like entities in the human jellyware-generated datastream. Our forgotten stories are important, more important than many realize. Here are a few more stories I think contain wisdom. Know thyself Socrates You are a product of your environment working on whatever it is you have genetically. For your own sake, dont spend your time on this planet spray-painting over your third eye(Bill Hicks). You have an easily fooled conglomeration of cells between your ears, ask any magician. Your brain can also do things that no supercomputer can do, ask any programmer. You may be a talking monkey, but you may be able to eff the ineffable. Do you want to know who you are? Dont ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you. Thomas Jefferson Know your personal stories, for they have power. Guard the limited brain-space you have for these stories, and dont randomly get them out of the tsunami of triviality we call a culture, for it is too rarely used to transmit wisdom. Good stories are hard to find these days. You can forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light. Plato If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension,t he truth is the greatest enemy of the State.-Joseph Goebbels One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If weve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. Were no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It is simply too painful to acknowledge even to ourselves that weve been so credulous. Carl Sagan You are about to be told one more time that you are Americas most valuable natural resource. Have you seen what they do to valuable natural resources?! Have you seen a strip mine? Have you seen a clear cut in the forest? Have you seen a polluted river? Dont ever let them call you a valuable natural resource! Theyre going to strip mine your soul. Theyre going to clear cut your best thoughts for the sake of profit unless you learn to resist. U. Utah Phillips You have owners. They own you. They own everything. They own all the important land. They own, and control the corporations. Theyve long since bought, and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the state houses, the city halls, they got the judges in their back pockets and they own all the big media companies, so they control just about all of the news and information you get to hear. They got you by the balls. They spend billions of dollars every year lobbying . . . lobbying, to get what they want . . . Well, we know what they want. They want more for themselves and less for everybody else, but Ill tell you what they dont want . . . they dont want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They dont want well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical thinking. Theyre not interested in that . . . that doesnt help them. Thats against their interests. Thats right. They dont want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table and think about how badly theyre getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fuckin years ago. They dont want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers . . . Obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it (

Obama's watch stopped on 24 May 2008, but he's been too busy smoking crack to notice.
