June 30 (Bloomberg) -- The Institute for Supply Management- Chicago Inc. said today its business barometer unexpectedly rose to 61.1 in June from 56.6 a month earlier. Figures greater than 50 signal expansion.

Economists projected the gauge would drop to 54, according to the median estimate in a Bloomberg News survey.

Another report today showed the labor market is struggling to improve as more Americans than forecast filed first-time applications for unemployment benefits. Jobless claims dropped by 1,000 to 428,000 last week, the Labor Department said. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg projected 420,000 claims, according to the median estimate.

Yeah, RIIIIIIIIIIIGHT........

Their message? "Believe US, and not your own lying eyes."

Only an idiot would believe this crap.

ISM is a private group, moron.

You really are a piece of work. You "say" the most iodtic things...promote ideas that are easily smacked down...and then turn around and call other people stupid.

That's pretty stupid, Erica.

The DwarF

ISM is a private group, moron.

And that means precisely DICK.

But please, carry on with your Rules of Disinformation:

#8. Invoke authority. Claim for yourself or associate yourself with authority and present your argument with enough “jargon” and “minutiae” to illustrate you are “one who knows”, and simply say it isn’t so without discussing issues or demonstrating concretely why or citing sources.

#17. Change the subject. Usually in connection with one of the other ploys listed here, find a way to side-track the discussion with abrasive or controversial comments in hopes of turning attention to a new, more manageable topic. This works especially well with companions who can “argue” with you over the new topic and polarize the discussion arena in order to avoid discussing more key issues.

#18. Emotionalize, Antagonize, and Goad Opponents. If you can’t do anything else, chide and taunt your opponents and draw them into emotional responses which will tend to make them look foolish and overly motivated, and generally render their material somewhat less coherent. Not only will you avoid discussing the issues in the first instance, but even if their emotional response addresses the issue, you can further avoid the issues by then focusing on how “sensitive they are to criticism”.

And now your favorite:

#20. False evidence. Whenever possible, introduce new facts or clues designed and manufactured to conflict with opponent presentations as useful tools to neutralize sensitive issues or impede resolution. This works best when the crime was designed with contingencies for the purpose, and the facts cannot be easily separated from the fabrications.

Thanks for playing, dummy... it was fun.

Do you have any information that would obviate any of the information in this release, Erica?

Do you have any information that would obviate any of the information in this release, Erica?

For starters, the article that you posted in NOT at the link.

Secondly, the MSM pushes the propaganda that DICK ob@m@ pushes, even as everyone in real life is laughing at it...

Given your confessed lack of knowledge on economics (after all, how much useful information can you get with a poli-sci degree, that you took EIGHT YEARS to get), you're not exactly someone who can argue economic points.

So I'll say flat-out... the economy is still slowly spriraling down the toilet, regardless of the bullshit propaganda you post.

I'm sure I'll be telling you "toldja' so" again... and again... and again.

Wait and see, dummy.

Bookmarked for future laughing at the dummy.

For starters, the article that you posted in NOT at the link.

4. Use a straw man. Find or create a seeming element of your opponent’s argument which you can easily knock down to make yourself look good and the opponent to look bad. Either make up an issue you may safely imply exists based on your interpretation of the opponent/opponent arguments/situation, or select the weakest aspect of the weakest charges. Amplify their significance and destroy them in a way which appears to debunk all the charges, real and fabricated alike, while actually avoiding discussion of the real issues.

In fact, that article is at that link.*

Given your confessed lack of knowledge on economics

That's an outright lie. Had I added a Stats course insteead of taking Algebra and Trig, I could have had a degree in Econ.

*So there must be "26" Rules of Disinformation for Morons.

(after all, how much useful information can you get with a poli-sci degree, that you took EIGHT YEARS to get), you're not exactly someone who can argue economic points.

It took me eight years, doofuse, because I worked, usually two jobs so that I could PAY for school, and went part time for 5 of them. And I went to grad school for a FULL year, i.e. 2 Summer terms and a Winter and a Spring term, afterward, where I studied geo-politics and had I bothered to write a thesis, I'd have the degree.

So I'll say flat-out... the economy is still slowly spriraling down the toilet, regardless of the bullshit propaganda you post.

13. Alice in Wonderland Logic. Avoid discussion of the issues by reasoning backwards with an apparent deductive logic in a way that forbears any actual material fact.

Liar.

Had I added a Stats course insteead of taking Algebra and Trig, I could have had a degree in Econ.

Uh-huh. I had 2 years of Alegebra and Trig, plus another year of geometry... in high school.

My econ degree required two years of portfolio/risk management, 2.5 years of Stats, and a year of Engineering Calculus. What, you get your "degree" online, or from a diploma- mill??? LOL. Again, you get caught in a lie.

studied geo-politics...

"Underwater basket-weaving." Thanks for the laugh.

As a final note, doing the copy-and-paste of the Rules of Disinformation, but improperly applying them due to your apparent inability to understand, makes you look like an even BIGGER ass-hat than you usually do (which is hard to even imagine). A little *hint* for you, dummy... your constant FAILURE to apply those rules to me, is because I'm putting out REAL information, not the DISINFORMATION that YOU post.

Bottom line: You're using bravado, propaganda and pure bullshit, to push an agenda whose real agenda is beyond your comprehension. You don't understand economics... Frankly, you don't know how much you don't know... which makes you both stupid and dangerous.

Oh, BTW, when DICK ob@m@ shits on your face, are you gonna' say it's a shit sandwich?

Probably more relevant to economics than engineering.

What do economics and political science have in common - think about it.

They are TIED at the hip. And when you delve further that more than one of my profs - including my advisor - were actually political economists, it get incestuous.

But watching Erica pretend there is a world of difference between the two is hilarious. Whether you are studying a political system or an economic system at several points there are going to be policy influences and overlap.

What do economics and political science have in common - think about it.

Economics is essentially the mathematical modeling of consumer behavior in a market, as well as production and distribution of goods.

Interesting variables come into play in the field of economics, depending on what you believe. For example, free-market capitalism theory is consumer behavior without government interference or regulation, and the freedom to choose any good you wish, depending on your preferences. OTOH, the Keynesian hypothesis of economics depends on government interference and regulation in economic models, to supposedly achieve greater efficiency and social "justice" (i.e., monetary redistribution via the business-end of a gun). It should be noted that free-market capitalism is easily the most efficient of all systems, and the longest lasting. Keynesian and socialist or communist models always collapse, because the inherent inefficiencies are capitalized on by beggars and corrupt bureaucrats, ultimately bankrupting those systems. This is historically and mathematically demonstrable- the USSR being the most recent example of a failed socialist model.

China will be the next communist model to fail, and when the economic collapse occurs in the Western world fails (over the next few months to years), it will be the latest example of corporatist-fascism to fail.

A point you keep bringing up, due your lack of understanding, is that the USA is NOT a free-market economy; it's not even close. If you believe it is, then show me a single market (or even a single commodity) that you can buy, where the government hasn't interfered/taxed/regulated. The only example I can currently come up with, is Craigslist- the last bastion of true free-market economics. Indeed, I'm building my car using damn-near everything purchased through that website.

Poli-sci studies political events and their relationships. It's a foo-foo area, with no real value to anyone except beggars and corrupt bureaucrats. It offers NOTHING of value to the real world, beyond a bunch of putzes sitting around, pontificating on different ways to fleece their fellow men...

As far as I'm concerned, they have nothing in common, from a practical perspective.
