We all thought they were a hoot! Who would ever imagine that these APES could ever be smart enough to run the US, or the world?? Hilarious. Then we remembered... "affirmative action". And people who were UNQUALIFIED for high paying positions and positions of authority and importance...were somehow put into those positions. And no one spoke out...even though there were some quiet grumbles, and a lot of concern. Then, we got the Black Caucus in the Govt. Where is the Asian caucus? The Native American caucus? Or the White Caucus?? That changed the balance of power in the chambers of Govt. And still...no one spoke up. Reminds me of the "mute" whites in those movies. Has equality today been re-defined so that some people are given 2 scoops of equality and the rest only get a half scoop? Recent events, and the state of our nation are concerning. A look to the past to see where the beginnings of these trends occurred is enlightening. I found it highly coincidental that the 1964 Civil Rights Act barely preceded the making of this series of movies. Did someone want to tell us what to expect in the future...without making any remarks or comments that could be construed as "prejudical"? If in fact, had the movie been made using blacks instead of apes, it may never have been shown. Did someone predict the future? Or warn us of the future? Or did they just project their biases in such a way that this was a worse case scenario? Why then today, as I watch events on the news, do I feel as if I am watching a replay of the Planet of the Apes? What about you?

Thus spoeaketh the biggest beneficiary of her "kindness"* and, ironically, also least apprecaitive of it. *Boofer was banned by Neil and brought back by Goldi. It took over a YEAR for Goldi to be "convinced" that Boofer had run and was running background searches on posters through his business before she finally banned him for doing so.

I'd say the vast majority of LP's posters aren't a bunch of racist pricks but that damn Goldi is. goldi's nothing but a Firster Entitlement-loving scumbag faux-conservative.
She's terrified the apes are going to take over, sure would be funny if a family of her worst nightmares moved in next door to her condo...
I have had some fun posting there over the years, and never really paid much attention to anything other than my own conversations. When she mistreated liberator, a person who had defender her numerous times, I just didn't see any reason to stay. There is a lot of complexity to running these sites and managing personalities- and trying to remain impartial during flame wars- But just tossing people out, like she did to liberator is unethical in my book.
Who knows what the truth is. All I know for certain is that if war makes a claim, you can usually bet the truth will be found in a different direction. So who knows?

Like you, I had some fun there as well over the years. But the fact is Sally's bi polar moderating caused a ton of problems for herself and those registered there. I was angry at her gross misrepresentations related to me...at the time. I took it way too seriously, but then again I was one of her biggest financial backers for four or so years. Now? Sheesh, I'm glad I was long gone - banned - before it went right down Storm Front Lite's winding road.

Don't know what the dwarf posted due to the filter, so I can't respond to this. And honestly....I have no reason to address his rants. Why bother? His infatuation spans five forums, all of which he's been banned, suspended, banned, reinstated (here and at the now defunct pipelinenews). I just know he dwells on it, 24/7/365...as his posts demonstrate beyond any doubt. That does provide unique statisfaction....(chuckle) But its not important, by any stretch of the imagination, his or anyone else's.

Yukon- I really do not like dishonesty. Goldi should have addressed the death announcement thread. She should not have tossed liberator out the way she did. I don't think it is funny at all that she did not address the real concerns on that thread- or that she just willy nilly is tossing people out- who had feelings about what had happened. for her to be shucking and jiving on a fundraising thread-, tossing people out, and refusing to address that death thread is the most bizarre thing I have seen online. If she is not going to be trustworthy, honest or serious- WHY should she expect her posters to be any of those things? If her posters are acting poorly, she only has herself to blame. THAT is the leadership she is showing them.

Where were you when other posters at LP were being mistreated? Did you make a stand? Goldi has allowed so much TomFoolery to go on over there, and NOW all of sudden- when she is ignoring a thread about her death- and she is tossing people out for being serious- SHE wants people to get honest? No- too weird. If what you claimed happened, happened- guess what? There is nothing that can really be done. That is the nature of the internet. The FBI and police would tell you to change your screen name and stop going to that site. I have been impersonated, lied about and had some ID theft, by a poster at LP- and do you think Goldi cared about that? Do you think she deleted the thread of harassment? No. NO. Where were you when that was happening to me? You were joining in on the fun and games of it all.. by the way. Now you want everyone to be serious? To be honest? To care that you were victimized? Half of the posters who are supporting you right now are the biggest liars on these sites. They think they are not accountable for THEIR behavior- because it is just the internet, and apparently that means the people they crap on are not real. Eh- I am so not in the mood to belabor the story again. I have talked about it 1,000 times. Point is, if what you claim happened really happened- then there is really nothing than can be done. I, for one, (who has experience with the smarmy side of internet bullying), can't even offer you support or compassion about it- because Goldi is acting all sorts of crazy, and looks guilty- and the posters who are your henchmen, are totally dishonest liars- and you have befriended people who who are game players and cyber stalkers. It makes you look bad. You want sympathy and compassion and yet- you never offered that to anyone else who was going thru harassment. That would mean that I would have had to lie in court. I don't need to lie, and therefore don't lie. We are not in court. I have never denied Christ- I have never given false testimony- I have never lied when I witnessed. No matter how you read that Commandment, you are wrong. If I were you, I would lay off judging Christ followers with your very uneducated view of the Bible- and your self serving application of the Commandments. If you knew anything about God- you would know that he is going to punish that sort of behavior.. harshly, and prolly has somewhere in your life and your relationships.
