Christian Parents Should Have Their Kids Play with Toy Guns

According to CBS, St. Louis, Pastor Rodney Francis, of the Washington Tabernacle Baptist Church, wants to keep kiddos away from guns, so this summer his church is planning a “toy gun buy back” program. How quaint. I kid you not: A. Toy. Gun. Buy. Back. Sounds like he’s setting up the next generation to be victimized slaves to bad people and policies. Yep, Reverend Rodney “feels” he needs to do “everything (he) can to not allow our kids to get exposed to (guns) too early.” Aww ... ain’t that sweet? Hey, maybe he could also hand out during that event some “kick me in the butt” signs for everyone’s back. As a Christian I have a real ...

Sarah Palin: Feds ‘stockpiling bullets’ to use against us Sarah Palin says America will eventually default on its debt and claims that the federal government is “stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest” to prepare. “If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we’re running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re finished. We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest,” Palin wrote in a Facebook message Tuesday. Beretta USA, the domestic division of the Italian firearms manufacturer, recently informed Maryland it will move operations out of the state if a law aimed at the Second Amendment is enacted. “Enact such measures at your own risk,” the company told lawmakers, according to Bizpac Review. Beretta’s ARX-160, developed for the Italian armed forces and now in commercial prototype, would be outlawed by the pending legislation. Photo: Defense Review. Jeff Reh, a member of the Board of Directors for Beretta U.S.A. Corp., told lawmakers the company opposes Maryland Senate bill 281, otherwise known as the Firearm Safety Act of 2013. The law proposes “altering” how the Second ...

Federal court says concealed gun permits not protected by 2nd Amendment

DENVER – A federal appeals court has ruled that permits allowing people to carry concealed weapons are not protected by the Second Amendment. The ruling by the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals was issued Friday in a case involving Washington state resident Gray Peterson. A federal judge in 2011 tossed out Peterson's lawsuit filed against Denver and the state's Department of Public Safety. Peterson claims that being denied a concealed weapons permit because he was not a Colorado resident violated his Second Amendment rights to bear firearms. According to gun rights groups, Colorado is one of about two dozen states that do not honor concealed weapons permits from ...

Senators near a deal on background checks for most private gun sales (NRA/D/R agree on registration & confiscation)

A bipartisan group of senators is on the verge of a deal that would expand background checks to all private firearms sales with limited exemptions, but significant disagreements remain on the issue of keeping records of private gun sales, according to aides familiar with the talks. An agreement would be a bold first step toward consideration of legislation to limit gun violence in the wake of the mass shootings at a Connecticut elementary school in December and comes as the Senate Judiciary Committee is expected this week to begin considering new proposals to limit gun violence. The talks, led by two Democrats and two Republicans, are expected to earn more GOP support in the coming days and ...

NRA uses Justice memo to accuse Obama on guns

WASHINGTON — The National Rifle Association is using a Justice Department memo it obtained to argue in ads that the Obama administration believes its gun control plans won't work unless the government seizes firearms and requires national gun registration — ideas the White House has not proposed and does not support. The NRA's assertion and its obtaining of the memo in the first place underscore the no-holds-barred battle under way as Washington's fight over gun restrictions heats up. The memo, under the name of one of the Justice Department's leading crime researchers, critiques the effectiveness of gun control proposals, including some of President Barack ...

Russia Targets Americans Amid Obama’s Gun-control Battle (7.62x54R)

7.62x54mm R (Mosin Nagant) President Obama helped spur a run on firearms and ammunition by people looking to stock up before proposed gun controls take effect — and the impact is being felt even in unlikely places. Like Russia. And Serbia. A scroll through the website of Midway USA, an online gun supply clearinghouse, shows scores of “Out of Stock, No Back Order” or “Unavailable — Seasonal Run” messages for certain types of munitions. But Midway USA does list the Prvi Partizan Ammunition 7.62x54mm Rimmed Russian box of 20 rifle cartridges — manufactured in Serbia — as one of its most popular ammo products. Even on the shelves at Wal-Mart stores, gun ...

Missouri bill would imprison legislators proposing gun control

A Missouri lawmaker is proposing to send colleagues to prison for introducing gun control legislation — a plan even its sponsor acknowledges has no chance of passage. Rep. Mike Leara, a St. Louis County Republican, said Tuesday that his bill is a statement of principle. It would make lawmakers guilty of a felony punishable by up to four years in prison if they introduce legislation restricting gun rights. Rep. Stacey Newman, a St. Louis Democrat, called the measure “unconstitutional” and said she will go directly to prison if the bill passes. Newman is sponsoring a measure requiring guns to be sold by licensed dealers and forcing dealers to conduct background checks. The ...

Gun Makers Boycott Governments Hostile To Second Amendment

In a turning of the tables, liberty minded gun makers and companies that supply firearms, accessories and ammunition have determined that they have had it with anti-gun governments at the city, state and Federal levels, even if it means lost revenue. Several companies have announced that they will no longer be supplying equipment to hostile governments, police forces or first responders. New York and California have become the prime targets, making an example of out-of-touch politicians who continue to trample upon the Constitutionally protected rights of their citizens to keep and bear arms. Breitbart compiled a list of statements from several of these companies: LaRue Tactical Effective ...

Gun Rights: Are There Any Peaceful Solutions Left?

Throughout history, citizen disarmament generally leads to one of two inevitable outcomes: Government tyranny and genocide, or, revolution and civil war. Anti-gun statists would, of course, argue that countries like the UK and Australia have not suffered such a result. My response would be – just give them time. You may believe that gun control efforts are part and parcel of a totalitarian agenda (as they usually are), or, you may believe that gun registration and confiscation are a natural extension of the government’s concern for our “safety and well-being”. Either way, the temptation of power that comes after a populace is made defenseless is almost always too great ...

How the post-Sandy Hook gun control push spectacularly backfired in America (Piers goes full auto in Texas)

(NaturalNews) In the aftermath of the tragic Sandy Hook shooting, the gun grabbers across America unleashed a full court press to try to wholly disarm American citizens. With the help of the incessantly anti-gun mainstream media, people like Biden, Bloomberg, Cuomo, Feinstein and Obama managed to stir up a frenzy of fabricated fear that promised all our children would be violently gunned down if we didn't immediately agree to turn in all our guns and ammo magazines. The push for gun control, however, has spectacularly backfired. In reality, it has hardened the positions of gun rights advocates while massively increasing the number of AR-15s and other firearms sold across the country. The ...

Similar bills have been introduced in other states after the Newtown, Conn., school massacre. They include Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and New York. “I was moved, like many others, being the father of two young children, by the Sandy Hook incident and looking for constructive ways to manage gun violence here in California as well as the rest of the country,” said Assemblyman Philip Ting ...

What the Judiciary Committee Should Ask Wayne LaPierre By Frank Smyth, January 29, 2013 On Wednesday, the Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on gun violence featuring testimony from the NRA's Wayne LaPierre, as well as Mark Kelly, the husband of former Representative Gabrielle Giffords, Democrat of Arizona, who was shot in the head while holding a public meeting in her district two years ago. Members of the Judiciary Committee should take the opportunity to press LaPierre on whether his organization truly represents the views of most American gun owners--and on what, specifically those views are. While the NRA boasts a 4 million strong membership, it has a secretive and ...

A recent poll conducted by the National Association of Chiefs of Police indicated that almost 64 percent of police commanders and sheriffs favor a law allowing private citizens to carry concealed firearms for protection. Almost 73 percent said that citizens should not be restricted from purchasing more than one weapon, and 96 percent say they believe criminals obtain firearms from illegal sources. Unfortunately most states - especially those called Blue States due to their Liberal-leanings - continue to prohibit private citizens from carrying concealed handguns. At the same time, there are outspoken opponents of gun ownership, such as Senators Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Diane Feinstein ...

Universal background checks would strip 18-20 year olds of handgun rights

Lost amidst the clamor for universal back ground checks are a lot of important details. One of those details, besides the issues of who will pay for universal background checks, and how will such checks be precluded from turning into a registration scheme, is the fact that simply making firearm background checks “universal” would have to effect of denying the right of 18-20 year olds to own a handgun, even in their home. In 2008 the US Supreme Court held in District of Columbia v. Heller that the Second Amendment “guarantee[s] the individual right to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation.” At issue in Heller was the District of Columbia’s statute which ...
