From NBC: The Russian-made assault rifle, identified on a simple brass plaque as Osama bin Ladens AK-47, shares a glass case with an al Qaeda training manual found in Afghanistan soon after 9/11. The rifle was supposedly taken from the Abbottabad compound by the Navy SEAL assault team that allegedly killed the al-Qaeda leader, according to NBC. It is a mystery how the weapon turned up at the CIAs museum, although the agency boss at the time, Leon Panetta, is said to have requested it. NBC ...
The Zimmerman Trial Was Ultimately About Going After Guns & Self-Defense Laws
Post Date: 2013-07-20 08:08:34 by CZ82
The Zimmerman Trial Was Ultimately About Going After Guns & Self-Defense Laws If you havent been able to put two and two together yet, the spectacle we just witnessed as the George Zimmerman trial wasnt really about George Zimmerman at all. It wasnt a trial to find real justice and it wasnt even a trial where George Zimmerman was the accused. It wasnt about Trayvon Martin or the perceived injustice of a white guy who wasnt white being racist against a poor, oppressed black kid. Nope, this was a trial where the nations self-defense laws were the accused and it was designed explicitly to get the new generation of ding dongs educated in social ...
Colorado town considers licensing bounty hunters to shoot down drones
Post Date: 2013-07-17 16:42:31 by hondo68
The tiny town of Deer Trail, Colo. barely more than a wide spot on Interstate 70 about 55 miles east of Denver, population 546 is considering an ordinance that would authorize licensed bounty hunters to shoot down unmanned aircraft violating its sovereign airspace. A six-page petition circulated by a resident says that the threat of surveillance from drones regardless of who is piloting them is a threat to traditional American ideas of Liberty and Freedom enjoyed by Deer Trails ranchers, farmers, cowboys and Indians, as well as contemporary citizens. Therefore, drone incursions are to be seen as acts of war. According to ...

America Will See Its Worst Race Riot Yet This Summer
Post Date: 2013-06-29 19:45:20 by jwpegler
Yes, the George Zimmerman trial here has thousands of African-Americans getting ready for some serious bloodletting. I dont want to make idle and dire predictions but this nation has never been so divided and racially sensitive. Our African-American President took sides on this case at the very beginning. That ratified a George Zimmerman guilty verdict in the minds of millions. Theres just one little problem, and that is the murder case should have never been filed. It was filed purely for political reasons despite the fact that it was a simple justifiable homicide. Zimmerman was on the block watch lookout program and followed a suspicious Trayvon Martin after he used an ...

Biden Pledges More Executive Action On Guns “Later This Week”
Post Date: 2013-04-28 11:22:39 by We The People
WASHINGTON Vice President Biden told White House allies in the gun control fight Thursday that President Obama will be announcing new executive actions on gun violence in the days after the Senate voted down a gun violence bill. On a conference call with "stakeholders," Biden told gun control advocates that the fight is not over and that eventual action on gun control will come. Press were not invited to the conference call; a participant provided BuzzFeed with access. "Look, I know you're going to say that I'm just being an optimist and I'm trying to put a good face on this. But, you know, I've been around here a long time and we've already done, ...
Amid gun control debate, Americans ask how bombing suspects obtained firepower
Post Date: 2013-04-22 18:48:38 by Ferret Mike
WASHINGTON - Just days after U.S. senators defeated a bid to expand background checks on potential gun buyers, Americans are asking how the Boston Marathon bombing suspects acquired a cache of firearms alongside their explosives. Among the weapons officials have said were in the possession of Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were not only several bombs, but handguns, an M-4 carbine rifle and more than 250 rounds of ammunition. Much of that arsenal was on fiery display when the brothers engaged in a wild gun battle with police in suburban Watertown early Friday, shortly after images of them milling about the marathon's finish line were released to the public by the FBI. Tamerlan ...
Civil war battle lines being drawn as Magpul, Colt, Beretta and other gun manufacturers relocate to pro-Constitution states
Post Date: 2013-04-14 18:32:16 by A K A Stone
NaturalNews) A civil war looks likely to break out in America, and it will pit gun rights advocates (people who love liberty) against gun control zealots (people who hate freedom and love tyranny). The battle lines are being drawn right now as gun manufacturers are leaving anti-Constitution states like Connecticut and Colorado and relocating to pro-Constitution states like Texas and Arizona. Why does this matter? Because in effect, the anti-Constitution states are disarming themselves by expatriating weapons manufacturers. Thus, they are eliminating their own weapons infrastructure and leaving themselves relatively defenseless should a civil war occur. States like Texas and Wyoming, where ...

Growth of suburbs in pro-gun states changing the political calculus in Congress
Post Date: 2013-04-12 00:33:23 by Ferret Mike
Pennsylvania, Georgia and Virginia have long been bastions of gun-rights supporters, with vast rural areas and strong hunting traditions. But in recent days, lawmakers from those states have demonstrated a new willingness to back stricter firearms regulations, setting the stage for what could be the first major gun-control legislation to pass Congress in two decades. The shift underscores a new reality of gun politics in America: The rapid growth of suburbs in historically gun-friendly states is forcing politicians to cater to the more centrist and pragmatic views of voters in subdivisions and cul-de-sacs as well as to constituents in shrinking rural hamlets where gun ownership is more of ...

Rand Paul and Ted Cruz threaten filibuster on guns
Post Date: 2013-03-25 21:07:43 by A K A Stone
Sens. Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee are threatening to filibuster gun-control legislation, according to a letter they plan to hand-deliver to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reids office on Tuesday. We will oppose the motion to proceed to any legislation that will serve as a vehicle for any additional gun restrictions, the three conservatives wrote in a copy of the signed letter obtained by POLITICO. Reid plans to bring up a gun-control measure that focuses on broadening background checks and cracking down on interstate gun-trafficking after the current Senate recess. Conservatives are concerned that once that bill reaches the floor, amendments could stiffen ...

Feinstein: All Vets Are Mentally Ill And Government Should Prevent Them From Owning Firearms During the Senate Judiciary meeting today to markup a potpourri of bills designed to deny the American people their rights under the Second Amendment and disarm them, Senator Dianne Feinstein opposed an amendment to her so-called assault weapons ban legislation that would allow veterans to continue buying firearms the bill would outlaw. Feinstein basically said all veterans have PTSD and should have their Second Amendment stripped. In response to the amendment, she said the following:
this adds an exemption of retired military. As I understand our bill, no issue has arose in this regard ...
